"YOU HAVE A VISITOR."
Klaus eyed the cup and flexed his fingers. "Well, tell my visitor I'm on the brink of victory here."
Mindy, the hybrid, seemed uncharacteristically nervous, "He said his name is Mikael."
Klaus took his shot, ping pong bouncing off the beer pong table. He pouted, "Then we mustn't keep him waiting. Move everyone out back. I'm gonna have a little chat with my dad. Tony, you know what to do," He stopped in his tracks. "Where's Li?"
No one answered.
Suddenly, with a sense of great foreboding, the Original Hybrid power walked and yanked open the door to look for Lilura.
"I'll be back in a Jiffy," She had said.
Klaus realized too late what that meant. Someone could have snatched her in the darkness of the night, where Klaus had no control of her saftey. He cursed, hoping her lack of anger management skills would kill whoever tried to kidnap her.
Klaus pulled the Lockwood mansion door open, hoping to see the Siren. However, instead of Lilura's lovely face, a nightmare greeted him.
"Hello, Niklaus."
Mikael had always been a foul sort of man, and Klaus meant that wholeheartedly with the least bit of prejudice.
You see, Mikael was the kind of baleful creature used to scare children to sleep. He was the man that hid behind shadows, never too far away but never too close.
The Black Plague, Klaus mused. How fitting.
That wasn't to omit the fact he also preyed on the weak- including Niklaus and his mother, but the Hybrid wasn't so ready to talk about that.
Despite his fear, Klaus grinned and extended his arms in welcome, as if to beckon an old friend in for a hug. "Hello, Mikael. Why don't you come in? Oh, that's right. I forgot you can't."
Mikael wasn't amused. "Or you can come outside if you want."
"Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb."
"They can't kill me," said Mikael, sweeping his gaze to all the Hybrids.
"True," Klaus shrugged, "But it'll make a hell of a party game. All I have to do is rub these two fingers together and they'll pounce."
Mikael shook his head and laughed dryly. He clapped, almost as if the entire situation amused him to no end. "The big bad wolf. You haven't changed."
Klaus sneered at the mockery.
"Still hiding behind your playthings like a coward. You only forget. They may be sired by you, but they're still part vampire. And they can be compelled by me."
"Besides," Mikael grinned, feral features highlighted by the moon. "I think you won't be too quick to bite the bullet, considering what I have."
Lilura was carried out by a confused Tony. The young Hybrid was trying with all his might to resist the compulsion - but alas, he was half vampire, and the uncontrollable urge to do as Mikael said triumphed all.
From the other side, a struggling Elena was brought out as well.
"Come out and face me, Niklaus. Or they die."
Klaus felt his heart stop at Lilura's unconscious form. He looked at Elena and then Lilura. "Go ahead," He said. "Kill the doppelganger."
Mikael chuckled, "I thought so." He accepted Lilura from Tony and propped her head gently on his shoulder. "It seems you have the same taste as I do, son."
Klaus started to feel his fangs breaking out from his gums, but he held back his emotions. Just Mikael's hands on Lilura made him want to rip out Mikael's organs and fling them into the forest for the wolves to devour.
"It's such a shame that she must die by your hands," Mikael said. "Again. When will you ever be of use?"
Klaus suppressed the urge to kill Mikael slowly and painfully. His father couldn't know that Lilura was the very thing that could bring him to his knees. He had to be phlegmatic. Mimcking Lilura's perpetual face of disinterest Klaus said, "She can go."
This sparked a flame of interest in Mikael. "If Elena dies, this lot will be the last of your abominations," Mikael gestured to the doppelganger. "If the siren dies, you'll lose your pretty bedmate."
"Don't call her that," Klaus growled.
"I see. And your army?"
"I don't need them. I just need to be rid of you," Klaus seethed.
"To what end, Niklaus? So you can live forever, with no one at your side? Nobody cares about you anymore, boy! What do you have other than those whose loyalty you forced? No one. No one."
Klaus was unsure if it was the looming pressure of the issue at hand or Mikael's bright and violent smile that made his eyes burn. "I'm calling your bluff, father. Kill them."
Mikael shook his head. "Come outside and face me, you little coward. And I won't have to."
"My whole life you've underestimated me. If you kill Elena you lose a supernatural occurrence. If you kill Lilura you lose your leverage. So go ahead. Go on. Kill them. Come on, old man. Kill them. Kill them!!!"
Mikael laughed, "Your impulse, Niklaus. It has and will forever be the one thing that keeps you from truly being great."
Then, Mikael stabbed Elena.
The entire house was silent until someone cleared their throat shrilly.
"Ahem. Not to be rude or anything, but you smell like cow shït," The enchantress, who moments before had been unconscious, yawned and patted Mikael's shoulder good-naturedly, eyes practically a sea of mirth. "Also, surprise!"
