â
hat the hell, Tristan?â Talon paces the pavement of the parking lot in front of me, raking nervous hands through his dark locks. âWe said we werenât using names!â
I run a hand down my face and force out a breath to keep my own frustration contained.
âDonât you think I know that?â I grit out.
Talon continues fussing, but I can barely hear what heâs saying over my own jumbled up thoughts. What the fuck was I thinking? Itâs not like this was the first time weâd gone to Purgatory. We never make this kind of mistakeâI never make these kinds of mistakes. Talon and I canât afford them.
âDid you hear what I said?â Tay exclaims as he snaps his fingers in front of my face.
I blink and focus my gaze on him. âWhat?â
âShe knows us.â
Three simple words have never held so much weight. My brain wants to reject the idea, but I know that I canât. I can still see the horror and disgust that filled her gaze after I said Tayâs name, but it was the recognition that shined the brightest.
She definitely knows us.
I sigh deeply and lean against the side of my BMW. Weâll be fucked if it gets out my brother and I are involved in sex clubs, and that weâve bought a womanâs virginity. As heirs to the biggest real estate company in the city, everyone knows our family. If the woman we were with actually knows us, a scandal like that will be bad for business.
âWe donât know that,â I finally say when Talon continues watching me expectantly. He scoffs in response.
âYou saw the way she fucking reacted, dude.â He shakes his head as he rubs his temples. âAnd you used my nickname, which not too many people know unless theyâre close to us.â
The worry in his eyes reflects how I also feel. Heâs painfully fucking right.
âFuck,â I hiss under my breath.
I push off the side of my car and pace the pavement, my mind moving a million miles a second. How could I have been so fucking careless? I try to think of who the woman could possibly be, but draw a blank. Itâs obviously not a woman Iâve slept with before, since she was a virgin. The longer I stand here, the more I wish I would have forced her to take her mask off. She said her safe word right when I reached for her, ending the opportunity to reveal her identity.
And not recognizing her is dangerous.
I force myself to try to remember if she has any tattoos or distinguishing marks, but the only things I can conjure up are the steamy memories I have of her. I can remember those big doe eyes looking up at me while she swallowed my cock, tears glittering on her lash lines like pretty sparkling diamonds. I can recall how soft and warm her skin felt when I dug my fingers into her hips. Goosebumps rise on my arms at the memory of her tight, soaking wet pussy squeezing my cock as her pained yet lustful whimpers imprinted on my mind.
âCan you fucking focus?â Talon snaps.
I grind my teeth and tuck the heated memories away in order to focus.
âIâm thinking,â I reply in a huff. âShe doesnât look all that familiar. We donât know anyone with purple hair, do we?â
âWhat if itâs a wig?â he muses.
âYou ran your fingers through it. Iâm sure you know what a wig feels like.â I press the heels of my palms against my eyes for a moment before dropping my arms with a sigh. âWe need to talk to Lucian. Heâll know who she is.â
âDo you think heâll actually give us that information?â Talon lifts a brow. âYou know how he is about client privacy.â
I shrug. Lucianâs confidentiality agreement is one of the best things about this place, one that allows us to remain protected whenever we decide to have a little fun. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
âOnce we explain the situation to him, Iâm sure heâll understand and make an exception,â I say. I can only hope that our relationship with him will work in our favor. As long as the woman remains a mystery, weâre at risk of being exposed.
The last thing we need is to have our dad on our ass about âcorrupting the family reputation.â
Talon and I make our way back into the club. We weave through the people milling about on the main level as we make our way to the hallway holding the offices. My feet move on autopilot to Lucianâs office, Talon knocking firmly on the door when we approach it.
âItâs open!â Lucian calls out from the other side. Talon looks at me, and I nod, both of us entering the office. Lucian does a double take when he realizes itâs us, his eyebrows raising a little in surprise.
âDid something happen?â His gaze bounces between the both of us. âYou guys should be upstairs, correct?â
âWhoâs the girl we paid for?â I ask, cutting to the chase.
Lucian stares at me for a long moment.
âYou know I canât tell you that.â He leans back in his seat and folds his hands in his lap. âWe have a confidentiality agreement for a reason.â
âYeah, well, this is special circumstances,â I say through gritted teeth. âYou know we canât afford for anyone to find out that weâve come here, let alone find out that we paid to take someoneâs virginity.â
âAnd they wonât.â He shrugs nonchalantly.
Talon takes a single step forward in an effort to try to diffuse the situation before it escalates. âWe think the woman might know who we are. She kind of freaked out when Tristan used my nickname, so we need to know if sheâs someone we need to⦠deal with.â
âBasically, we need to know who she is to ensure she doesnât come back and try to blackmail us for a bigger payday,â I say. âSo we need her name. Now.â
Lucian sighs deeply, the passive expression on his face never wavering.
âYou guys know the rules,â he simply says again. âWe donât tell the women your names, and we donât tell you theirs.â He leans forward and shuffles some papers on his desk. âBesides, she didnât get any money, and she has zero proof it was you⦠unless you didnât wear your masks. Iâm sure itâs nothing.â
âSheâs not a risk Iâm willing to take,â I hiss.
