Chapter thirty four

Lucas'POV

It had been a week since the girls went missing , a week since I last slept or eaten properly , a week since I've last  seen my daughters and it is  a nightmare .

When Angel said those few words to me , I  dropped everything I had and ran to the backstage . With every step I took my heart pounded not out of love I felt few minutes ago , but out of fear of losing my daughters . I checked in every room with my family but nothing .

We checked the cameras and saw three masked men abducting my daughters , one by one and it was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life . I watched as they struggled against the men's grip , screamed and cried in fear .

The incident happened right before Angel finished her performance , then we checked the outside cameras where we saw the men pulling them into a black van . There was no plate number on the  car that could identify and they soon sped off . We tried to locate the trail of the car's wheel but it led to nowhere . Whoever it was , they did everything so he or she wouldn't be found .

Who could have done it ?

I rest my head against the boxing bag and cry silently " Lucas ..." I heard Angel's  voice but did not move to look at her . I felt her wrap her arms around me from behind " It's going to be alright " she said resting her head on my back . I untangled my self from her and continued to punch the bag imagine it as the kidnapper .

" please that's enough " her voice laced with distress  as she placed her hand on the small of my back . I roughly shrugged it off of me . " Punching the bag won't help you Lucas " she tried again and I got  impatient " You can't keep living  like this . You need to get proper sleep , eat so you can be strong to look for your girls "

I suddenly turned to her in anger " Don't you think I know that ! " I shouty anger pouring out of me . Angel didn't flinch but held  my stare " How do you expect me to rest when my daughters are missing ? How do you expect me to eat when I don't know if they have eaten at all ! They are taken to god knows where , hurt or even worse dea- " " Don't you dare finish that sentence  , Lucas " Angel said with tears  now in her eyes .

"  Nothing will happen to them do your hear ? " She looked at me with the meanest look " Do you hear me , Lucas ?" She asked once again . My jaw ticked  at her rising tone but I nod nonetheless .

Angel sighed in exhaustion  and wipes my tears " The girls need you . I need you " she said looking straight at me in the eyes  I pull her into a hug " I'm sorry " I mumbled against her hair " I know " she whispered . Her being by my side  right now gave  me strength to still continue to look for my daughters. I grabbed  her with my heart in my throat and the words on the tip of my tongue I say the three words " I love you" her brown eyes widened

"And I know it's not the right time , the girls are still missing but I had to tell , you are one of the best things that happened in my life , and I -" Angel cut me off my grabbing my face and kiss me which made me stumble back by the sudden force .

She kissed me like there was no tomorrow as she held me close to her . After a while , she finally pulled back and placed her head against mine " I love you too " she said my heart picked up its pace and I smile at her . I'm sure I look like a goof right now but I didn't care . She love me back and I know for sure she does her actions says it all .

On the ninth day , Angel and I crammed  ourselves over our computers to search more for the girls . We had professional trackers that are currently so , but that doesn't mean that we will sit down and wait and do nothing .

My phone dinged with a message I check and see it's from a anonymous contact my hands start to tremble when pictures of daughters appear . They were both sitting on a couch dressed in different clothing from the last time I've seen them both in expensive looking dresses Halo was  smiling brightly at the camera while Heaven was on the verge of crying . I frowned .

What's going on ?

" Lucas ?"  Angel called me  I wordlessly placed my phone  on the desk Angel slowly takes it and gasps at the sight " They are alright " she breathed in relief then she goes silent again " They sent a message " I turned to her and grabbed the phone

If you want the girls come alone .

Then the is an address attached to it , it is the next town over from here . All this time we were looking everywhere but there they were so close .

" Am I coming with you ? " Angel asked in a gentle tone " Ofcourse . You deserve to be there as much as I do "

So within an hour we were already in the  town . After few minutes Angel and I finally pull over at the address .

Ofcourse  we didn't come alone ,  cars with my men from the Mafia are park all over the street . The address brought  us to a simple two stories building a normal looking building . We load our guns then step out we headed to the door and knocked , few seconds later a bald man opens the door he looks at me then at Angel

" I thought we told you to come alone " he said in a threatening tone I looked at him straight in the eye " A little reminder  ," I growled and take a step forward "I don't take orders from people it's the other way around " my jaw ticked . I am this close to shoot him straight in the head .

After a while of us sizing each other he finally broke the stare and stepped aside . He lead us in a empty dark room with a light only coming from a single lightbulb dangling from the ceiling  in the middle of the room is a single desk and chair . The man turned around and wordlessly walk out leaving the two of us in the empty room .

" Stay behind me " I said to Angel who is breathing at an unsteady pace and  gripped my gun on my waist.  s

Suddenly , sounds of footsteps  trailed against the floor the more it approached the more I realised it was from a lady then she finally appeared  under the light I stared at her in disbelief " Aurora ?"
