The Lifelong Death951 words~5 min read

Above is a picture of the bazaar outside the mansion.

I slowly, very slowly went outside. I didn't make a single sound, I ran away like a thief.

Good bye Amir, actually Amir Mirza since you prefer being called by your full name.

Little did I know how much I would regret this decision. Why am I such an idiot?

{ ALIZEH'S POV }

I ran away.

Everything was so unknown. I was a complete stranger here, even if I spoke the same language or looked pretty much indian.

I walked outside the huge mansion I was stuck in.

It was so pretty. Almost like the house everyone dreams of. The house billionaires would live in. If I wasn't brought here this mansion would be definitely be my dream palace, but right now I would never ever want to return back here.

As I exitted the huge mansion, I saw a huge bazaar.  No one would ever think the environment outside the mansion was like this.

It was like a fish market, the crowd was almost unbearable, like a din and bustle.

People moved up and down the market, making all sorts of purchases.

People were bargaining for vegetables and fruits, like crazy. I heard a lady buy lemons of 70 rupees for 30 rupees.

It was funny how bargaining worked in Southern Asia. Everything to buy could be bargained with.

The transportation system was weird. Cars, motorcycles, rickshaws, scooters, taxies and people walked on the same path. Cars wouldn't stop for pedestrians, it was quite the opposite. Pedestrians would wait for cars to go by.

There were small food stalls, where different types of food were being sold. From samosas to mithai(sweets) to spices everything was available. It was indeed a different and a unique experience to gain.

Sorry for so much pictures, I just felt like she finally came out of a dark room, now we need some color 😉

I saw a signboard near the bus station that said something in hindi and also said something in urdu.

Reading urdu wasn't very hard for me as I could read arabic and I knew urdu alphabets too.

The signboard said " ‎حضرت گنج " which I think said "Hazratganj". I realized this area was called Hazratganj.

I finally exited the crowded bazaar as I saw a shop that was called "Lucknow sweets". So I was in Lucknow.

I roamed around asking people for a way to Mumbai. I knew that in that city, I could easily find a way back to Dubai, as my father came to Mumbai very often and we also had relatives there.

I saw a very colorful bus, that said it went from Lucknow to Delhi. Delhi too was like a place that would be easy to find a way back to Dubai.

I had no money so I had to sneak out.

Oh God, I didn't know it would be this hard to run away.

It was sunset now. I heard the Maghrib Adhaan  and I put my scarf on my head. I could see men walking to mosques.

The city was beautiful.

The bus would leave at 7:30pm and it was only 6:40pm. So, I decided to sit and wait.

I sat on a brown bench. There were lots of people waiting for the bus to come. I had to sneak in with one of them.

It was 7:33pm now. The bus didn't open its gates yet. Why did I expect them to be punctual? I guess I'd have to wait.

As the gates finally opened, I started walking towards the bus. When I was about to step in to the bus, a hand pulled me.

I said to leave my hand thinking it was Amir. He had to come like always.

Until, I looked around realizing it wasn't Amir. It was a guy who looked like a gangster, with three other gangster men in motorcycles behind him.

Oh my Allah!

They wore black sleveless long shirts with ripped jeans. They had black sunglasses that they wore despite it being night time. Their shirts literally came down to their chests, while they wore a necklace on top and had an earring on one ear. They had three to four bracelets too on one hand each.

They seemed like the typical indian gangster.

"Please leave me", I said as I tried my best to take my hand out of his grip.

"English? Baby why hurry? Have fun with...us", he said giving me a sinister smile. They all looked at me like I was the only women they had ever seen in their lives.

"Dekho mujhe chordo please maine kya bigara?", I said as I felt shivers run down my spine while I looked down as I was too scared to look at them.

Translation: Please leave me, what have I done to you.

The one who grabbed my wrist pushed me into the ground, while they circled around me in their motorcycles.

One of them held my scarfs trying to pull it from me. I held it as hard as I could but they snatched it from me.

Tears fell on my cheek as I was scared, scared as hell.

Why did I ever run away?

They started singing cheap songs. Songs that would translate to "Let's reach the height of shamelessness tonight". I was disgusted.

Tears blurred my vision, I could only see them circling around me and whistling. Looking at me with the dirtiest of intentions.

Oh Allah, save me!
