Chapter 3: The Alphas Meet

Ace “Alpha.” April said as she walked up to me. “The ambush team caught one of the Dark Knight’s members.”

“Already?” I asked impressed as April gave me a smirk and nodded. “Nicely done. Who is it?”

“Their Beta.”

I smirked and then faced Zylen and Colby. “Zylen and I will go talk. Colby you need to go help them. Once the alpha finds out that his Beta has been captured, he’s gonna go insane.”

“On it.” Colby mumbled as she shifted and ran off with April.

“Let’s go.” I said as I nodded my head in the direction of the cellar.

The run to the cellar didn’t take very long and we tried to ignore the growls coming from the other pack.

“Alpha. I injected him so he can’t communicate with his pack.” Our pack doctor, Arnie, stated.

I nodded and walked past Arnie and down into the cellar.

“D-do you smell that?” Zylen asked confused.

“Smell what?” I asked as we got closer to the Beta’s cell.

“I-I don’t know.” Zylen said sniffing the air. “I smell-”

“Mate!” A blonde haired guy yelled.

“Well shit.” Zylen mumbled. “This got a lot more complicated.”

“Mine!” Blondie yelled as he tried to reach for Zylen.

He hissed in pain as he hand made contact with the silver bars.

“Don’t touch those. They are made out of silver.” I warned.

Blondie chuckled. “Alpha Ace of the Luna Pack. Pleasure meeting you.”

I scoffed as I crossed my arms. “What pleasure? You guys are trying to take over my pack.”

Blondie froze and looked up at Zylen.

Zylen growled and looked away from him.

“Well I would mindlink Deacon and tell him about finding my mate here, but someone injected me with something.” Blondie growled. “What is it anyway?”

“Wolfsbane.” Zylen said harshly.

Blondie’s eyes went wide. “Why the hell would you do that?”

“Calm down.” Zyeln growled. “It’s not going to harm you. It’s just a small enough dosage to make you not shift and also so you can’t use the mindlink.”

Blondie sighed. “Well. I guess I should introduce myself. I’m Gabriel. Beta of the Dark Knight Pack.”

“I’m Zylen. Beta of the Luna Pack that you guys are trying to kill!” Zylen yelled as she clenched her fists.

Gabriel flinched and sunk down to the ground. “I’m sorry.”

“You better fucking be.” Zylen said as she crossed her arms.

‘Alpha Deacon is coming your way!’ Colby yelled. ‘He found out you captured his Beta!’

“Zylen we have to go!” I yelled as I faced her. “He’s on his way here.”

“Come on then. I can deal with him later.” Zylen said as she grabbed my hand.

Once we got out of the cellar, we both shifted into our wolves and headed face on to Deacon.

‘Everyone ready?’ I asked as I pushed my wolf farther.

I heard growls in the distance and I knew my pack was ready to defend their land.

Nothing makes me prouder.

As I was coming up to the other pack, I smelt something wonderful.

Forest trees, oranges, and something else that I couldn’t put my finger on.

I shrugged and pushed the smell to the back of my mind.

I heard a growl and I knew that it belong to Deacon.

‘He’s going down!’ Zylen growled as she pushed her wolf farther as well.

I watched amazed as a giant white with a silver sun above its left eye jumped at me while baring his teeth.

I growled and lunged for him as well.

Right before we were about to touch, I stared him in the eye.

The white wolf’s eyes went wide and dodged so he wouldn’t hit me.

‘Mate.’ Ava whispered as I landed on the ground, not facing the white wolf. ‘Alpha Deacon is my mate.’

‘Oh no.’ I whispered as I slowly turned around to face him.

‘Ace?’ Zylen asked through the link. ‘What’s going on?’

The white wolf shifted and in its spot stood a naked Deacon.

I quickly looked away and I heard some shuffling.

“You?” Deacon asked shocked.

I took that as sign to look at him.

I mentally prayed that he had shorts on.

“Y-you’re my mate.” Deacon said in a whisper.

The members of both packs who didn’t shift, stood there and gasped.

I turned around and jogged to a tree.

After I shifted back, I took some time putting my clothes on.

‘What are we going to do?’ I asked Ava.

‘I-I don’t know. He’s mean Ace. We can’t be mates with him! He was going to take our pack out!’ Ava yelled.

And right there, I got mad all over again.

I growled and stalked my way back to him with my fists clenched.

“Mate.” He smiled as I walked up to him.

I growled and slammed my fist into his face.

His members growled as he fell to the ground holding his nose.

One of his members ran at me, but Zylen tackled him to the ground and growled in his face.

