23. Never Have I Ever

Fab 5 started their performance. They are really good, no good is not the word. They are best. Manik's voice creates magic around everyone. Kabir is a drummer, Mukti and Druv are guitarists and Aliya is a keyboard player. I cannot take my eyes off them. They are so dedicated to it. The host was announcing the next performance and I saw Malhotra couple, aka Manik's parents. They had the proud glint in their eyes.

It's really a blessing to get such supporting parents. Now a days most of the parents compel their children to study and take their profession after them. I wish my parents were alive. Now I feel so lonely when I see Manik. He has everything perfect. Perfect family, perfect friends, perfect future planned, everything about him is perfect. I have nothing I could call perfect. Everything about me is imperfect and the only thing I had perfectly planned was my dreams, but due to Manik I am even confused with my future dreams.

"You are not imperfect." someone said beside me. I saw it was Mrs. Malhotra. "Good evening mam." I greeted her with a smile. "You are not imperfect." she it again. Did I say all aloud? She gave me a sweet smile. "Manik have told me a lot about you. If you think Manik was perfect, then your are clearly mistaken. Yes he have everything perfect, but before you came he was irresponsible." this made me think about it. When Manik was with me he was so clever and acted sensible at the time of investigating.

Looking at my confused face she chuckled and went away saying she will tell me when it was the right time. At last all their performance ended and it was damn awesome. I went to their rooms and appreciated for their performance.

"So what is the next step we have to take?" Manik asked once we were all gathered. After the concert everyone gathered in Kabir's house. "I was thinking of visiting Jason. You know if I had not seen that man planting a bomb, many would have lost their life. I need to meet him and ask about the investigation." I had called Jason and he told me that he will introduce me to a friend who is currently working in police service.

"We also need to find the draft copy of post-mortem." Vibha said sitting beside me with her phone. "First I need to meet Jason's friend as I need to reopen my parent's case." I said and by all these attacks, I have concluded that, to solve the case we need the help of police.

"Now we need to find the draft copy of post-mortem report. Kabir, please get the information about the library. One more thing, we will go there as students once we got to know the library." I said and everyone nodded.

"Guys let's play some game. It's been long time." Aliya said bringing a bowl of juice. "The game is 'never I have ever'. A person need to tell something in his/her life that he has not done even for once and other who have done that need to drink this. " she said we all sat around it making a circle. "I will start the game. Never have I ever gone out without make up." this made all the person in the room to drink the juice except Aliya who groaned and made a grumpy face.

"Now It's my turn. Never have I ever upset my mom." this statement of everyone go aww on him. I felt like tears pricking at the edge of my eyes. I controlled it with some deep breaths and fake smiles. Manik, Navya and Aliya drank the juice. "Now it's my turn. Never have I ever shared my underwear with anyone." this earned him a smack on his head by Navya. "You dirty man, you should never share that!!" she acted like his mother and that Romeo was grinning ear to ear as if he earned some Oscar.

"Now it's Nandini's turn." Vibha declared to which every eye was on me. "never have I ever..... " I did not know what to tell. All my life I was in hostel and never experienced how it would be if you get someone who takes care of you, love you, but now I have Manik who is showing me this. What should I tell? "yes, never have I ever been to amusement park." I said and Aliya's eyes were not less than the water melons. Kabir looked at me like I am an alien.

"We have a very serious problem so tomorrow we are going to amusement park." Aliya declared and no one protested. I secretly wished I could go out with all of them, but now my wish is coming true. I am really happy. Whole troop drank the juice. "Now it's Navya's turn." I waited for her open her mouth who was tapping her chin thinking to answer. "Never have I ever sleep before praying goddess Durga." she said and others including me have joined their hands in front of her. I believe in god, but sometimes I tend to forget to pray, but I won't forget to thank him for the life he gave me. I know my life was not with all the roses but it was not even the road of thrones.

"Manik?" he was so excited that he didn't wait for anyone  and said his secret. "Never have I ever felt something that I feel for Nandini." this made me blush 50 shades of red. I looked at everyone who was watching us teasing smile. "Now it's Vibha's turn" I immediately changed the topic to escape from all this teasing.

"never have I ever had a boyfriend." she said and Aliya was the first one to drink it. I looked confused at her "Druv and Aliya shared their relationship since they were 11." All others except fab 4 had their mouth wide open due to Manik's statement.

Love happens in most unexpected age.
