Chapter 5:

Hazel POV:

The bell finally rang, signalling that the last lesson for Friday was finished. I've only been here for a week and it's pure misery and hell. I sighed out heavily and slammed the history book shut and placed everything in a mess in my bag. During this week, I've ignored Zayn and his group but Harry always seemed to find me and drag me with him to lunch with his group, much to my protests.

I have a couple of lessons with Harry and Zayn, his group usually sit at the back and I made it my mission to ignore the back seats and thankfully, people hated sitting in the front so the front seats were always empty.

I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked out of the classroom. I swerved through the crowded corridors, making my way towards my locker. When I finally found my locker, I turned the lock and took out my books and took the ones that I needed. I slammed the locker door shut and turned around but stumbled backwards, let out a little scream then hitting the idiotic boy in front of me.

He burst out laughing and I hit him harder. "From what planet are you!?" I said through gritted teeth.

He chuckled and grabbed my wrists, stopping me from hitting him any further.

"Earth," he replied simply. I rolled my eyes and made my way towards the front doors. "Where are you going?"

"Home, you wanna come along?" I asked sarcastically not expecting him to answer.

"Sure, my parents are out of town," he replied.

He walked side by side next to me, while students continued to stare at me.

I had made a few friends but the most that I was sort of close to were Harry, Liam and Jesy. I ignored Zayn. Completely. Last Wednesday I had phoned my grandparents to see how they were doing, they asked me how I was going and when I had mistakenly mentioned that I was hanging out with the Malik's son, my grandmother went a bit crazy. I reassured her, well them, that I wasn't going to do anything stupid and once I gave her my promise she calmed down.

I didn't get why they hated every Malik family, though. Sure their family did a lot of mistakes which resulted in making my family get the worst of those mistakes and them just getting the sympathy. But from what I've seen and found out for myself, Zayn was alright. He was even nice but I was warned that he was one heck of a charmer and flirt.

Harry and I started the walk towards my house. After around ten minutes I pushed open the gate but stopped when I saw my grandparents car parked in the driveway. Harry stopped and looked at me, he followed my gaze and saw the car, then looked back at me looking confused.

"What's wrong?"

"My grandparents are here."

"So? It's not like I'm your boyfriend," he said with a chuckle. "I don't mind, if that's what you're thinking."

"Are you sure?" I asked him, biting my lip.

He nodded and we walked up the driveway. I jammed the key, turned and opened the door. I stepped onto my left so that Harry could have space to enter. He stepped inside, dropping his bag next to door.

"Mom?" I yelled while throwing my bag carelessly next to the door. I rolled my eyes when I noticed that no one was actually home. I walked inside the kitchen, hearing Harry's shoes tap across the tiles after me. I walked towards the table and saw a yellow sticky note with scribbling on it.

I grabbed it and read it. "Honey, your Father's parents came over and I took them a bit around town and out for dinner. Your Father is going to be late tonight, cook something for yourself for dinner. Love Mom."

I crumpled the paper in my hand and threw it on the table. I looked up at Harry, he was leaning on the door frame his eyebrows slightly raised. I rubbed my nose and walked over towards the fridge, looking inside.

"How am I supposed to cook dinner for myself? I can't even do myself a sandwich," I said while slamming the fridge door.

He chuckled and I shot him a glare. "You're going to be a bad wife someday, Haze," he said with a silent chuckle. I groaned and jumped on the counter, crossing my legs and leaned my elbows on my thighs. "I never actually thought that I would be hanging out with you."

"Why?" I asked him curiously. "Oh right. Because I'm a weirdo and un-popular, right?"

He rolled his eyes. "We're only popular because people make us popular," he replied with a shrug. "And no, but I always thought you were a bit harsh."

My mouth slightly gaped open and I gasped. "I am not harsh!"

"You snapped at me the first time you met me!" he protested with a smile.

My mouth gaped wider. "Well don't blame me! Blame my morning moods!"

He gave me the 'Are You Serious?' look and I nodded. "I'm hungry."

I frowned and chuckled. "Me too. Cook me food peasant!" I ordered him, making my British accent sound posh, while trying to hold in a laugh.

He rolled his eyes, smiling. "Peasant?"

I nodded and motioned for him to cook me something. He walked over towards the fridge and took out a bunch of stuff that I didn't know we had in the kitchen. He rummaged through a bunch of cupboards and drawers, then after taking out everything he began cooking.