“I’m going to pretend that didn’t happen little mate.” Deacon said calmly as he stood back up. “I will give you a chance to apologize.”

“Fuck off. How’s that for an apology?” I growled.

Deacon’s eyes turned black and he stepped forward so he was right in front of me.

He bent down to my eye level and narrowed his eyes at me.

“Is that anyway to talk to your mate?” He asked with a slight growl.

“It is when you tried to wipe out my pack!” I growled as I slammed my fist into his gut.

Deacon let out an and he bent over and grabbed his stomach.

‘I’ll let you handle this.’ Zylen said as she trotted up to me. ‘I need to go talk to my mate.’

I nodded. “Go talk to him. And you can let him out.”

“Ya.” Deacon huffed as he stood back up straight. “Let my Beta out.”

“That’s what I’m fucking doing.” I said as I turned around.

I gasped as I felt sparks on my wrist and my body being pulled back into a hard wall.

“Let the alpha go!” Mike yelled.

He and his twin brother got into a fighting stance.

“She’s my mate pup.” Deacon growled.

“Don’t talk like that to my pack.” I spat as I elbowed his gut.

Once I got released, I spun around and drove my foot into his thigh which caused him to fall.

“That’s it.” Deacon growled as he jumped up.

I let out a yelp as he pulled me into him and wrapped his arms around me.

I growled as I struggled to get out of his grasp.

‘This little fucker is strong.’ Ava yelled.

“Let me go.” I mumbled into his chest.

Damn does he smell good.

“Are you going to stop hitting me?” Deacon asked.

“Maybe.” I said truthfully.

“Mate.” Deacon said in a warning tone.

“Fine. I’ll stop.” I huffed.

Deacon slowly let me go and I pushed him away from me.

“Don’t touch me again.” I growled.

Deacon narrowed his eyes at me and crossed his arms over his chest.

Shit. Those muscles.

“You’re my mate. I’m allowed to touch you.” Deacon said in a ‘duh tone’.

“Well maybe you should have thought about that before trying to attack my pack!” I yelled as I threw my hands up in the air. “Let’s go. You guys are getting off my land.”

I ignored Deacon and walked with my members to the border line.

“Come on guys.” I heard Deacon mumble as he followed us.

The walk was really awkward.

My fighters kept a close eye on his fighters.

Anyone who got too close to me, my members would growl at them and tell them to back up.

We finally showed up to the line about an hour later.

“Leave.” I mumbled as I refused to look at Deacon.

The thought of your own mate trying to wipe out your pack hurts.

“Wait.” Deacon said once he crossed the line. “What is your name?”

“Ace. Alpha Ace.” I said standing tall and proud.

“We will need to talk about this Ace.” Deacon said.

I nodded. “I know. But not right now. I’m still trying to get over the fact that my mate is a ruthless alpha.”

Deacon narrowed his eyes at me. “It’s how you stay incharge.”

I scoffed but got cut off when Zylen walked over to us with Gabriel.

“He’s all yours.” Zyeln said as she refused to look at Gabriel.

Gabriel sighed and walked over to his territory.

“I’m impressed. You managed to catch my Beta.” Deacon smirked.

I matched his smirk. “Girl’s rule.”

“But if you capture anymore of my men, there’s gonna be problems.” Deacon said with a straight and serious face.

“Did he just threaten you?” Zylen asked.

‘Let me at him!’ Ava yelled.

I growled and walked up to him.

Everyone seemed shocked that I crossed the border line and I would be too but I’m too busy being pissed off at the moment.

“If you fucking hit me, we will have problems.” I promised as I stared him in the eye.

It kinda sucks that he’s like a whole foot taller than I am, but I still will beat his ass if he lays a hand on me.

Deacon laughed and bent down so his mouth was right next to my ear. “I admire your boldness for crossing the territory line like that. But that wasn’t what I was talking about. If you’re thinking that I would hit you, you are badly mistaken. I may be a ruthless and evil alpha, but I would never hurt you. The punishment would be a different form of punishment.”

I gulped and stepped back to see his stupid smirk and his once bright silver eyes to be a raging storm of gray.

“Whatever.” I mumbled as I looked away from him.

Dammit. Don’t blush Ace. Don’t blush.

“Um Ace we got a problem.” Colby said not looking at me.

“Great? What else could be a problem?” I growled as I saw Deacon staring me down.

“Um. Maybe the fact that I found my mate.” Colby gulped as she pointed to their Third.

Wait. What did she just say?

I looked over at him and he was staring dreamily at Colby.

Great. I’m mates with their alpha, my Beta is mates with their Beta, and my Third is mates with their Third.

What could possibly go wrong?
