Chapter 7 of 8

Kissing strangers

Shower Girl2,285 words~12 min read

The walk to her dorm was perfect, which surprised Sarah. She was sure it would be a little weird since they didn't really know too much about each other or their hobbies. Alex made it easy though.

The athlete immediately started asking questions about her and Nora and their biology project. He talked about his friend group and his interests. Sarah told him about using Isaac's music for one of her upcoming dance performances. All in all, it was a nice walk.

It didn't get awkward until they reached Sarah's dorm.

Sarah unlocked the door, inviting Alex to come in and put her school bag down next to her desk. Then they just stood there, a little nervously, not sure what to do or say.

"So umm, thanks for walking me, Alex." Sarah was looking everywhere but at the track star.

"Yeah no problem Shower Girl, it was nice," he replied, still not moving from the middle of the room.

"So-" Sarah started before she was interrupted.

"Oh! Before I forget, I've got a track meet coming up this weekend, it's qualifiers for regional." Sarah had no idea what that meant so she just looked up at the taller boy, enjoying his nervous state. "I wanted to know if maybe you um, want to come? I think it would be cool." He asked as he shyly rubbed the back of his neck.

Sarah thought it was absolutely adorable.

"Yeah sure, it sounds like it could be fun."

Sarah's smile seemed to give Alex a boost of confidence.

"Also, I'm sure you'd love to see me without a shirt on." He winked at her.

A cocky jock was not something Sarah ever thought she'd be attracted to but as Alex stood in front of her with that annoying smirk on his face, she loved it. Her own confidence was boosted as well.

"Am I that obvious?" She asked, keeping her voice low as she took a step toward him.

The smirk was gone in an instant, replaced by a blank look. There was a tell-tale blush on his cheeks, though.

Oh, this could be fun. Sarah thought to herself.

"Do you blame me though?" Sarah's voice was just a whisper as she reached out and ran both her hands up Alex's arms to his muscled triceps. She felt them flex under her fingertips. Alex was enjoying this.

She took another step closer, pressing her chest to Alex's. "I mean, there's so much muscle here." She squeezed the muscles in his arms before moving up to his shoulders and across to place her hands on Alex's chest. She looked up to meet his eyes, which were staring back at her lustfully.

"I-" Alex started before he was pushed back onto the bed behind him. He fell down onto it with a huff that quickly turned into a moan as Sarah climbed on top of him, straddling his lap.

She smiled down at the look of surprise and excitement on Alex's face as she leaned over him. Alex's hands immediately went to her hips, and it was glorious. They were so big and warm.

"Isn't this what you wanted?" Sarah asked coyly.

Alex's mouth was just opening and closing, no sound coming out. His brain had yet to catch up with the situation.

"You're so cute Alex," Sarah giggled.

She put her weight on her left arm as she reached the other down to grab Alex's hand, linking their fingers together. As she lifted their joined hands above Alex's head, she leaned down to nip at his chin.

"I just want to eat you up." She smiled as Alex just stared at her with heavy-lidded eyes.

"Do you know what I want to do more than that, though?" She asked, not letting Alex reply before she was locking his wrist into the handcuffs attached to the headboard.

The cold metal and the sound of them locking shut had Alex whipping his head up to look at his wrist.

"Why-" He started to ask but was cut off when Sarah bit his chin a bit harder this time. Sarah then slowly slid down Alex's body toward the side of the bed.

"Why do you have handcuffs?"

Sarah stood up from the bed before answering. She couldn't help but glance down at the tent in Alex's pants. Oh, this is very fun.

She gave Alex an innocent look before saying "Oh, those aren't mine. That's my roommate's bed, and this is my insurance." She grinned as Alex began to struggle on the bed, trying to get his wrist out. He groaned in frustration.

"As I was saying, what I want most, is to go shower in peace. So be a good boy and lock the door if you get out of those before I get back."

Alex's body stilled at her words.

"Wha- what? Where are you going?!?"

Sarah giggled again at the look on Alex's face. There was no anger in his voice or his expression, Sarah was expecting it but Alex seemed to be more intrigued than anything.

"I told you, I'm going to shower. I needed to make sure you don't interrupt me. The key is in the top drawer of that desk, but if you're not up for the challenge, my roommate will be here soon." She winked, blowing Alex a kiss before she grabbed her duffle bag with her shower stuff and left the room.

"SHOWER GIRL!!!"

She broke out in a grin as she heard Alex calling after her.

First, came the laughter. Alex still couldn't wrap his head around what Shower Girl had done, nor the way she went about it.

Second, came the curiosity. He took his time looking around the room to take in the decor. He could tell which stuff belonged to his shower girl and what belonged to the roommate. Shower girl's stuff was all neat and organized but in a chaotic kind of way. Like only she would know exactly where everything was placed. There were copies of famous paintings on this side of the room, pointing to the fact that the roommate was most likely an art major.

Next, came the struggle. He tried his best to get the drawer open with his foot, to no avail.

Then, came the confusion. What did this mean? Why would Shower Girl joke with him like this? Alex knew he had a crush on the redhead but he had no clue about the girl's feelings.

Finally, came the roommate. Alex screamed a bit too loud when the door suddenly opened.

"OH MY GOD!" the roommate yelled when she caught sight of Alex on her bed. She took in Alex's shocked and somewhat scared facial expression for a moment before she started laughing.

"You must be the track star?" She asked as she fully came into the room, shutting the door behind her.

