Chapter 75
It was the same old tricks.
He would kiss me whenever he couldnât win in an argument.
The man cupped my jaw and kissed me hard and fast, and his hands fell on my waist, rubbing me and making me shudder.
I knew that if I let him continue like this, I would become too embarrassed to walk out of that door.
But it wasnât up to me.
He was overbearing and strong when it came to this. The power gap between a woman and a man was miles apart.
I couldnât resist so I could only beg Ryan for mercy. I knew begging him always worked. âRyan, you donât do this. What will others think of meâ¦â
âWho? Jack?â he asked while kissing. The voice that was coming through his teeth was deep and sexy.
I obviously wouldnât go against him at such times. I could only be forced to accept his kisses while explaining in a seamless manner, âI, I really donât have anything with him⦠Itâs just because of MSâs design competition, itâs only⦠wellâ¦â
âYouâre just using him?â
His thoughts were extraordinary, but I could hear that he was no longer so hostile..
All I could do now was to try to get out of there as soon as possible. âYou can think of it that way if you wantâ¦â
The man loosened his grip slightly and gave me some breathing space. His eyes were dangerous and ambiguous, his thumb rubbing on my lips and then falling on the chest, waist, and between the legs. He then asked in a deep voice, âWhen have you lost your feelings for him?â
I never knew I had feelings for Jack.
Before Jack returned to Cheria, he and I hadnât seen each other for three whole years. Why did Ryan think I had feelings for Jack?
I frowned. âThereâs nothing between us.â
Thinking about the last time he dunked Jack in the bar, this time I had to explain clearly to him.
Otherwise, I would be dragging Jack into this again.
Ryan lowered his eyes. âIs that so?â
âWhat do you think? Do you think everyone is like you and Jessica, so ambiguous?â I couldnât help the sarcasm.
He looked at me with a serious face. âI donât have anything with her either.â
âRyan! Ryan!â
As his words fell, a voice that both he and I were all too familiar with resounded from outside the door.
O+IS SONUS
It came from far and near, accompanied by the sound of âthumpingâ on the door.
Someone was looking for Ryan room by room.
It was like catching an adulterer.
I looked at Ryan and said, âShe knows your whereabouts all the time and you tell me thereâs nothing between you?â
I could vaguely recall that on the second day of the third wedding anniversary, Jessica was clearly already trying to declare her sovereignty.
Ryan was still able to look at me and say, with an indifferent face, that he only gave that necklace as a sign of comfort because Jessica had just gotten divorced.
He had the exact same look on his face just now.
There was no credibility at all
âRyan! Come out here!â
Jessicaâs voice was getting closer and closer, and Ryan furrowed his brows in annoyance, his face was darker than ever.
âI didnât tell her.â
âThen go out now and tell her to go away.â
I was deliberately testing him.
It was typical of women to give things a try even though they knew there was no hope.
Ryanâs thin lips pursed slightly. He didnât move, but I was not willing to continue to be like this. It was as if
I was a mistress. I pushed him away and was about to open the door.
âCharlotte!â He pulled me back, stopping me. âIâll go.â
âWhat about me?â
His face sank slightly as he thought for a moment. âYou can come back out later on.â
At those words, my entire body froze in disbelief.
A bitter feeling arose in my heart. I didnât whether to laugh or cry. âWhat⦠what did you say?â
