You are going to face a lot of payment issues especially when the top authority do not work on it fast. These issues are mostly to buy textbooks/handouts or paying a certain amount if money to get A/B/C.
Sometimes, you are left with no option but to pay because some lecturers are after the money. It is a shame but that is the reality.
Some after telling you to pay and you refuse, they fail you no matter how religiously you answer their examination questions which is very terrible because you are depriving someone of his right.
There is also the issue of lecturers not passing students naturally because nobody can score distinction in their course only. They say the A(distinction) is for them alone.
Can you imagine?
After spending sleepless nights reading your course and answering all questions rightly, you place a B for me because nobody gets. An A in your course. How cruel of you.
This act needs to stop. Everyone deserves what he/she deserves. If a student gets an A, rightly accord such student with his/her mark. If you hoard the mark, are you going to live long? Is the federal government going to give you award? Is your bank account going to triple? Are you going to enter heaven with it? Then do the rightful.
That is why some students prefer private universities or schooling abroad. In other schools, you get first class students in good numbers but down here, you get only one in a set or none at all.
Doesn't that call for attention? It is worrisome that it only means that in all the students that you admitted into your school, after lecturing them all for certain number of years, only one person out of all of the students in that set have a first class.
Some faculties even have a law in which only after five years do they grant a first class to a student no matter how excellent your grades are.
And you see the lecturers in that faculty proudly saying it.
Hello Mr Lecturer! It means you can not lecture/you are the problem.
There are lots of students that have graduated who are first class material but been denied of their right. Their departments deliberately lower their marks and make efforts worthless.
We deserve our effort.
