"BONNIE BENNET WHAT have you got up your witchy sleeve?" The blue eyed Salvatore asked dubiously as he swatted a branch away.

The teenage witch sent him a glare, making sure to wave her hand and make the branch Damon had just avoided slap his face.

"OK. Not cool, BonBon."

"Will you just shut up?" Bonnie spat, exasperated beyond imagineable. She quickly trudged through thick ferns and spotted the waterfall.

"Did you bring me here to kill me? Because let me tell you sister, you ain't getting a piece of this," He gestured to his leather clad self, "anytime soon."

Instead of retaliating with a quip of her own, Bonnie picked up a stick and made way for the base of the waterfall.

She was ankle deep in the water before Damon flashed in front of her. "Woah, Bonnie. You need to communicate, preferably by words. Now let me ask you one more time, what the hell are you doing?"

She rolled her coffee brown eyes and sighed. "Just look," She pointed the stick to the water.

Heeding her advice, Damon spun around sassily, hands on hips before his semi-pissed expression changed to one of bewilderment.

As if appearing out of thin air, a young woman with tangled brown hair was floating serenely in the lake. It looked like she was sunbathing or maybe swimming, save for one tiny exception.

She was unconscious. Very unconscious.

"Is she even breathing?" A dumbfounded Damon Salvatore said, as he started to wade in the lake to hoist the strange woman out.

"The witches brought me here," Bonnie mused, looking around the waterfall thoughtfully. "They said she was important."

"This lady?" Damon grunted, lifting the woman and her navy blue skirts up bridal style.

Bonnie noded, "I have a feeling she can help us defeat Klaus."

Impressed, Damon cocked his head and followed Bonnie. They walked in silence and concentration, at least for the witch.

"Are you sure she's not dead?"

Lilura Anthemoessa hated hangovers.

Granted this current hell she was experiencing wasn't a result of extreme alcohol consumption and excess partying. No, it was something else, and it hurt like a bïtch.

She groaned loudly, shifting from her back to her side. Her eyelids were clamped shut but her ears picked up three distinct voices twittering near.

"Just look at that! Look at that face. Tell me brother, don't you think it's the prettiest thing you've ever seen?"

Another male scoffed. "Is that all you can think of right now? She's in pain and not to mention, very dangerous. We hardly know anything about her."

"Wow. So she's not in the slightest bit attractive to you? I mean -"

"Damon shush! She's waking up!"

Lilura groaned again, finally opening her pretty eyes. She was met by a cell filled with dust and sand. Quickly, she stood up, giving herself whiplash and maybe vertigo in the process.

"What?" She mumbled, eventually setting her big eyes onto the trio outside of the cell door.

"What the hell?" Lilura squinted. Without warning, she sped to the cell bars, jump scaring the only human in the basement.

There were three of them, standing straight and stiff like Lilura had just burned down their house and ran over their puppy. The two men were clearly vampires and brothers. Although they had contrasting hair colors, they had identical expressions. Hard and suspicious.

When Lilura had advanced, the blond one pushed the human girl behind him and the raven haired one glared at her.

Lilura almost giggled at how stupid they looked. However, her giggling ceased and her smirk grew when she spotted the human girl peeking from behind his shoulder with familiar brown eyes.

She cocked her head to the side, thick black hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall. "I would say Katherine, but she's always had more of a backbone," She said sweetly, honey oozing from just her words. "Which one are you, doppleganger?"

"Elena Gilbert."

"Elena," Lilura repeated, nodding thoughtfully. Her eyes sparkled in green mischief.

"Cute," She laughed, intimidating Elena Gilbert with just one word.

Swinging her piercing gaze to the brooding Salvatore, Lilura's eyebrows rose, "Oh, and cute."

Stefan Salvatore seemed tongue tied. Elena had to hit his arm for him to finally say something. "Thanks?" He smiled weakly, glancing at Damon for help.

"Hello. May I just say you are a dazzling number of a woman," Damon Salvatore grinned, a feat that blurred the lines between animal and charming.

Lilura smirked. To those who didn't know her, they would assume she smiling because of the flattering compliment. However, that didn't matter in the slightest to Lilura Anthemoessa. In fact, she was satisfied purely because the raven-haired vampire had given her an insightful glimpse to his personality, which was a mixture of tremendous egocentrism and insecure gullibility.

"Hello handsome," She replied, winking suggestively. The magic enlaced in Lilura's words flared straight into Damon Salvatore's ear and transfixed his mind. Like a snake and it's charmer, Damon Salvatore's eyes glazed over, and he uncharacteristically closed his mouth. As if in a daze, he continued to stare at the mysterious woman in front of him.

"Who are you?" Elena blurted, hot eyes flashing from Damon to Lilura and then Stefan. She seemed to be the only one in a dark mood, and in her mind, the only sensible one in this situation.

"I'm a little cold," Lilura grinned, expertly evading the question and running her hands up and down her arms in an attempt to convince her captors.

"I would really like if we continue this interrogation someplace cozier."

The last statement was directed toward Stefan Salvatore, who had not quite recovered from Lilura's comment on his "cuteness". He made the mistake of catching her alluring blue-green eyes and suddenly the Salvatore could not grasp his bearings.

"Why don't you release me?" said Lilura.

Elena opened her mouth to deny the strangely enchanting woman, but Stefan beat her to the punch.

"Of course!" The blond Salvatore exclaimed, yanking open the cell door and smiling proudly at Lilura like he had just found the cure to cancer. His brown gaze never wavered from her face.

