Chapter 27:

Hazel POV:

The rest of the group tried to cheer me up during the night but I couldn't be cheered up. So Jesy came up with the idea that we watch a film. We decided on the film The Last Song, which in my opinion was awesome but Harry and Zayn disagreed to the film and wanted to watch Unknown instead but since I didn't have that film, we watched The Last Song.

We all stayed in the basement were I had this movie projector thing that we had back in Leeds. It wasn't even yet set up and there wasn't any sofa bed for all of us to lay down on, so basically we spent a whole hour finding pillows and two king sized foam beds somewhere in the depths of my basement.

The good thing was that I had sort of cheered up a bit.

"Where do you even plug this shit?" Louis asked and I walked towards him and grabbed the projector in my hands and turned it round to see where.

I looked at the plug in his hands and looked at the projector for a similar one.

"I think it's this one," I replied and he plugged it in and I helped him do the rest of the wires and then we propped it up on a stack of books on a table and we all laid down on the foam beds and the movie started.

I was between Harry and Zayn, my head propped up on a huge pillow.

"This is boring," Harry commented.

"The movie hasn't even begun!" Jesy replied in astonishment.

"It's still boring!"

"Shut up and watch the film, Styles," Jesy replied and he huffed and crossed his arms on his chest and pouted. I smiled and turned my attention back to the film.

**

"BUT HE CAN'T DIE!" Harry yelled at the wall in front of him that was projecting the film. "No! What the hell!?"

"I thought you didn't want to see the film," I commented with a smirk on my face while filling my mouth with a handful of popcorn and munching on it.

Harry turned his head towards me and pointed a finger in my direction. "Don't you be all sassy with me, young lady. I did not know it was like this!"

"Then what did you expect it to be?" Jesy asked him with a chuckle.

"I don't know!"

I smiled and looked back at the film and noticed that it had ended. I breathed out heavily and turned on my left side and breathed out heavily. Zayn, which was on my left side, had slept half way through the film. I stared at his perfect features and felt like trailing my fingers across his jaw line but decided against it.

"Are you guys gonna stay over?" I asked, turning back round to look at the rest of the group.

Niall was already asleep on Jesy's shoulder, Liam trying to reason something out with Louis and Harry still staring at the wall in front of him that was projecting the film in awe and anger.

"Well Niall and Zayn are already asleep," Jesy replied and yawned. "My mum won't mind."

"What about you three?" I asked Louis, Harry and Liam.

"Yeah," Louis replied and Harry nodded.

"As long as no one tries to draw anything on my face, I'm staying," Liam replied  and I rolled my eyes.

I nodded and turned back on my left side and closed my eyes, suddenly feeling the urge to cry but I wasn't going to cry in front of them all. I had already cried in front of Zayn and Harry, I didn't want to embarrass myself even more. I started thinking of positive things and replayed them over and over again in my mind and let sleep over take me, even though I had just woken up only four hours ago.

Zayn POV:

I took in a sharp intake of breath and quickly sat upright. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the unfamiliar room. I noticed the rest of the group asleep next to me but one was missing. I checked the time from my phone. 9am. Quietly, I got off the foam bed and stood up and headed upstairs.

I checked the kitchen and living room and the dining room but she wasn't there, I also checked the pool area but she wasn't there either. I headed upstairs and didn't bother checking the bathroom because the door was open and it was dark inside so I checked her bedroom.

It was dark too but I quickly noticed the figure curled in a ball on the bed.

"Hazel?"

Her body shifted and her head snapped upwards, looking at me.

"Don't do that! You gave me a fright!" she protested and I smiled and walked towards her.

I sat down on her bed, cris crossing my legs and looked at her. She stared back at me and the sparkle in her eyes told me that she had been crying.

"Why are you up here?" I asked her curiously.

"Couldn't sleep down there."

I nodded and silence fell between us.

"What did Chase tell you?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"His explanation to everything."

"Which is?"

She shrugged and breathed out heavily. She started explaining Chase's choice of doing and by the end of the explanation, all I wanted to do was kill Sophia and Chase. Why would Sophia even do something like that? Was she actually that mental to hurt Hazel? This all started out when I made the move on Hazel back at Harry's party which was five months ago!