Let's just hope he doesn't poison me.

Zayn POV:

"Zayn!" Sophia said and snapped her fingers in front of my face. I blinked and looked at her. She rolled her eyes, stood up and sat down on wrapping her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. She came along with me at home since the rest of my parents where out of town to visit some relatives and since I had exams soon I didn't go with them. We were on the sofa downstairs watching television while Sophia stayed talking about how she wanted to paint her nails and I dozed off thinking.

She tightened her legs around my waist, pressing herself on me. She smiled when she felt the bump beneath her. She bit her lip while smirking, she locked her lips with mine and we moved in sync.

It's not that I felt anything for her but I was the 'popular' boy in the school and Captain of the football team while she was the Head Cheerleader. It was expected that the Captain and Head Cheerleader would go out. The first time I had met Sophia was at a party, she was kind, nice, outgoing and not a bitch but then things changed and she started showing her real self. I couldn't break up with her or else I'd ruin my reputation and might even get kicked off from the Captain position. I did have other hobbies, like singing but that was something that I couldn't trust Sophia with. Only the boys knew and that only included Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam. My best mates since kinder garden.

She parted from me, her face holding an angry expression. "What the fuck is wrong!?"

I arched an eyebrow at her, confused. "What?"

"You're not acting normal. Whenever we're in this position you're always eager and continuing with me but today you're different," she commented and I wanted to burst out laughing at her.

I rolled my eyes, pushed her off and stood up. "I'm just tired, maybe you should go."

She looked at me, not believing what I just did. She arched one of her eyebrows at me, when I didn't respond saying that she could say she stood up and walked past me and towards the door.

"Don't be like that," I said and she spun on her heels and looked at me, her eyes narrowed.

"You just declined sex Zayn, that's not you," she replied, resting her hands on her hips.

Ha. You don't even know me.

I breathed out and looked at her. "I'm just tired, Soph," I replied faking a sleepy face.

Her face softened a bit and after a few seconds she sighed and walked towards me. She planted a kiss on my lips and walked towards the front door, sending me an air kiss before slamming the door shut. I groaned and rolled my eyes while slumping down on the sofa.

I heard a girl's scream coming from the Anderson's house. I furrowed my eyebrows and stood up, walked towards the other side of the room and peered out of the window which was directly opposite their kitchen.

I noticed Hazel standing up, her uniform blouse covered with some sort of thick brown liquid? I saw Harry with a red bowl in his hands his mouth hanging open, his eyes wide. He looked like he wanted to burst into fits of laughter. Guessing from her face expression, she was furious.

"Harry I'm going to kill you!" she screamed and I chuckled but felt a pang of jealousness. I shook the feeling off and turned around, climbing upstairs and took off my shirt. I pushed open my bedroom door, dumped the shirt on the floor and heard a door slam from the house next door. I walked over to the window and peeped out, looking to the other side. The curtains were open, like always and I saw Hazel kicking off her shoes, then started taking off her jersey, then unbuttoning her blouse. She took off her blouse and was only wearing a black bra, her stomach tanned and bare. I smirked and forced myself to look away, if she knew I saw that she'd kill me.

I slumped down on my double bed, staring up at the dull ceiling. I chewed on my lip and dozed off to my thoughts, my eyes started to close. I didn't bother to stop myself since I was exhausted and besides, it was a Friday I didn't have to worry about doing homework or studying even.

Hazel POV:

When Harry left, flour still falling down from his precious curls. The clock's hands marked eleven in the afternoon and I was extremely tired. I climbed upstairs, turning on the lights in my bedroom and slamming it shut. My mother had driven my grandparents back to Leeds and she decided to stay over at her sister's house while Dad was staying over at a hotel since he didn't have the 'energy' to drive a half hour drive. So that left me all alone at home. My mother had offered to call the Malik's asking if I could stay over but, and I qoute, 'over my dead body'. So, yeah, I was all alone at home.

Usually, whenever I was home alone I would call over my cousin, Seth, and we would stay playing COD till three in the morning or watch a bunch of creepy movies and turning on all of the lights in the house just to go to the bathroom.

We've only been in Bradford for around a week and yet, I was still not used to everything. I missed my old house, I missed Seth, I missed my grandparents.

But most of all; I miss my old life.
