I went straight to the bathroom, and when I came out, Olivia was transferred to the general ward.
Olivia woke up after the anesthetic. Her face turned pale and she lay on the bed numb for a few seconds.
Seeing Luna and Samuel were there, she said hoarsely, âMom, dad, why am I here?â
Luna said, holding her. âYouâre hurt. Mr. George brought you here.â
Olivia froze, probably thinking about what had happened to her.
She looked around the room and saw Dennis. Her eyes suddenly turned red. She looked at Dennis and said hoarsely, âIt hurts!â
With that, tears came out of her eyes and she reached out her hand to Dennis in a pitiful way to pull him. But she made a slight movement and pulled at the wound, making a long hiss of pain.
Dennis stepped up and grabbed her. âYou just got out of surgery,â he said seriously. âDon't move!â
Olivia grabbed him and shot her eyes sharply at me. âDennis, itâs Clara. She wanted to kill me! She wanted to kill me! This woman is horrible. You canât be with her. Sheâs horrible.â
Then she raised her voice and pointed at me and yelled, âGet out of here, I donât want to see you, get out!â
I pressed my lips together and looked at her, expressionless. My eyes rested on Dennis. She leaned on him, and the pain in my heart began to spread.
Looking at Luna and Samuel, she raised her voice and said, âMom, Dad, Iâm going to Sue her. Iâm going to Sue her for intentional assault!â
Then she looked around for her phone.
Luna and Samuel didnât bring her the phone, but looked at her in complicated ways, and at me even more complicated.
Dennis didnât say anything, just letting her look for her phone and dialing out the three numbers herself.
âHello? Hereâs been intentional injury, serious injury!â
Then she told them her address quickly.
I looked at Dennis and saw that his face was sullen, but he still didnât say a word.
Mario looked at me, paused and said, âCome on, Iâll take you home!â
I pressed my lips together and said carelessly, âIâll wait for the police!â
Mario frowned. âDennis is here. Heâll take care of it. Come on, Iâll take you home!â
I sneered, still looking at Dennis, âso if I leave, Iâll be more guilty?â
Mario stopped talking and stared at Dennis, waiting for him to speak, but Dennis showed no intention of speaking.
It wasnât long before two young men in police uniforms arrived. When they saw the people in the ward, they both froze. It seemed that they both knew us.
After all, we were the most famous people in City P, and they probably had saw us on the news a lot.
The two young men walked over to Oliviaâs bed and said, âMiss Pearson? Did you just call the police?â
It was too quiet in the ward. Olivia looked at Luna and Samuelâs attitude and seemed surprised. Why didnât they say a word the whole time?
But she didnât think anything of it. She just looked at me, raised her hand, pointed at me and said, âItâs her. Iâm suing her for attempted homicide.â
Two young men looked at me, walked up to me and said, âMiss, please come with us.â
âIt wasnât her. I can testify to that. She didnât do it.â Nanny Daisy arrived at some point, got in front of me, looked at them and said, âOfficer, she didnât kill anyone. Youâve got the wrong man.â
Olivia suddenly sneered. âNot her? Did I stab myself?â
Nanny Daisy glared at her and roared, âYou hurt yourself. You are setting her up on purpose.â
Olivia didn't expect her to say that. She glared at her. âYouâre a liar.â
She was a little anxious. âAnd Yara, too. Yara was there. She can vouch for me.â
She had her cell phone in her hand and was hurriedly calling Yara. The phone rang outside the hallway.
Yara came to the hospital from the beginning, but she was always in the lobby. Now Olivia called her.
She came up and looked at the people in the ward frowning.
When Olivia saw her, she said excitedly, âAunt, please tell the police that Clara stabbed me. She tried to kill me. You saw that. You tell the police, ok?â
Yara looked in Dennis's direction, but Dennis had a dark face and deep eyes, showing no emotion.
She looked sideways at me and said with a slight frown, âI was in my bedroom. I donât know exactly what happened, but you were being loaded into an ambulance when I got out.â
Olivia looked at her in disbelief and said, âAuntie, you saw it. Why didnât you tell them?â
The police were confused. They didnât know exactly what was going on.
Olivia grabbed Dennis and her eyes turned red. âDennis, you saw it, you saw it with your own eyes, you told them Clara was going to kill me, just tell them!â
Dennis pursed his lips and said nothing, but his dark eyes fell on me, eerily deep.
Dennis didnât speak, and there was a moment of awkwardness in the ward. Especially the two policemen. The room was full of important people, and they couldnât say anything.
After a pause, one of the policemen looked at me and said, âMiss, would you please come with us and take a statement? Weâll decide on the details after we get a better balance.â
I nodded, but Nanny Daisy stopped them with excitement, âYou canât take her without proof. Based on her word alone? Is that the way you deal with things?â
I sighed and knew Nanny Daisy was worried that if I went to the police station, there would be a record that would be bad for me.
I said to her, âItâs okay. Iâll just go with them. You donât have to worry.â
I headed straight out of the ward. From the moment I did that to Olivia, I never thought Iâd get away with it.
âItâs not her!â I just got to the door, and Dennis, who had been silent, started talking.
I froze and turned back unconsciously.
Olivia, who was probably not expecting him to say this, stared at him in disbelief and bellowed, âDennis, how could you? Do you know what youâre doing?â
Not just Olivia, but Yara.
Please Love Me, Mr. George ï¤Chapter 249 Youâll be in Prison for at Least a few years 2 Her eyes narrowed and her lips tightened.
âThatâs not logical. Miss Pearson had an accident in my house, so why would she, as a stranger, be in my house in the middle of the night? If my wife had intended to hurt her, how could she have chosen such an obvious way? The handle was in Miss Pearsonâs hand.â
