Chapter 24 of 28

Love is as cruel as grief

dark poetry and love poetry95 words~1 min read

As I look out at the world outside,

The days go by in monotonous tide, The loss of a loved one,

Leaves my heart so filled with doubt.

I try to look for the light in the darkened soul,

But my heart remains so empty and cold.

I wish I could hold my loved one tight,

And hear their voice say, "everything will be alright."

But they're gone and I am alone,

But even so, my heart still yearns to roam.

I long to feel their touch, And hear their voice that is so soft.
