Chapter 410
Danny looked up at me. âCharloote, how do you spell âUncleâ?â
âUâNâCâLâE, got it?â
âYeah,â
After a moment, he looked up again. âHow do you spell âhomeâ?â
âHâOâMâE.
Just as I finished speaking, the doorbell rang.
I got up to answer the door and, looking outside, was both surprised and delighted, âDilan!â
âWoof woof woof!â
A white Samoyed jumped onto me, rubbing against me enthusiastically.
I was overjoyed and turned to Jack, âJack, I was just thinking about when to have Dilan shipped back to the country, and youâve brought him over for me.â
âYouâre used to him. Having him around is good for you.â
âThank you!â I looked at him gratefully. âWithout you, my recovery wouldnât have been so quick.â
He teased, âArenât you going to invite me in?â
*Please, come in!â
I stepped back, and Dilan stayed close to me, showing his affection.
As I led Jack to the living room, I noticed that Danny was no longer on the sofa
I looked around and finally stopped at the bathroom door, where I could.

Chapter 410
hear some mumbling sounds.
I knocked gently. âDanny?â
âCharlotte, Iâm taking a pee!â the little one responded and continued mumbling, sounding quite anxious.â
It seemed like many children talk to themselves when they were in the
bathroom.
I smiled and advised, âAlright, take your time and be careful not to fall.â
I went to the living room, asked Jack for his preferences, and made him a cup of coffee.
I sat down, and Dilan obediently sat beside me, rubbing his head
against my knee. âJack, Iâm really grateful. It must have been quite a trip. for you to bring Dilan over.
âItâs not troublesome.â Jack smiled warmly. âI was in Jelaston on business anyway, so it was convenient to bring Dilan along.â
I sighed. âYou always say that.â
Every time he helped me, he tried not to make me feel like I owed him.
He always found reasons like âjust happened to be passing byâ or convenientâ to explain.
Danny ran out of the bathroom and, seeing Jack, called out sweetly without waiting for me to speak, âMister!â
Jack politely responded and looked at me with confusion.
I explained, âThis is Frankâs cousinâs child. Iâm helping to take care of him.â
âFrank?â Jackâs expression froze, and he blurted out, âYouâve seen Frank? Did he come to find you?â

I was taken aback. âJack, you knew that Frank is alive?â
All this time, whether Frank was dead or alive had been only speculation between him and me.
There was no way to confirm it.
To most people, Frank was long dead.
Jackâs gaze was gentle, and he smiled. âOf course I didnât know. Iâm just surprised that heâs still alive and that youâve met him. Iâm happy for you.â
I breathed a sigh of relief. Danny, leaning on my other side, said innocently, âSir, donât you think my uncle and Charlotte are a good match?â
Jack, looking helpless, said, âWell, you should ask Charlotte about that.â
âWell, sir, are you married? If youâre single, I can introduce you to my mommy!â
I couldnât help but laugh, and Jack almost choked on his coffee, âAhem NâNot at the moment. Iâm not considering such things right now.â
âOh! Then you probably wonât consider Charlotte either.â
Danny wriggled up onto the sofa and whispered in my ear, âCharlotte, this man doesnât like you, but my uncle really likes you!â
âWell, thatâs not exactly the case,â Jack said seriously. âIf one day, Sister considers being with me, I would certainlyâ¦â
Dingâdong-
The doorbell rang.
