Hayden made a long face and put his ear close to the door, listening to Joseph’s voice coming from outside. “No need, I still have things to take care of. I’ll put the presents in here. Let your mommy get a good night’s rest.”

“Okay.” Stella said.

Joseph was speechless.

“See you later, Joseph.”

Joseph was in a hurry and left after handing her those items. What was the point of this?

“He’s apologizing!” Alayna was sitting on the floor, holding the latest handbag model Chanel brought out. And she also explained to Hayden, “Don’t you understand? He has reflected on himself and felt guilty, so he decided to buy this to make it up to you. It’s the latest model, where did he buy it?! It’s a limited edition.”

“You’re like a backseat chauffeur.”

Hayden pulled out the fruit salad and set it on the table. He sat cross-legged on the floor and sighed, “I think it’s fine, it’s not as complicated as you were saying. In fact, it’s simple. I’ll just ask him about that day when I meet him.”

“Oh yeah?” Alayna was puzzled, “In my experience, men are…. Ah!”.

Hayden tried to stop overthinking it, “No, this wouldn’t be it. Maybe it’s like what I assumed earlier. Maybe he was only able to make an appointment with the doctor with Violet’s help. I heard Joseph’s assistant mention it once.”

“See a doctor?” Alayna flipped through her phone and opened Violet’s profile, “Would you still say they went to Germany just to see a doctor after seeing this?”

Violet was lying by the hotel pool, with a caption of, “[Appreciating having you on such a special day. Happy birthday to me].”

A week ago was Violet’s birthday, and many blessed her online. However, she was at a resort hotel in Germany. And she had sparked a heated debate on the internet.

“Shameless.” Alayna gritted her teeth and turned off the phone, “Don’t be sad, Hayden. I’ll recruit an army of internet fans to rebuke this cheating couple.”

Hayden was confused, and seemed to have ringing in his ears. He never thought Joseph cared so much. He’d always thought Noah was the main reason for getting close to Joseph.

But now that she had seen him having a secret relationship with another girl, Hayden felt heartbroken. The pain was no less than the pain she felt when she discovered her ex-boyfriend cheating on her.

“Let me think about it.” Hayden stopped listening to Alayna comforting her and locked herself in her room.

“Cheating?” Kevin was perplexed. He was stunned for a moment after seeing the news, and let out a sudden laugh, “Joseph’s acting too fast!”
