Chapter Sixteen

The Moon Loved Her1,644 words~9 min read

It's morning. I am still tired from the long night I spent with Killion. This was actually the first time I slept with him with both of us being sober. Thinking about how we slept last night, I probably became tomato red.

I turned around and saw Killion's sleeping face. He looked so peaceful. His closed eyes, his long eyelashes, his dark and defined eyebrows, his small nose and .... His lips.

Thinking of his lips, I remembered their softness and his fragrant breath. He was breathing slowly and deeply. I felt his breath brush my fave gently.

He was too hot to handle. I hugged him and gently stroked his hair.

A few minutes later Killion woke up and the first thing he could see was my chest. He blushed and then he clicked his tongue

*Tsk*

"Ah~ I finally because a pervert ... The wedding night was only yesterday and I already dream about her chest... I am finally getting crazy~"

"Killion~"

I said nervously.

Killion flinched and realized that he was awake. He looked at me and then he blushed so hard that he got a nosebleed.

"S-S-Silvia!"

"Good morning husband~"

Killion smiled and wiped his bloody nose.

"Good morning wife"

When we got out of the bed we had a shower and then we dressed in matching outfits. They say that when you wear matching outfits with someone, it means that you are fated.

The time has come to introduce the kids to Killion. He seems excited but I don't know how he will react.

"Silvia~ today I will meet your family right?"

"Yes!"

"Don't tell me that it the Grey duchy"

"No way!"

"Then did you find your real parents?"

"Neither"

"I am getting curious"

"Killion... Can you do me a favour?"

"Sure!"

"Please don't get to shocked... "

" Idiot... I told you that no matter what happens I will treat them as my own family."

We went out of the kids room. I was about to open the door. My nervousness touched the limits. I took a deep breath and opened the door. I grabbed Killion's wrist and we walked into the children's bedroom.

Killion was surprised and confused. The children were sleeping. I sat beside the beds and signaled Killion to come close.

He slowly came beside the beds and stared at Selene with a blank expression.

"This is your family?"

Killion said with a sad smile.

"Yes! They are my children... They are twins! This is Selene and the boy is Astro! The are already six years old..."

"Six?!"

"Yes?"

"So are they... From that time?"

"Yes..."

His expression turned bitter.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I was about to tell you the day you came here to say that you can't marry me..."

"If you told me-"

"Then what?... Would you change your mind? Killion... If you knew you would be married to me out of responsibility... I can't make a family out of responsibility!

I thought that you didn't like me so telling you could only make you feel guilty."

"Silvia... I always loved you. If I knew I would be there for you at least. Even if we didn't marry I would love you and our children the same as I would as your husband..."

"Killion... Our children are a blessing to me!... I love them a lot. I hope they become a blessing to you too."

"Silvia~ Thank you!... thank you for having my children! Thank you for loving them and taking care of them!"

Killion cried and hugged me tightly. I could sense his heart beating and his sniffling. He was like a person who finally could feel happy.

The kids woke up and looked at us with curiosity. When we noticed, we looked at eachother and nervously we broke the hug.

The kids said in a teasing manner.

"Mommy, you can hug elsewhere..."

I blushed hard and then Killion broke into laughter. Even his laughter is pretty.

Then he approached the children.

"Kids... You probably don't know who I am... But I hope you accept me as your father."

"Do we need to?"

Astro asked Killion. Killion's eyes widened as the boy who looked exactly like him asked. Killion thought that this remarkably smart child rejected him but in reality he was accepted long before the marriage.

"Astro... Do you not accept me?"

" There is no need to..."

Ahh~~~

My son is exactly like his father in terms of speaking...

Killion had a bitter expression.

"Don't worry! I will do anything to make you kids accept me!"

I think they both misunderstood something.

"Sir..."

Astro said.

"Y-Yes?"

"You misunderstood me. I don't think you need our acceptance since you are our biological father. All you have to do is keep your promise to love and take care of our mom and us."