And with those words, all hell broke loose.
Lilura jumped out of Mikael's reach and began going toe to toe with him, having knicked one of his swords and was fencing and twirling like a ballerina.
Nearby, Elena also made a miraculous recovery. Mikael took a double-take as he realized who it was.
"Katherine..." He gaped.
The elusive entity threw two wolfsbane grenades. "Kaboom," She smirked.
Lilura took this moment of preoccupation as her chance and rammed the sword deep into Mikael's stomach. At the exact same moment, Klaus entered the battle with his own weapon and fire eyes, staking Mikael precisely in the heart with the white oak stake.
As the original hunter burned, Lilura realized that inferno destruction had never looked so beautiful.
"What the hell did you do?" roared Damon, throwing his hands up and glaring hotly at his brother. Lilura turned around to stare at the Salvatore brothers whom she noticed for the first time.
Klaus helped Lilura up. To Damon, he wheezed, "He's earned his freedom."
Stefan Salvatore looked like he had just killed a puppy in cold blood. His eyes were enlarged to a comical size and his hands were clenched at his sides. Lilura realized that in the chaos of the fight, Stefan had chosen to give Klaus the white oak stake to kill Mikael.
It was incredibly noble and selfless, which is why Lilura did not trust Stefan in the slightest.
Klaus, on the other hand, was grateful, "Thank you, my friend. You no longer have to do as I say. You're free."
Damon fled from the scene. With one last nod, Stefan went as well.
The people in the house had all gone the moment things had headed south. The aftermath was quite severe.
Hybrids littered the ground. The glass from the numerous windows had shattered, the door was hanging on by its hinge, and the air smelled of fresh death.
She wasn't in such good shape herself. The siren felt dizzy and disoriented, much like she did when she had been bashed in the head by that damned fire extinguisher.
Klaus was a little battered, but he was smiling.
He wordlessly sat down on the steps of the Lockwood mansion, wiping his eyebrow with his bloody hand and looking up at the stars.
Lilura followed his lead and sat beside him.
"We should do this again sometime," Lilura deadpanned, gesturing to the corpses with a small smile.
The Original Hybrid chuckled softly. "Parents," He said. "Sorry, my side of the family is a little hectic."
Lilura shrugged. "It's only fair. You've met mine."
"Yes. Yes, I have," Klaus remarked. "Dasan was a sleaze. Kierein hated my guts. Marcilla was as mad as a hatter...I guess your nanny was nice."
Lilura chuckled, "Well, isn't that the truth."
Klaus looked at her, "I was worried about you."
"Me?" The enchantress scoffed. "I'm not that easy to kill."
"Alright then," Klaus' eyes crinkled at the edges. "Then why did you take so long to regain consciousness?"
"Bloody hell, you should know!" Lilura giggled, leaning into his side. "I was waiting for a dramatic entrance."
"For the millionth time," He rolled his eyes. "I do not do that."
"Yes, you do!" Lilura scrunched her nose in concentration. "Remember when we were waiting for Elena behind a set of lockers? Or when you, Stefan, and I waited for Ray at that dingy bar, or when you surprised me at my birthday party. Also, remember when we were at the lake and then I wanted ice cream but you thought that hiding behind a bush would be -"
"-Do me a favor, love. " He cut in, voice barely above a whisper.
"Yeah?"
"Just..." An unreadable emotion glazed his blue eyes, "Shut up."
Lilura could barely breathe as he leaned in closer until their foreheads were touching, and then Klaus' lips were on hers, and she felt fireworks exploding in her chest, lighting up her blue-green eyes and her devious smile.
Kissing Niklaus Mikaelson was like drinking water for the first time â the need, the desperation, and the refreshing reality blossomed across her face in a rouge blush. Kissing Niklaus Mikaelson was like dancing among the stars â with light touches from his calloused hands and the breeze swirling through her hair, his fingers pulling at a midnight strand.
But most of all, with Lilura's arms around his neck and a laugh bubbling to her lips as they fought for dominance in their embrace, kissing Klaus was like running and stumbling through a forest lit on fire â the souls of her feet and her toes curling at the heat, her breath as hot as the air around them, and the promise of protection and safety in the way his hands traveled to her waist and lower in order to pull her flushed to his body.
He pulled away, resting his forehead against hers. There was a rare gentleness in Klaus' gaze that made butterflies erupt in Lilura's stomach.
"That was..." She whispered, voice raspy.
"Incredible. Out of this world. We should do it again."
Lilura laughed, stroking the side of Klaus jaw. "We should, shouldn't we?"
And they did. Over and over again.
ð I'm so sorry for the short chp but THEY FINALLY KISSED WOOHIOOIOOOO!