"Umm yeah, Alex. Nice to meet you..." He trailed off.

"Jasmine," She went to her desk drawer and pulled the key out. It was exactly where Shower girl had said it would be.

"I thought she was joking," Jasmine said to herself as she handed Alex the key.

After undoing the cuffs, he sat up on the bed and rubbed his sore wrist.

"I'm not going to ask why you have handcuffs," Alex said with a friendly smile.

It made Jasmine laugh again. "I think that's best," she replied with a wink.

"I assume she's told you about me and there's no point in me trying to get you to tell me her name?" Alex asked as he stood up from the bed.

"Yeah, I'm loyal to my roommate, also I'm getting a kick out of this whole thing." Jasmine gave him a charming smile.

"Well, that's to be expected, I guess. Can I ask another question then?" He grabbed his gym bag from the floor where he had dropped it next to Shower Girl's school bag.

"Sure," Jasmine answered before putting her stuff down next to her desk. She then turned back to Alex, giving him her full attention.

Alex was nervous again and rubbed the back of his neck anxiously. "What does... I mean." He cut himself off to take a deep breath, giving his mind a moment to formulate the question he wanted to ask.

"What has she told you about me?" He looked up to see a knowing smile on Jasmine's face.

Jasmine was enjoying the obvious nervousness from the track star, who was popular around campus for being a confident jock. That's why she decided instantly to take it easy on the poor boy. She sat on top of her computer desk, keeping the smile on her face.

"You want to know if she likes you?" Jasmine asked, getting straight to the point.

"Umm, well I mean-" Alex isn't sure what to say. He's also not sure if Jasmine was just that good at reading people or if his feelings were that obvious, neither calmed his nerves.

"Well, I can tell you she doesn't 'not' like you. Which means something since she hasn't had the best experience with jocks. From my perspective, she talks about you a bit too frequently for it to be considered anything other than a crush, although she won't admit it."

Alex can feel himself blushing, unable to meet Jasmine's eyes.

"I can also tell you this," Jasmine knew Sarah will probably kill her for this but, she just wanted her friend to be happy. "Whatever you're doing, it's working. So if you really are interested in her, keep it up. If you're not interested in her, and this is all just some game to you, I just want you to know; I know where you sleep." Jasmine smirked when the athlete whipped his head up to meet her eyes.

"I-" Alex started. Damn, the roommate was intimidating. "I do like her, a lot."

"You don't even know her name," Jasmine said, testing him.

"I don't need to know her name to know that she's talented, passionate, funny, beautiful, caring, and sexy as hell," Alex said, feeling confident again. He knew what he wanted. Or in this case, who he wanted.

Jasmine couldn't help but laugh. "Well go get 'em, tiger!"

Sarah had never run that fast in her life. She knew it wouldn't take long for Jasmine to get back to the dorm, especially after Sarah had texted her telling her that there was a track star handcuffed to her bed. Sarah giggled out loud. She could just imagine the look on Jasmine's face when she saw Alex.

She recalled what Alex had looked like on the bed. He had looked good laid out underneath her. His hair had been all messy and Sarah just wanted to run her hands through it. His eyes had been hazy, Sarah felt her body heat up suddenly and it had nothing to do with the hot water coming from the showerhead she has standing under. She remembered the way Alex's hands had felt on her hips. A shiver traveled down her spine.

Sarah shook her head to clear the images. She didn't have time to get turned on right now, she was sure Alex would be on his way here as soon as he was free. The thought had Sarah hurrying through the rest of her shower, she wanted to be fully dressed by the time Alex showed up, for her own protection.

Alex jogged the whole way to the old athletic building, which wasn't anything out of the ordinary for the track runner.

He threw open the locker room door, immediately heading towards the showers. There was music playing but the water was no longer running. Alex cursed himself for taking so long. He couldn't regret it though, as his conversation with Jasmine had been very enlightening.

He spotted Shower Girl as she came out from in between two rows of lockers, fully dressed.

"Have a good time in there?" He asked, causing the redhead to let out a small squeak in fear. The scared expression turned to one of joy when she saw who it was.

"Yes actually, I did. Best shower I've had in weeks," she gave Alex a warm smile.

"That's only because you haven't showered with me, yet," Alex smirked as he dropped his bag, moving closer towards his crush, who had yet to move from in front of the lockers. He watched as she blushed the same shade as her hair. Fuck she's cute.

"And to think, it's not even on my to-do list." She smirked.

Alex took a few steps closer, crowding the girl against a row of lockers.

"Oh yeah?" He asked, voice low as he placed his palm on the locker next to Shower Girl's head. She had the prettiest eyes Alex had ever seen. He couldn't help but stare at them as Shower Girl gazed back at him.

"And what exactly is on your to-do list?" He leaned in closer, his breath fanning over the smaller's face.

Shower Girl smiled cutely as she said, "Oh you know, the usual." She lifted her hand between their chests to start ticking off her fingers. "Be cute, be irresistible, be kissable."

"This sounds more like a list of achievements than a to-do list." Alex pressed closer, trapping her small hands between them.

The blush was back on her cheeks as she replied. "The first two maybe, but the last one.." She trailed off as Alex glanced down at her lips. They looked so soft.

"I could help you with that," Alex said, voice low and breathy as he leaned impossibly close until his lips were ghosting over Shower Girl's. "but I don't kiss strangers."