"So you don't hate me?"

"Why would we! Firstly you are our father and you love our mother the most. Secondly you seem like a nice person that deserves happiness. Lastly, we really like you!"

Selene stated.

Killion was moved by the words of the twins and hugged them softly. The kids both smiled brightly.

I was both happy and sad. I was happy to see my children and their father finally uniting but I was sad for keeping them apart all this time.

We spent the whole day with the twins. Killion was like the happiest man alive. I was happy looking at Killion and our children. In the end I was worried for nothing.

After a long day of playing, the children fell asleep. Killion sat beside their beds and said.

"Selene looks like you and Astro like me ... How did I not notice at first sight?"

"If you look closely, both their hair are soft like yours and their lips are also like yours."

"Our children are really a blessing... Silvia thank you for giving me a family~"

"Killion... To tell you the truth I was worried... I thought that after you found out about them you would be angry... I am so relieved that you love them~"

"Silvia let's be a happy family!"

Killion smiled softly and patted my shoulder. This happy day and happy night we slept with the kids.

We are finally a united family.

...

Today is the first official day as a family. We woke up and had breakfast together.

Jonathan came and said something unexpected.

"Your graces, young master, young mistress... Someone wants to meet you..."

"Prepare the drawing room and have them wait there."

Killion had a feeling that it would not be pleasant. He narrowed his eyes.

The person behind the door of the drawing room was either pleasant or very unpleasant. I was very curious to see whether it was the one or the other.

Jonathan took the kids to their tutor and Killion and I, went to the drawing room.

We opened the well polished wooden door and saw something genuinely confusing.

The Grey family...

Asher Herion Grey was getting older. His once dark hair, now had accents of grey and wrinkles resided under his eyes.

Jace looked a lot like the duke when he was younger. Everything except the Auburn hair.

Torren seemed still young and handsome. All of them had something different though.

The thing that changed about them all those years was their attitude.

The used to look apologetic towards me for their actions. Now the seemed more determined. Like they needed something.

Asher spoke first.

"Silvia how have you been?"

"Good"

"I heard that you got married."

"I did."

"I see..."

"Why didn't you invite us to the wedding?"

"Should I have done so?"

"Of-"

"Who are you to me to deserve an invitation to my wedding?"

Asher's eyes widened and his voice trembled.

"We... We are your family..."

"Family?... don't make me laugh!"

Toren interrupted me angrily.

"Silvia no matter what kind of treatment you received back home but father at least gave you a roof over your head!"

"So what? Should I thank you?... Toren you are in no place to get angry here... You act like you did nothing wrong but actually all of you three are wrong here."

Jace asked with a stern face.

"So tell us what did we do wrong?"

"People who don't know if they did something wrong, are beyond repair..."

"So tell us because we don't know"

"Aah~~ I get it now... Okay. I will tell you.

Asher Herion Grey. You were always a silent bystander to the actions of your two sons. You sometimes acted worried to save your reputation as a cruel man but never actually cared about me. I would always ask myself why did you even adopt me... Should I keep going?"

Asher had an expression that betrayed his guilt.

Killion held my hand softly trying to soothe my heart.

"Then let's move on to Jace. You hated me a lot. Two attempted murders, spying, framing and injury against me. If I go in detail I am afraid that my husband won't be as lenient as I am."

Jace's expression darkened. Hi wiped the sweat from his forehead and neck.

I turned my gaze to Toren. He flinched when our eyes met.

"Finally Toren. Toren from the moment you saw me you abhorred my existence. You framed me for stealing, probaby badmouthed me, poured acid on milk to disfigur my legs, asked the personel to not give me food, one attempted assassination and finally injury that put me in a coma..."

Killion gritted his teeth and gave a death stare at the family of three. The three of them flinched and sweated. Killion was about to attack them when I strengthened my grasp at his hand an with my other hand I gently caressed his cheek.

"Killion don't get angry for them. They don't deserve it..."
