I frowned, feeling uncomfortable by his smothering hug, "Release me."
In this weird atmosphere, looking at him in the eye, I couldnât help but blinked a few times.
And this became a fuse.
Dennis then pressed his lips on mine.
I was not prepared.
I stared at him astonishingly when I almost couldnât breathe. He seemed to enjoy my expression and let me go for a moment. "wonât you have sex with me?"
"Dennis, no."
No sex for four years may be a torment for normal people, but it was a relief for me.
In the last four years, I had cured all my sorrows, but only my physical defects couldnât be cured by myself.
......
When I woke up the next day, Dennis, who shouldâve been gone as usual, was lying beside me with his eyes closed.
The man slept soundly. I turned over and looked at his face. Suddenly, I had a feeling that time flied too fast.
As if the past seven years had passed in a blink.
Having gone through all those miseries, I would be able to live in peace and happiness in the future, right?
But I was still anxious.
Lost in my thought, I failed to notice that Dennis was awake.
He looked at me, with a smile on his handsome face, âhungry?â
I shook my head, âno.â
He pulled into his arms, âyou have been losing weight these days. You should have regular meals.â
I smiled, âIâve actually gained weight.â I felt safe in his arms.
The breakfast was simple. Tony served porridge, which tasted good.
But I didnât have much because I felt bad in stomach.
I pretended as if I were okay until Dennis went out. Then I went to the bathroom and threw up everything I ate.
There were still several reporters outside. As my connections with Hank and Dennis were made public, I already became a slut in the newspaper.
I avoided noticing the news otherwise I might be broken mentally.
But everyone knew it. I couldnât show myself in P University anymore so I stayed in the house, studying.
A few days passed. Those paparazzi gained nothing so that they left.
But their influence on me lingered. I was not a divinity so I couldnât exempt myself from the impacts of those slanders.
Clariana came back after staying at the Kennedyâs for several days. Hugging me tightly, she said, âmom, are you going to leave me? Why did you let me stay in Grandpaâs?â
I was surprised, âwhy, mom was busy so mom let you go to Grandpaâs.â
The child said, âbut a woman in Grandpaâs said you didnât want me, and that I was not your child so you would send me away when I grow up.â
I knitted my eyebrows, âA woman?â There were not so many women in the Kennedyâs. It must be the housemaid.
She nodded, âItâs the one who cooked for us every day. Grandpa was too busy to accompany me. Uncle was also busy so that he could only tell me stories when he got home in the evening. Only she was beside me.â
I pulled the kid into my arms, âMom wonât leave you and you are momâs child. Donât believe these lies, okay?â
She nodded and went to the yard to play.
I thought of calling Leo but after second thought, gave up.
In the evening, Dennis called, âHave you eaten your dinner?â
If Clariana were not here, I wouldnât have cooked.
Please Love Me, Mr. George Looking at the half-prepared meal, I replied, âNot yet.â
"Let's go to D Town for dinner tonight. I'll come and pick you up and Clariana later. It's cold outside, so put on more clothes." On the other end of the phone, he seemed to be still sorting out documents, so he should still be in the company.
I didn't go out these days, and I was a little worried. "Will we attract unnecessary attention?" After all, the paparazzi were just gone.
âDonât worry. Iâve booked a private room.â After a pause, he continued, âMario just came back from H Town, and he wants to see Clariana.â
I frowned. I didnât want him to meet Clarie.
Dennis said gently, âIf you donât like it, we three can dine together, without Mario.â
âNo. He can see Clarie.â Mario was the father after all.
Half an hour later, Dennis drove his car here. Clarie and I got in the car, sitting on the back seats.
He frowned, âIs there anything wrong?â
I shook my head. As it was a little hot in the car with the air-conditioner on. I took off my scarf.
Clarie was talkative along the way, while I was very quiet, feeling bad in my heart.
When we arrived at the room in the restaurant, Mario was already there, alone. He asked this or that from Clrarie immediately upon seeing her, with a big smile on his face.
I sat down. Dennis held my hand, with a low and cautious voice, âYou unhappy?â
Pressing my lips, I shook my head slightly, âI am okay.â
Then the waiter served the food.
While Clarie was talking to Dennis, Marioâs eyes fell on Clarie.
I was silent for a moment, then looked at Mario, and said, "Since Nova would give birth soon, you ..."
