The night had been filled with so many emotions-so many moments that had left Gianna's heart fluttering in her chest-but now that she was finally home, it was like the world had returned to normal. Or so she thought.

As she closed the door behind her and leaned against it, her heart still racing from the kiss with Hector, she took a deep breath. Her fingers lightly traced her lips, still feeling the warmth of his kiss, and a small, happy smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She could feel her cheeks flush at the thought of it.

But just as she began to walk further into the apartment, she heard the familiar sound of the front door slamming open-followed by a very loud, very dramatic voice.

"Gianna Guiu, you better not be sleeping yet!"

Gianna froze, rolling her eyes as she sighed dramatically. "Cienna, seriously, it's like midnight."

Cienna stormed into the living room with all the urgency of a detective on a case. Her hair was slightly messy from the wind, and she wore a determined expression, her eyes locked onto Gianna with a sense of mission. "No, no! I'm not letting you off this easy! I need the details, NOW. You went to dinner with Hector. You kissed. I can tell!"

Gianna stood there, her hand still on the door, wide-eyed. "How did you-?" she started, but Cienna didn't wait for her to finish.

"Oh, don't act like you're surprised! You were practically glowing when you came in the door!" Cienna grinned, crossing her arms. "And don't even try to deny it-your whole vibe screams 'something happened.'"

Gianna, still in her shoes, slowly stepped further into the room, her heart doing little flips. She wasn't sure if she was embarrassed or giddy, but whatever it was, it had her feeling like she was walking on air. "Well, we did go to dinner," she said casually, as if the date had been nothing but an ordinary night out. "It was nice."

"Nice?" Cienna repeated, her tone flat, clearly unimpressed by the understatement. "Nice? That's all you're giving me? You went on a date with Hector Fort, and it was just... nice?" She raised her eyebrows dramatically. "Please. Spill. Everything."

Gianna could feel herself blushing even more. She threw her bag onto the couch and then nervously smoothed her hair. "I don't know... It was a great dinner. We talked, we laughed, the food was good. And then-uh-he kissed me. Twice."

Cienna's eyes practically lit up, her hands flying up in the air as if she'd just won the lottery. "I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT!" She jumped up and down with excitement, her face lighting up. "That's all I needed to hear. Hector Fort, on Gianna Guiu! You two are officially a thing, right?"

Gianna could feel her stomach flip at the idea, the word thing suddenly feeling so heavy. "I don't know, Cienna. I mean... I'm not sure what we are," she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "But it feels different. I don't know how to explain it, but... it feels right."

Cienna, sensing Gianna's hesitation, softened a little, but her excitement still bubbled to the surface. She took a step forward and placed a hand on Gianna's shoulder. "Look, Giu. You're an amazing person. You deserve someone who makes you feel like you're everything-and it sounds like Hector's doing exactly that. So, don't hold back, okay? Just let it happen. If it's meant to be, it'll be."

Gianna looked at her best friend, her heart feeling both heavy and light at the same time. Cienna always knew how to calm her, always knew what to say to ease her worries. She took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right. I just... I don't know what's going to happen. I don't want to mess things up."

"You won't," Cienna reassured her with a confident smile. "Besides, you two are already half in love with each other. I can see it. You're just waiting for the other to admit it."

Gianna felt her cheeks heat up again, her mind racing with the truth in Cienna's words. Was that what it was? Were they both waiting for the other to admit it? Or was it something more complicated than that?

Before Gianna could answer, Cienna threw herself down onto the couch with a dramatic sigh. "I swear, though, you have to tell me everything the next time you see him. I want to know what you wore, how he looked at you, everything! You can't leave out a single detail."

Gianna couldn't help but laugh, rolling her eyes playfully. "Fine, fine. I'll keep you updated. I guess you're my personal love life reporter now, huh?"

"Damn straight," Cienna responded, still grinning. "You know it. Now, tell me: what was the kiss like? Was it slow? Passionate? Or was it one of those quick, I'm-too-awkward-to-handle-this kinds of kisses?"

Gianna bit her lip, trying to suppress a smile. "It was... well, it was perfect. He kissed me like he meant it, but also like he was afraid I might pull away. And then he kissed me again. But in a good way. Like he just wanted to be closer."

Cienna gasped, her eyes wide. "That's so cute! Hector Fort, huh? I'm proud of you, Giu. This is a big step."

Gianna smiled, a warmth spreading through her chest as she thought back to the way Hector had looked at her tonight. The way he kissed her as if he wanted to stay in that moment forever. She wasn't sure what this meant for them, but for the first time, she felt hopeful.

"Thanks, Cici," Gianna said softly, grateful for her best friend's support. "I'm just... I guess I'm just figuring it out."

"Well, you better hurry up and figure it out," Cienna teased with a wink, "because I need to know if I'm getting a wedding invite or not."

Gianna laughed out loud, the sound of it echoing through the room. "You're impossible."

"Guilty as charged," Cienna said, tossing a pillow playfully at her. "But seriously, Gianna, you deserve this. You deserve him. And don't let anything or anyone make you second-guess it."

Gianna nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude for the friends who had always been there for her. She wasn't sure where things would go with Hector, but for the first time in a long while, she felt ready to let herself find out.
