72 Paternal Drystanâs POV âWho do you think your father I asked her, curious about her answer.
Astrid furrowed her brows, her gaze shifting inward as a thoughtful expression crossed her features.
âMy mother is a pure-blooded omega, and I am too. Most likely, my father could be an omega from a different Pack, or worse, he could be a rogue or a criminal.
This is the reason why I sometimes think it would be best if I never met him at all. I will not know what to feel if I found out that my father is an outlaw with money on his head.â
I chuckled at his farâfetched imagination. âIâm sure your father is not a criminal. You are thinking too much.
âWho knows? Maybe heâs dead.â Astrid retorted.
Suddenly, Astrid stopped in her tracks and faced me with an incredulous look in her eyes. âWait a minute. How did our conversation turn out like this?â
I laughed to minimize her suspicions. âI also donât know, too,â I answered lightheartedly.
âYou are asking too many questions. What is it that you want to know?â Astrid narrowed her gaze at me suspiciously.
âNothing, I was just curious. I figured out weâve known each other for so long, but I knew nothing about your parents.â
âExactly, we knew each other for so long. How come you are asking these questions just now?â Astrid shot back.
Donât worry, Astrid. Iâm not planning to wipe out your whole amily or anything, I gestured to stop her from getting serious.
Astrid scowled at my unfunny joke Itâs okay that she gets mad at me as long as she doesnât question why Iâm asking her too many questions.
Astrid and I fell into silence again as we continued our walk. Astrid was busy breathing the fresh air in and admiring the flowers while my mind was busy thinking about her parents and the bracelet.
Although itâs her grandmother who gave that bracelet to her, itâs possible that the bracelet came from her father or her own mother, but just because they have the Shadowfang Packâs bracelet, it doesnât mean that Astridâs parents are special.
Astridâs mother has been a member of the Silvermoon Pack since birth. Both Astridâs grandparents were born into the Silvermoon Pack.
It is Astridâs father that we are not sure of. It could be that he is also a member of the Silvermoon Pack or a rogue. Only one thing is for sure: Astridâs father is also a pureâblooded omega.
He might be an omega from the Shadowfang Pack or an outlaw, as Astrid had thought, who stole the bracelet from the Shadowfang Pack.
âItâs the bracelet, is it? You are asking me these questions because of it?â My eyes blinked in surprise at Astridâs sudden question.â
âYou told me you will tell me once you find something about the bracelet. What did you find?âAstrid asked, making my mouth run dry.
What do you tonow about the bracelet?â I stammered out 1 need to sensor Fow much of the eth i could tell Her never really thought that this Bracelet was special. I thought It was just a cheap bracelet that grandmother gave me as a . The first time I realized it has real value in it was when Killianâs mother suspected me of stealing it.â
I nodded my head at her words. Tâs a precious bracelet. Astrid â I answered tersely âYou donât think that my grandmother stole it, too, do you?â Astridâs eyes went wide.
âOf course not. Thatâs far from what Iâm thinking. Iâve met your grandmother before. Thereâs no way sheâs a thief.â I assured her.
âI knew it. This must be from my father. Maybe he really stole it from some rich person.
Sheâs really convinced that her father is a bad person. After all, he abandoned her and her mother.
âAstrid, we do not know anything yet. In the meantime, just keep this bracelet safe with you.â I reassured her to ease most of her doubts.
âIâm going to leave now Astrid. I still have work to do,â I told her after checking out the time.
Astrid nodded her head. âJust tell me as soon as you get news, alright?â
I smiled at her. âOf course I will.â

so Caden I went straight to my table looking him.
âWhat did she say? Is she related to the Shadowfang Packâs Alpha or something?â Caden asked as he pressed his palms on my table.
I chuckled at Cadenâs question. âHow could she be an Alphaâs daughter? She doesnât even have a drop of Alpha blood in her,â I answered.
If she had Alpha genes, I would have detected it a long time ago. She was my student, and I trained her. I know her limits, and she is just who she is.
Caden watched curiously as I wrote a letter, placing it inside an envelope. He watched as I melted a bright red wax and poured it onto the envelope in a circle.
Using the stamp that Mason carved for me, I pressed it on the circle wax, leaving behind a mark of mystical sigil.
âWhat is that?â Caden asked as he looked at the wax seal that already hardened.
âI want you to have this letter delivered to the Shadowfang Pack as soon as possible,â I commanded as I handed him the envelope.
Caden looked at me, confused. âWhat? Who even sends letters anymore?â
Mason told me that the only way the Shadowfang Pack would read my message to them was by sending it by letter and using their emblem on the letter. I hope this will work as he had said.
The only way I will have my answer is by hearing Theronâs side of the story, which is the only information I donât have.
