30: I Want This To End

Chapter 30:

Hazel POV:

*5 days later

"Wake up."

"Go away," I mumbled in my pillow and turned away from the voice.

"Hazel wake up."

"No!"

"Yes."

"Jesus Christ, Seth, you're annoying!" I groaned and tried to fall back asleep.

But then, realisation dawned on me. My eyes flew open and I literally jumped off the bed and tackled Seth into a hug. He chuckled and hugged me back.

"When did you arrive?" I asked him with a grin on my face.

"Early morning, I just arrived here, like, ten minutes ago," he replied and flopped down on my bed.

I sat down cris-crossed, resting my back against the head board of my bed.

"But my parents aren't even supposed to arrive for a few more days," I said confused.

"I found the extra key in the little pot thing," he replied with a shrug.

I rolled my eyes and breathed out heavily, not believing that he was actually here. I thought he was going to spend the day with his Mum and not with me.

"So what are we gonna do?" he asked and I looked at him, my eyebrows furrowed.

"Um, I was planned to go swimming with my friends," I replied and he arched one eyebrow at me. "You could come with us or the both of us do something else."

"Oh, no! I want to meet these friends of yours," he replied with a devious smirk.

I rolled my eyes and breathed out heavily. This should be an interesting day. The group had decided to go swimming but instead of actually going to the beach or a pool, they wanted to do cliff jumping at that place that we went to when we played truth or dare. Harry was bringing a girl with him and Jesy was coming so I wasn't going to be left alone with the girl he was bringing.

I pulled my hair into a pony tail and slung my beach bag across my shoulder and went downstairs, where Seth was.

"Who lives next door?" he asked munching on his sandwich.

"Uh, which side?"

"Left."

"The Malik's," I replied and rummaged through the fridge to find a bottle of water.

I heard him choke then cough and clearing his throat. "The what?"

"Malik's."

"What?"

I rolled my eyes and gave him the 'Are You Serious' look.

"Our grandma was a Malik, Seth! What's the big deal!?"

"Well for starters, you hate them," he replied his eyebrows raised.

"Hate is a harsh word and besides, I only know these Malik's and they always treated me nicely and -"

"I'm guessing they have son your age."

"Yes and he's-"

"Your friend."

"Stop continuing my sentences!" I replied starting to get annoyed.

"It's the truth! Mum told me you brought he along with you a few days ago to Leeds," he said and raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah, so?"

He shook his head and chuckled slightly. "Never thought you'd change your mind about a Malik, let alone like one."

"I don't like him!" I said, starting to get defensive.

"Okay, okay chill your tits woman," he said and I rolled my eyes. "Right, well the intercom button rang a few times when you were upstairs but I was too lazy to check who it was."

"Jesus Christ, are you really in the army!?" I asked him sarcastically.

"Yep," he replied, popping the 'p'.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes. I looked around for my phone but then remembered that I still hadn't bought a new one. I felt lost without it and I had to go buy a new one, which I was too lazy to do so.

"Right, let's go," I said and he got off the bar stool and walked towards the door while I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and followed him.

After setting the alarm and locking the door behind us, we walked down the driveway and noticed figures outside the gate.  I could practically hear Niall screaming from my front door. I rolled my eyes and skipped down the drive way and opened the gate and everyone turned to look at me.

"About time!" Niall exclaimed. "They wouldn't let me eat until you came and I'm hungry and-"

Jesy cut him off by shoving a cookie in his mouth. "Jesus you're annoying."

"Yet, you love me!" he said while munching on the cookie and shoving another one in his mouth.

I shook my head and chuckled. I turned around to see if Seth was behind me and saw that he was eyeing all of them curiously, then his eyes landed on someone and he arched his eyebrow upwards. I turned around and met a pair of tired, chocolate brown eyes which were eyeing me curiously, then his eyes flicked onto Seth and I noticed him gulp down nervously. I smirked and stopped myself from laughing.

"Right, well let's going! It's a long drive!" Louis said and we all somehow squeezed into his car, Jesy, Niall and I sat in the boot of the car with the bags surrounding us, Harry in the passenger seat and Zayn, Liam and Seth in the back seat.

"So you jumped from up here?" Seth asked me, looking downwards while trailing his tongue across his front teeth.

"I prefer the term forced," I replied while shooting a glare towards the boys.

They smirked and prepared to jump off.

"Okay! Who's going first? Ladies?" Harry suggested, turning to look at Jesy and I.

"How about no?" I replied and he shrugged.

"Right, I'll go first," Seth said, rubbing his hands together. "Who's jumping with me?"

"I'll jump," Liam said and positioned himself a few steps away from the edge.

Seth walked next to him and within a few seconds, they jumped and after a few seconds, we heard the splashes. Next where Louis and Harry and after them Niall and Jesy jumped hand in hand which left Zayn and I alone.

After hearing Jesy screaming her head off and then two splashes, I peeped downwards and waited until both of their heads popped from the surface and swam on the other side of the lake where there was a waterfall and a few rocks on the side, where the rest of the group were sat.

I let out a shaky breath and turned around. Zayn was looking at me and when he noticed I was looking at him, he looked up and smiled sheepishly. I rolled my eyes and walked on the spot where Jesy was standing on. Zayn walked next to me and stretched his arms upwards. I ran a hand through my loose hair and let out a silent groan.

"Scared?" he asked and I shook my head.

"Nervous," I corrected him and he nodded his head. "You?"

"Nope."

I nodded and bit my bottom lip, my heart was racing and adrenaline was pumping through my veins.

"Don't bite your lip," Zayn said, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked confused, turning to look at him.

When I turned around he lifted his thumb and placed it on my bottom lip, pulling it away from my teeth. My breath slightly hitched in my throat when I noticed that he had stepped forwards and  therefore, our bodies were closer, too close to be exact. His thumb slightly lingered on my bottom lip, his eyes flickering downwards and studied my lips for a few short seconds. We were pulled out of the trance by having our names shouted from somewhere distant. I had this urge to close the distant between us but instead, I stepped backwards and looked away from him before I turned into a tomato.

"Let's just get this over with," I mumbled and without waiting for him to reply, I ran forwards and jumped.

I didn't even scream but instead kept on replaying what happened with Zayn. After a few seconds, I felt myself being enveloped in the water and drowning deep. I didn't even bother going upwards for air but swam towards the waterfall where the rest of the group was. When I felt out of breath, I kept swimming and when I was sure that I was going to die out of breath, I pushed myself upwards and took in a deep breath of fresh air the moment I hit the surface.

A few seconds later, I heard another splash which meant that Zayn had jumped. I climbed up the rock with the help from Seth and sat down next to him. Jesy gave me a curious look but I only shook my head and gave her a look which meant 'I'll Tell You Later'.

This was absolutely confusing and I just wanted to receive my GCSE's results, apply for the college that I want to attend to and leave.

I wanted all of this to be over.

Alrighty then! Hope everyone enjoyed this chapter even though it's quite short :'( But at least you'll have some sort of drama-ish in the next chapter which I'll either post Sunday night or next Monday or else withing a week's time because I have no time at all during next week to post :(
