“We’ve arrived. Now we are looking for a place to park. Don’t worry about us. Get ready for your concert later.”

“Hayden, there’s an empty spot!”. Benjamin stopped Hayden.

“Where?” Hayden quickly drove in the direction where Benjamin pointed, “Freddie, we’ll talk later. I’ll call your assistant after I park the car.”

“Okay.” Freddie replied.

After parking the car, Benjamin took Stella by the hand and they followed Hayden. They headed backstage where they saw Freddie’s assistant waiting for them at the entrance.

Freddie’s assistant breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of Hayden. He quickly ushered Hayden into the dressing room as he explained, “You’re finally here, Hayden. Freddie has been rushing me to wait for you here since the afternoon. He was worried you wouldn’t find your way.”

Hayden felt resigned.

“He’s impossible. Freddie’s too worried, it’s his first concert and he shouldn’t worry about anything but that. I won’t dare come again if he keeps acting like that.”

Two teams rushed past Hayden with props as Hayden spoke. The standing microphone almost hit him in the face. But luckily, Benjamin reacted quickly and pushed Hayden away.

“What are you guys doing? Be careful. You can’t afford to damage either our props or our guest.”

“It’s okay.” Hayden tried to mediate.

People were busy with preparations for the concert. Better not to trigger any disputes.

However, Hayden was worried about Stella. As he was about to turn and ask Benjamin to look after Stella, he saw that Benjamin had already carried Stella and was carefully protecting her in his arms.

Hayden was stunned, she still remembered what he looked like when she first met him. When Benjamin woke up in the hospital after the accident, he looked innocent, scared and confused. Hayden was the only person she could trust.

Hayden couldn’t remember from when Benjamin had become an adult, even when he hadn’t regained his memory.

Maybe he was like that before the accident. Hayden can’t help but wonder what kind of environment Benjamin was in that made him so mature.

“There are too many people here. I’ll take Stella somewhere less crowded…”. Hayden woke up from his thoughts when Benjamin spoke to him.

“Sure.” Hayden nodded, “You should take Stella first, I’ll follow after I talk to Freddie. It’s almost time.”

Freddie’s assistant nodded and looked at his phone, “Yeah, it’s almost time. The concert starts in about ten minutes.”

Benjamin led Stella into the auditorium and sat down in front of the stage as Hayden walked into the dressing room with Freddie’s assistant.

“Where’s Freddie?” After looking around, all Hayden saw were Freddie’s stylists, makeup artists and his manager. Freddie was not in the room.

“Freddie went to the bathroom. He should be back soon.” Freddie’s manager replied. He smiled warmly when he saw Hayden, “Hi, Hayden! Come, sit down, where’s Stella?”.

“There are too many people here and I was worried she might create problems for the team. I’ve sent her to the auditorium.”

The team in charge of Freddie’s itinerary was familiar with Hayden. Freddie’s manager and assistant were with him when he shot the program that was launched thanks to the hotel. The team really likes Stella.

Although Joseph said he didn’t like Freddie, he provided him with top-notch equipment and allocated a considerable amount of advertising money. It had only been a few months since Freddie’s debut on a television show. But tickets for his solo concert had already sold out.

Hayden was impressed by Freddie’s accomplishments. He had almost forgotten what had happened this afternoon.

“I’m sorry, miss. You can’t come in…”

“What are you talking about, don’t you know who I am?”.

A scuffle ensued, drawing the attention of those present in the dressing room.

The door opened and a huge bouquet of pink flowers entered the room. The person holding it hid behind it and said in a flirtatious tone, “Surprise! Congratulations on your first concert, Freddie.”

“Who is this woman?” Freddie’s manager frowned, “Is she a fan? Who let her in?”.

The security guard was nervous, “She came in when I wasn’t paying attention. She said she was Freddie’s sister, there wasn’t much we could do.”

“Sister?” Freddie’s manager got angry, “Freddie’s sister is sitting here, who is this woman? Get rid of her.”

“Hayden?” The woman showed her face when she heard what Freddie’s rep said. Her face turned red when she saw Hayden, “Why are you here?”.

Freddie’s representative was stunned. He asked hesitantly, “Do you know her, Hayden?”.

Hayden was slowly enjoying his cup of tea. He smiled at Freddie’s rep’s question, “Sort of.”

Hayden recognized Chelsea’s flirtatious voice when she walked in. He got goose bumps as soon as he heard her voice. Hayden didn’t scream because he wanted to see how brazen Chelsea was to come backstage without Freddie’s invitation.

“Kind of? How rude.” Chelsea set the bouquet down on the couch and looked around. She glared at Hayden after confirming that Freddie wasn’t in the room, “Have you been gone too long? Don’t you recognize your own family? You have no heart, I dare you to tell father this when you ask him for the house.”

Those in the dressing room immediately understood who Chelsea was after overhearing their conversation. People began to whisper.

“That’s something else.” Replied Hayden calmly, “You came into the room so rudely. I dare not say I know you, lest I embarrass Freddie.”

“You…” Chelsea’s face was blue. She sneered, “I came to support Freddie, I grew up with him, how could that be embarrassing, how about you? You went abroad without getting married and came back with a daughter, a little disgrace who doesn’t know who her father is. Do you think this is another Cinderella story now that you’re with the ST Group Director? What are you proud of? You’re nothing but a stepmother to someone else’s child.”

Hayden clenched his fists.

He hated people who spoke ill of his daughter. Luckily Stella wasn’t here, otherwise she might tear Chelsea to shreds.

“My personal experiences have nothing to do with me being here supporting my brother, do they? Sis?” It sounded like she meant something else when Hayden emphasized the term ‘sister,’ “But sis, do you think people don’t know how you feel about Freddie? Won’t your boyfriend get jealous when he finds out you came here to support Freddie like this?”

Chelsea’s face turned green, “What nonsense are you talking about?”.

How was he supposed to know what was going on in her house?