"I'm sorry," I said and hugged her.

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything."

"Well not technically," I replied and she looked up at me and gave me a confused look. "This all started when I kissed you, remember?"

She looked away and bit her lip. I breathed out and let her go and sat up properly on the bed. She looked up and I studied her face but she wasn't showing any of her emotions.

"We better wake up the others," she mumbled and got off the bed. "I soon have to go."

"What? Where are you going?" I asked her, confused and curious.

"Leeds," she replied and I furrowed my eyebrows together.

"Leeds? Why?"

"I have to go pick up things from my grandparents house because my grandpa's selling it."

"Why?"

"Health conditions."

I nodded and followed her out of her room and we went downstairs and in the basement. After waking them all up and putting everything back in their places, we all headed upstairs and headed towards the kitchen and took some breakfast.

Hazel POV:

Two hours after we woke up, the group left my house after asking me multiple times if I was okay and I always gave them the same answer.

"I'm fine."

But in reality, I think they knew that I wasn't but I didn't want them to stay worrying on me. When everyone left I closed the door shut and breathed out heavily. I looked at the time from the clock in the entrance hall.

Noon.

I breathed out heavily and slowly headed upstairs and took a shower before heading towards my bedroom with a towel draped around me. I walk in my closet and choose a pair jean shorts and a white jumper with the words 'Cool Kids Don't Dance' printed in black ink on the front of it and slipped into my black military boots. I brushed my hair and pulled it into a pony tail and applied some foundation to my face and beneath my eyes to hide the bags beneath my eyes, then applied some mascara to give some more sparkle to my blue eyes.

I breathed out heavily, stuffed some money in my shorts pocket and searched for my phone but then I saw it broken on my desk and remembered that my mum had called me from the telephone. I breathed out and took one last glance in the mirror in my bedroom and turned around but stopped half way when I noticed Zayn on the other side.

He wasn't looking at me, for once. He had his back to me. He was sat at his desk, shirtless may I add, probably drawing something with the way his hand was running around the paper. I tilted my head sideways and bit my bottom lip.

Just ask him Hazel! Stop being an idiot. Just do it!

I sighed and walked towards my window, pulled the window up and called his name out since his window was already open.

"Zayn."

His head swooped around and our eyes instantly met. He squinted his eyes for a tiny second then fully turned around and stood up. He walked towards the window and kneeled down and looked back at me.

"What's up?"

"Do you have anything to do?"

"No, why?"

"Do you mind coming with me to Leeds? It's just for the day and we'll catch the train at around 7 in the afternoon."

"Uh, I think I can come," he replied and stood up. "Lemme ask my mum."

I nodded and waited for him to return while he went downstairs to ask his mum. After around five minutes he returned with a smile.

"Give me five minutes and I'll be near the gate," he replied and I nodded and stood up.

I closed the window and left my bedroom and walked downstairs. I took the keys from the key hanger next to the door, set the alarm and locked the door behind me. I went down the driveway and closed the gate behind me. I waited for Zayn to come and when he did, we started walking the ten minute walk to the train station.

"So why exactly are we going to Leeds?" he asked as we continued walking towards the train station.

I smiled sadly and breathed out. "My parents went to visit my grandpa yesterday because they got a call from the hospital in Leeds and told them that my grandpa was in hospital due to health issues. Then this morning my mum called me telling me to go to Leeds and take my things from my grandparents house because they're selling the house."

"They're selling your grandparents house? What? Why?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"My grandpa is in no good, healthy-ish state to take care of himself, let alone the huge house alone. He's going to be living in a private day and night care centre close to where my aunt lives."

"Oh," he said and scratched his head as we entered the train station and got our tickets and found the train that was heading towards Leeds. "So I'm going to enter an Anderson house, right?"

I didn't reply right away because I hadn't thought about that. A Malik in an Anderson house? Is this history or what? But then I remembered that my grandma was indeed herself a Malik but that was probably before the rivalry between both families started.

"Yeah, I guess so."
