29.Meeting Vidya

Thanks a lot for your support by the precious votes and comments. It means a lot to me. I have observed many who have followed me seeing my work. I am thankful to all of them. So friends I have been to the film 'The Tashkent Files' which is based on the murder mystery of Lal Bahadur Shastri. It focuses on the political journalism, secrets of India and there is a thriller. I suggest everyone to see the film, it is damn awesome.

"I still can't believe that you got the appointment of Vidya.!!" suddenly Manik came this evening informing me of the appointment with Vidya. I was really on cloud nine hearing it, but I have to be careful while spilling some beans from her mouth. She is not easy as Mr. Atif. Khan. "You don't have to think of it, just prepare all the questions that you want to ask her."

Manik said driving the car. Kabir and Navya are collecting the background details of Karan. Adhikari, the police officer. Druv and Aliya went to collect the files of my parents death. I wanted to do it personally, but I believe in them and more over I have Vidya to care for. Well, Mukti is taking care of legal things after the revelation of truth. The police are claiming that, it is illegal to display proofs, but Mukti is handling it, so there is no worry.

We reached the destination and soon the guards allowed us to go inside. "Have a seat." a lady who is none other than Vidya said as we entered the hall. "Welcome to Vidya. Talwar's house!! how can I help you?" she asked once she was in front of us. "We are from Prachiti Today to discuss about Mrs. Varna. Hariharan's life." her calmness vanished and was replaced with her pale face. Her whole body language changed when I mentioned her the name of Varna.

"I don't know anything about her." she said without meeting my eyes. I thought of playing along with her. "Mam, you told us that she was the one who suggested you to take the prostitution profession." by now the woman before me was sweating. "If you want to live, stay away from this." she said in small voice which was heard by us. "Did someone blackmail you?" Manik asked as he saw how a confident woman changed into a coward.

"I am not feeling well just get out!!" Vidya yelled and the guards asked us to leave. I was disappointed by this. This was best opportunity, but I lost it. As soon as I stepped a heard a loud gun shot. The guards asked us to be inside the house. I went near the room of Vidya  which was made of glass, but it was god's grace that she was hiding under the bed. Manik and me hid behind the kitchen table which was near the room.

When we did not hear anything we came out and helped Vidya to come out. "I told you he will come for the lives who wants to know about Varna." Vidya said as she started crying hysterically. I secretly switched on my camera attached to my vanity. Manik handed a glass of water to Vidya. The guards made sure we are safe. "Who is doing this? How is this connected to you? How is he related to Varna? I want every detail of it." I saw her keeping the glass at the table.

"When I was banished from the modelling I was a drunkard and soon became a drug addict by the influence of a guy. My savings were gone, my house and other properties were at debt. One day, when I had no money even to eat a food, I met a man whose face was covered with a mask. He told that he will make my life better if I do as he says. I instantly agreed as he agreed to give me food." she wiped the tear which dropped.

"He made me join to a rehabilitation centre where I gradually started to recover from my addiction. When I was completely cure, he again came to me and told me to give me the statement against Varna." she kept her head between her hands. "I was not knowing that she was dead and my hunger for revenge made me do that. When I was done with the things he told I came to know about the death of Varna. I tried to tell everyone the truth, but the man who was in his mask threatened me to kill." she took the shawl and wound it around her.

"Well, after that, I was replaced for Varna. Till now I receive threats if I go asking around cause of Varna's death. I still regret doing that to Varna. I know my jealousy towards her was the destruction of my career, but she never deserved it. I tried to tell this to her family, but her dad is complete asshole who do not care about her." she said through gritted teeth.

"Do you have any idea of who could have done that to her?" Manik asked to which Vidya nodded in no. "Do you get these attacks often?" I asked to which she nodded. I immediately called Jason to take care about it. "Thank you for your help." I said and went away with Manik following me.

"So we got to know about the mysterious man." Manik said fastening his seat belt. "We got to know that a man who hates Varna." I said fastening the belt and pausing the recorder. "I stole the information about the rehabilitation centre where Vidya was taking treatment." Manik said and handed me the file. "How did you get it?" I was completely shocked. I need to be careful from next time.

"When I went to bring the water, I saw this and thought of keeping it for future use." he said taking a left. "If we contact this centre we can get the information of this man. I think he may have done the payment of treatment though cash, as net banking was not available then, but there is a 5% of chance that he may have used cheque." Manik said and I was listening t his all possibilities.

If the man had done the payment through cheque then we can get the information through his bank account.
