The ground shook over me. My eyes ripped open as shouting came from upstairs. Screeching and crying came, and muffled sounds. Satsu slid open my door with a loud thrash.
"Eyra!" He called. "Something's going on, I'm not sure what. But let's go." He shouted. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out and ran upstairs. There was smoke everywhere. Everyone cried, some spirits couldn't stop coughing as they waved the smoke away. Satsu plugged his nose; I held my sleeve against my face. We quickly zipped past the crowed until we heard a sudden burst of laughter coming from the opening of the hall.
"Ah yes, such thrill!" A voice called out from the distance. Satsu and I turned around. It was Doctor Komo.
"What of all the spirits are you doing?" Called out a guard, pulling doctor Komo up from his hind legs. "You fool! What have you done? Utma and her children are upstairs!" He cried. Doctor Komo chuckled madly, he clenched on his staff. The staff was thin, yet beads stuck on the very top. He shook his staff at the guard, and his skin turned into a sickly shade of purple. He was not using the potion for useful purposes at all, he was meaning to make everyone of the spirits sick. He was from the dark underworld. Satsu told me and whispered in my ear to not move nor make a sound. We stood still as stone. How did Utma even trust him in the first place? Yet It was our duty to clean up her mistakes.
Utma ran into the scene, she had looked beyond angry. She was going to have vengeance.
"Doctor Komo!" She yelled, " I trusted you evil fiend of the underworld. You are a senseless creature. No wonder my mother intended to look disgusted as you mistreated her." Utma grabbed hold of a long string of stone beads, and threw it out to her left. She ordered multiple guards to come forth. They had all surrounded doctor Komo. They looked down at him. There was a long decisive silence that went around the room. Doctor Komos eyes looked around, and then he laughed. "You fool! You're the ones who have given me the potion. And you trusted me. Silly beings." He chuckled, and took hold of his staff and rammed it into a belly of a guard. He fell over as doctor Komo jumped on top of him and ran down the hall. His scampering of his claws was heard.
"Get them you idiots." Utmas tone of voice nearly turned into a growl. She started to become more insane. Madness came from her. "And get me my potion back and the remains."
Everyone ran for him. Shouts and cries came forth, yet he was powerful enough to wipe out the first row of the army of guards and then workers. Utma sighed. She had become overly distressed.
"First I trusted a witch doctor from the underworld, and now I have news that your father is visiting. Such joy." Utma said in a sarcastic manner as she walked over to Satsu and along with me. She scowled from how stressed she was being.
"The two of you can go do whatever. I'm done for the evening." Utma walked upstairs as the whole bottom floor was in destruction. Satsu looked at her from behind at how selfish Utma was being.
"You can't just leave this whole floor in destruction!" Satsu called out to her in the loudest voice that had ever came out of his lungs, yet she still ignored him. It was up to Satsu and me now.
Satsu cursed under his breath and took my hand. "Let's go." He said, and we ran towards the front entrance. Doctor Komo was already leaving and had almost ran away completely. Most of the workers were shot down. Some guards still stood, taking breaths each time they dove for cover. Satsus anger rose from him. His hair waved in the air as he was turning into something.
"Satsu?" I looked over. He was in transformation.
His eyes pointed the side. Glowing light surrounded him. He started to growl, and hiss loudly. His roar echoed and went through everyone in vibration. Colors wavered in the air as he grew and shape shifted into his form.
"Say something Eyra! You seem to help me. Now say something!" He roared again. My legs started to shake. Unknowing on what to do, I had started to feel fearful, and frightened.
"Like what?!" I exclaimed. My legs started to vibrate in place.
"Anything! Just something!" He yelled. "My sense of spirit seems to love your intentions within you!"
I started to chant words. First I said "Satsu Satsu." Finally I came up with words to chant.
" Satsu Satsu you little dragon boy,
Silly and brave, yet came into the world as a spirit.
Sadness, shameless, you helpless boy,
Self conscious, worried, about you brings no joy.
Be happy dragon boy!
For you will meet someone-
Far more greater
Than I."
After I chanted those words, Satsu had turned into a long bodied creature. He had a snout, violent blue eyes, and he had the lightest shade of fur. His ears were wide and square. Tentacles came from his sides, not slimy, but furry. He also had paws, and his claws had clenched into the wooden flooring.
"I'm not a dragon, but I do like them and I am similar to a dragon. I am something far more than a spirit, I am something more than a spirit, yet I am one." Satsus dark voice roared, and said in a deep monotonous voice.
"It cannot be." Doctor Komo cried. "How is there a higher power of a spirit under this house?" He stuttered, and walked backwards causing him to trip over himself.
I clenched on the side of Satsu, and walked him over towards doctor Komo. My eyes turned dark, and I crouched down towards him as if I were a hidden dragon myself.
"You should leave. Put down your staff, and go away and never come back. Let me have your staff for I believe that you don't deserve it." I leaned in on him as Satsu walked behind him, and his tail wrapped around doctor Komos neck.
"We will kill you. That is a promise."
Doctor Komo whimpered, and the staff fell from his grasp. Satsus opened his mouth and leaned into his neck.
"N-no please no! I must keep my powers!" He cried. Yet Satsu still went in, his teeth winked into his neck. Venom spewed from doctor Komos skin and into Satsus teeth. Bit by bit Satsu sucked out the powerful venom inside doctor Komo and spit it out. It was a dark deep violet color, and each time it spewed out of Satsus mouth, it would seep right through the flooring causing it to burn, ruining the interior.
Soon doctor Komo looked lifeless. His scales and skin was pale, he had shriveled. Wrinkles under his eyes had become fat, and his hair was completely white. Satsu lifted me with his paw, and his whiskers picked up doctor Komo and we flew through the sky, and threw him into the darkest deepest pit we could have ever found outside in the lands of the spirit world. One I had come back the staff had been laying on the ground, untouched. First Satsus nose sniffed the staff, quietly examining it. Dark forces of power had been trapped. Satsu leaned in, and breathed out aura. A cloud of aura went within the staff, and pursuing the dark power and replacing it with its own. I withheld Doctor Komos staff. After a moment of silence, I looked over at Satsu with reassurance. He nodded at me as I held the staff in my hands. Satsu seemed to have known more about the spirits power of the staff than I had. The workers surrounded us. They looked at Satsu in awe, and at me with appreciation. One man started to clap. Slowly a crowd of workers applauded, all around us. I looked over at Satsu, his face was emotionless. He was finally feeling good for himself, as I had felt the same.