Frustration bubbles underneath my skin. We arenât going to get anywhere with Lucian. His confidentiality agreement is a blessing and a curse. Itâs a blessing when it works for us, but it has quickly turned into a pain in the ass when we need information. I run a frustrated hand through my dark hair as I think.
Talon glances over at me, his eyes seeming to question what to do next. Then, a thought comes to me.
âNegotiate a new deal with her then,â I say. I can feel Talonâs confused gaze on me, but I keep my eyes trained on Lucian.
He raises an eyebrow as he regards me. âWhat makes you think sheâll want to do this again? Didnât she use her safe word?â
âShe only used it when we were trying to get her to take her mask off,â I mutter. âRenegotiate a deal with her and tell her weâll pay her double the amount she wouldâve made today for two hours.â I suck in a breath. âBut this time, we do it downstairs.â
No one says anything for a while. There are all kinds of stories that surround this place, and the majority of them involve the lower level of the club.
The level thatâs known simply as Hell.
The upper level, where we originally were, is Heaven. Everything on that floor of the club is light and consensual, with rooms to play out every kink under the sun. But Hell⦠thatâs different. Dark. Dangerous.
There are no limits, no rules, and no safe words when you go down there. Thereâs a joke among members that Hell is where the damned go to play. There are people whoâve gone down there and have never been heard from again, people fulfilling their darkest, most violent fantasies on both willing⦠and unwilling partners.
To most people, Hell is a frightening place, but I know itâs the only place weâll get the information weâre after.
âSheâll never agree to that,â Lucian finally says with a frown. âIf she used her safe word in Heaven, why the hell do you think sheâs going to let you take her down to Hell?â
âYouâll be surprised what the desperate will do for money.â I smirk.
Talon rubs the back of his neck. âCan you give us a minute, Lucian?â
He grabs my arm and pulls me out of the office, closing the door behind him when we step out into the hallway.
âAre you sure about this? With the way she lost her shit earlier, I donât think sheâll even consider another dealâespecially one down there.â
My brow creases in confusion. âWhat do you mean, am I sure? You see that Lucian isnât going to give us what weâre asking for, so we have to take another route to get to the truth.â
Talon releases a deep breath, his eyes sweeping the hallway before they settle on me again. âThis is Hell weâre talking about. We know the shit that goes on down there. You think scaring her is gonna help?â
âWeâre not scaring her.â I release a deep breath. âTwo hours downstairs with no safe word. Enough time so we can take her mask off and figure out who she is.â
âAnd what if Lucian refuses to do that?â
âThen we can make things hard for him,â I say simply.
Talon rolls his eyes. âHe can make things hard for us as well. He has just as much dirt on us as we do on him.â
He leans against the wall.
âIf weâre being honest, sheâs not technically a virgin anymore⦠since we fucked her. Four hundred grand is a lot of money for a name,â I point out.
He gives me a lazy shrug. âWe pretty much got her virginity for free. Maybe Lucian is right; she canât prove that itâs us. Maybe weâll be fine.â
âYou want to bet your future on a âmaybe?ââ I narrow my eyes on him. âThe money is a small price to pay for what could happen if she runs that pouty mouth.â
I tighten my hands into fists at my side and lower my voice. âItâs a small price to pay when the alternative is Dad fucking finding out what weâve been up to.â
The muscles in Talonâs jaw tick as he stares at me with his nostrils flared. He sighs. We both idolize our father, wanting to make him proud by carrying on the family company that he built from the ground up. Itâll kill me to disappoint him. If something we recklessly did ruins his hard work, I wonât forgive myself. So if it takes paying more money to get information that will give us peace of mind and keep our sins in Hell, four hundred grand is a price Iâll pay gladly.
âYeah,â he finally agrees. âAll right then. I guess we can try to get her to accept a new deal.â
I nod and open the office door. Lucianâs eyes follow us as we re-enter. Talon glances at me briefly before narrowing his gaze on Lucian.
âAs Tristan said, weâd like to make a new deal with her. Two hours in Hell. No safe word. Four hundred thousand dollars.â
âYou can remind her that weâve already taken her virginity and left her with nothing,â I add. âBe sure to ask her if she wants her sacrifice to be in vain.â
Lucianâs lips curl up into a mischievous smirk as he slowly nods.
âOkay then,â he says. âIâll present it to her and get back to you.â
We give him our thanks and excuse ourselves from his office. Neither of us says anything until weâre outside of the club and heading back to our cars.
âThink sheâll accept the deal?â Talon asks after a while.
If Iâm being honest, I canât be too sure. Aside from the fact that she may know us, Hell has its own reputation that causes people to want to stay away from it. But if sheâs desperate enough to sell her virginity in the first place, my gut tells me she may be open to salvaging whatever she can so sheâll know she didnât pop her cherry for nothing.
âShe wonât have a choice,â I say.
Iâll find out who she is, whether sheâs a willing participant or not.
Because I always get what I want in the endâno matter the cost.