"Thank you."

As soon as her alluring gaze had diverted from Damon and Stefan Salvatore, the brothers snapped out of whatever it was they were in and began to confusedly lead the way.

Lilura did not miss the questioning gaze Elena sent her. The doppleganger seemed to want to throw Lilura back in the cell as well, so to prevent aggravating her further, the enchantress grinned and answered her unspoke question. "Don't stare at me so sourly, doppelgänger. I have a gift."

"Gift?" Elena Gilbert scrunched her nose, confusion as clear as day.

"Ooh," Lilura cooed, "so impatient!"

She was brought to a kitschy little living room. In the middle, a grand fire place blazed its warmth. She fanned her navy hue skirts and sighed in happiness. "I could do with some wine," She offhandedly commented, flopping down on the couch in a flurry of thin silks and red cushions.

Immediately, Damon Salvatore went to the cupboard and brought out his best red wine. Elena stared on in disbelief as Stefan blinked.

"Um," Lilura chuckled as Damon handed her the drink. "I wasn't serious, but alright."

She dainty sipped the glass. After an eternity, at least to the three, the enigma turned to them and rolled her eyes. "Ask away."

"Who and what are you?"

"What do you mean? I'm just a charming small-town girl who loves to —"

"You know what he means," Elena Gilbert interjected. "My name is Elena Gilbert. That's my boyfriend Stefan and his brother Damon."

She stared at them in mild distaste. "My name is Lilura Anthemoessa."

"Ok. Lilura," Stefan tested the peculiar name. "Back there in the - uh - cellar. What did you do to me?"

In the living room, he felt a little less suffocated now that Lilura's attention was on something else.

He felt that those eyes and that smile had been the death of many, simply because one became breathless in the presence of someone like Lilura Anthemoessa. It was also something else, something a little bit more sinister, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Lilura grinned, like she had somehow heard his thoughts. "Doppleganger," She adressed suddenly. "Do you have any witch friends?"

"Yes, Bonnie Bennett. She's the one that found you."

At this new piece of information Lilura jerked up from her relaxed lounge. "Oh?"

"She found you in the lake, the one with the waterfall," Elena studied Lilura carefully.

"Yes, Elena. Although I've never lived in Mystic Falls, I would know exactly which bloody lake you're talking about," The woman deadpanned.

Damon Salvatore held back a snort, "She's got a point."

"Well, I think you should be asking her before you ask me," Lilura redirected her answer to Stefan. " She should know more about this power thing, seeing as her kind gave it to me."

"Katherine," Stefan Salvatore pressed, evergreen eyes narrowing. "You mentioned her."

Lilura retched at the name. "Sorry, her aura was clogging my throat," She coughed, placing the small glass of wine on the coffee table.

"I take it you don't really like her," The blue eyed Salvatore piped up.

"No I don't," Lilura crossed her arms and returned to leaning comfortably on the red couch. "I love her."

At the statement, Elena Gilbert paled and gripped her boyfriend's arm.

"How do you know her?" Stefan pressed, wrapping his arm around Elena.

"Aw, so loving," Lilura sighed, dreamily. It was hard to tell if she was mocking them or not, so Stefan and Elena refrianed from commenting. Damon, however, was liking the woman more and more by the minute.

Stefan's frown and forehead lines were more prominent than Lilura's eyelashes, and that was a lot mind you, but before he could start pelting Lilura with more questions the girl decided to answer one question bluntly. "We met when she tried to seduce my husband and my brother-in-law."

"We have so much in common," Damon flashed her a quick smirk.

"Mhmm, no we don't."

"Do you know anything about the sun and moon curse?" Elena intervened, cutting off the flirting/argument brewing between both immortal beings.

"It's Aztec," She offered, biting her lips to keep from grinning at Elena's bubbling frusteration. "Did a paper on it - waste of time to be honest."

"No, you know more. Please, just cooperate, Lilura. It's been a long day for all of us," Stefan rubbed his face, patience gradually thinning like his voice.

"Fine," The enchantress pouted. "The sun and moon curse is none of your godamn business."

"And whose business is it?" Damon Salvatore pointed out sharply, smirk just as condecending.

"Now you're asking the right questions."

The blue eyed Salvatore lapped up the comment like a thirsty dog and grinned again, "Is it Elijah's?"

When Lilura's careful mask of indifference slipped, Damon knew he had hit a nerve.

"Klaus', the originals'?" He egged on, relishing in the swift moment Lilura portrayed shock.

But just as quickly as it came, her smirk had returned. "Good deducation skills," She shifted on the couch. "The sun and moon curse is of Aztec origin and concerns the Originals, in particular, Klaus Mikaelson. It is broken when there is a werewolf, vampire, and witch. Once in a few humdred years, a doppleganger pops up. Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for years."

"Why?" Damon continued. "Why not use daylight rings?"

"Well, it was great while it lasted," Lilura shrugged, getting up and fluffing the pillows.

"Wait! Where are you going?" The doppleganger yelled.

"Since we're back to the stupid questions, I'm going to go to bed." Lilura flashed her big eyes to Damon and fluttered them. "I'm taking your room."

"If you wanted to sleep with me, all you had to do was ask," Damon replied.

"No. I'm literally taking your room. I like beds that are broken in, and I reckon you have a bottle of bourbon stashed under the sheets."

When Damon Salvatore did not answer, Lilura took it as a yes and flounced up the stairs.

"Have fun sleeping with Stefan!"
