BLAKE'S POV

"Caden?" I asked as I rolled over. I sighed as he wrapped his other arm around me. I blushed as I noticed I was naked and last night came back to me.

"I'm right here Bee." He kissed my temple lightly and I had the weirdest thoughts. Something about blushing, something about fitting just right, beautiful was a thought that kept going on a loop, and a lot of thoughts about last night.

I looked up at Caden and he had a weird half-smile. I realized they were his thoughts. I felt bad for intruding, was I intruding? How do I know what he doesn't mind me knowing or what he wants kept separate? If we were chosen mates we wouldn't get all the thoughts, but I had unlimited access since we were fated mates. Should I be sorry for intruding?

He kissed my shoulder before turning me to look at him, "Don't apologize, you're not intruding. And you can listen to every thought I have if you want to, my beautiful mate." He ran his lips lightly over my shoulders planting countless kisses sporadically.

I looked down, "What if you don't want me to know something?"

"Like what? I'm not hiding anything. Ever. Well, maybe surprises." He said as he moved me closer to him. My body was all tingles and they were stronger now that we mated.

"How would I know?" I never asked these questions because regular mates don't get the entire thoughts of their mates, they get some but not all.

"There are ways of hiding it, but honestly Bee, you can know everything I'm thinking."

"I'm not hiding anything either Caden."

He didn't respond, he just kept looking over my face and his thought was Absolutely beautiful, over and over and I looked down trying not to blush.

"How do you feel?"

My wolf was happy and I couldn't be any more at ease, "Amazing. Yourself?" I laughed when his thoughts went in another direction and he kissed my shoulder. "How can you act like you're deprived?"

"I'm a guy!" He said in defense, "And even better, I am a guy who can keep on going," he wiggled his eyebrows and I rolled my eyes but he kissed me passionately.

"I bet you can."

Do you actually want to bet? This is something I will gladly loose. I looked up at him. We just talked. Mentally.

"That wasn't the pack link," I said slowly.

Nope, it's our link, like us fated mates have, I laughed. I would be in the pack link now too.

I love the sound of that.

He laughed and brought me closer, "I love you Bee."

"I love you too Caden."

"Are you sore?" He asked worriedly.

"Not really." In fact my wolf wanted to go again. I blushed and his eyes grew darker. Oh great, he can read my thoughts, so he knows I want to. Damn.

"Or it's a good thing," I blushed even more and he kissed me as he pinned me against the bed as he laid between my legs.

"You're such a guy," I said and he went to get up but I pulled him back down to me. "But you're my guy. All mine."

He growled into my neck and I already wanted him to take me, "You're mine."

I shivered and he smirked.

Are you sure Bee? He asked looking into my eyes and I smiled. I loved that he cared enough to ask. Even though it would hurt him to stop.

Yes Caden, make love to me, I told him and his eyes became black, as mine turned emerald.

Yes ma'am. He smirked and his hands had my body on fire not a moment later.

We didn't make it out of the bedroom until after dinner and most of the pack was in their own rooms or keeping to themselves with those that they love.

I found out that there weren't many casualties in our pack overall, although one is too many. Way more of the rogues army was injured or killed, mostly killed, than ours. Needless to say, I was proud of our pack. And the girl and mother I helped both survived. The mother took a few days to recover, but she was back to her regualr self by now. I found out she had three children, two girls and a boy, and her mate had been off fighting. He was one of the newest recruits but had made it back, and she told me he couldn't be more thankful of what I did for him. She said he fell apart when he saw her lying there, and he had come and thanked Caden multiple times, since I was unconscious.

Well, after she thanked me for saving her daughter's life about eigtheen times. I had just hugged her and let her cry until she was crying tears of joy and then gave her children a hug before they went for a picnic with their father, Connor.

There was a lot of good in the week I was out. Caden filled me in on just about everything and I couldn't be more happy that he kept me in the loop. I've done some of the pack recovery with him, more the people side as he deals with the council and fighters and such.

It was a good system. Unfortunately, since we've been busy, we haven't talked much, but I enjoy seeing him morning and night. Plus he sneaks away for a few hours once in a while to sit with me. Even that makes me be more sure of him. The fact that with everything going on he still finds time for me couldn't make me happier.

I had spoken to my family and my father had gotten a few injuries but seemed to be recovering quickly. The doctor was kind of worried, but with him getting snapped at by his patient, and his Alpha, especially my father, I don't blame him for being worried. Mom never said it was anything to worry about, and Dana and Ben were moving on, so I put it to the back of my mind.

Hey beautiful, busy? Caden asked and I smiled as his arms went around my waist holding me to him.

Not any more.

He chuckled, kissing my neck and up to my jaw. "I miss you."

"We had breakfast this morning Cade."

"Not. Enough. Time." He said as if he couldn't breathe and I laughed as I turned in his arms.

"So deprived. Your mate shouldn't do that to someone as needy as you, sexy."

The amusement in his eyes made me smile and he smirked, "So should my mate let me take her upstairs and have my way with her?"

"I don't know..." I trailed off pretending to debate it. His hand on my lower back pressed me closer to him as his lips trailed over my neck, "Depends how amazing your mate is."

He laughed, "I have the most amazing mate I could ever hope for. Amazing in every way possible."

I laughed, "Then maybe she won't stop you."

He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist, "Maybe? Just maybe Bee?"

"Definitely."

He carried me up the stairs and I put my head on his shoulder. He was so warm and safe. I couldn't imagine ever having this much luck. How he fell for me is still not in my understanding, but thank God he did.

I had my hand under his shirt as I ran them up his back and he sucked in a breath before he tossed me gently on our bed. He hovered over me and I took off his tight black shirt as I let my hands roam over his chiseled chest and abdomen. He was staring down at me and I let my eyes follow my hands over his skin.

"Your hands are like velvet beautiful." His voice was low and hoarse and made me need him that much more. He grabbed my wrists as they neared his face again and gently kissed my palms, "So soft."

I melted into him and his hands slowly went under my shirt before Daniel's businesslike voice came through, stopping us immediately. You have visitors. They need to speak to you. Immediately.

Thanks Dan, Caden replied and collapsed with half his weight on me. "Tell me you didn't hear that."

"No, Caden, Daniel has never told both of us to do something 'immediately'. This is important."

"I know you're right, but if he had given us an hour I wouldn't complain."

I grabbed his shirt and he put it back on after sitting up. I kissed him quickly, "Come on sexy." He kissed my shoulder before lifting me out of the bed and hugging me tightly but quickly to him. I had that weird feeling again. Something was coming, good and bad. I just have no idea why it felt bigger this time. And not so much bad but- I don't know.

"Babe, what's wrong?" I knew he felt it through me, it was so... overbearing.

"Remember that feeling I had? Before the meeting? Almost like a hunch, except it's so... intense and overwhelming."

"You have that feeling now? That's what that... that is?" I nodded. I didn't know how to describe it either. "Hey," He tilted my face up and looked right at me, "Last time it all worked out. Look where we are. Better than ever. We'll get through this too."

"Thank you Cade."

He just smiled and put his hand around my shoulders and I held his hand before we walked down. "You're not alone babe, we're a team. The best team."

"I love you."

"I love you too Bee."

We got to the bottom and I thought we would be meeting these 'visitors' in the office. Aparently these were personal visitors though, because we met them in a small living room off the foyer.

We walked in the door and I grew worried when I saw who my visitors were. Caden let me go, but stayed close.

I hugged Dana. And mom. And then Benjamin.
