Congratulations...
You have gotten admission to either the university of your choice or not. Well, as the journey continues, you will see that the university choice doesn't really matter. You will see how irrelevant it will be.
Just make the best of any situation you find yourself. I have said it severally, even if I am about to fall from a staircase, I put on a glamorous look and make it look stylish. That's the goal.
Back to reality.
Schooling in Nigeria except for Private universities which I haven't researched on, registration process is like applying to get into...(insert difficult situations).
What you have to do is make sure you wake up early enough to get to the school.
Dress casually. Do not dress to kill because believe me, you might end up getting only one document signed and that is after standing for 4 hours. Do not try wearing heels. Just be comfy and dressy. As for guys, do not wear suit. It is just a signature for crying out loud.
Make sure your file is complete. Have all the necessary documents. Photocopy them and have the original copies too. Make sure they are neatly arranged for your benefit.
Do not act too newbie. I don't know how to not act like a newbie but just try to be confident in whatever you are doing or wherever you are going to.
Ask questions. Politely ask where the administrative block/library/cafeteria is.
Ask a serious and friendly 200/300/400/500 level student of the school registration processes.
Asking them especially when they turn out to be in same department or faculty with you is easier. They might have a connection or know the lecturer which is gonna make signing easy for you.
Your mates might complain but don't give a hoot about it. They are just jealous and wish they are in your shoes.
