Chapter 954 - Ruler of God’s Palace

At the front of the Death God’s Palace, appeared two figures. One was The Mountain while the other was Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut. They went into an all-out sprint the moment they realized the situation in the palace, trailing behind Li Yi, basking in his reflected glory.

About two minutes later, Li Yi was the first to make it out of the Death God’s Palace, followed by Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut and The Mountain, respectively. She took possession of a Thunder Beast for a mad dash. It was not slow speed-wise but, compared to Li Yi, Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut still had to work hard to keep up.

A giant sword flew out of the Death God’s Palace and upon landing, transformed into Aragon.

Aragon handed over the dimmed Emperor Sword to Li Yi.

“I have activated the last Divine Spell on this sword. Once its powers recover, you’ll be able to use it freely.”

“How long does it take for the sword to recover?”

Aragon fell deep into thought. “The shortest will be half a year, the longest is probably a few years.”

The Mountain and Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut never accepted the Missing Aragon quest so theoretically speaking, they should not be able to see Aragon. However, it was different this time. It was then that Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut entered.

Li Yi was about to take a step in when The Mountain blocked him with his arm. “Brother, let me go in first!”

The Ruler of Gods’ Palace was decked out pretty grand. It was a dazzling line-up of gold, gems, and pearls.

In the main hall, Li Yi saw two familiar faces.

Ghostly Walker and the Weapon Warrior were standing side by side. By the look of it, they had been waiting for some time now.

Right in the center of the Ruler of Gods’ Palace was a grand golden chair. On it sat a gorgeous woman dressed in a golden battle robe and holding a full moon scepter. She was God-queen Carulla.

When Li Yi saw God-queen Carulla in full battle wear, the first thought that crossed his mind was, ‘Fuck me, isn’t that Athena...’

There were only a few people inside the Ruler of Gods’ Palace. With silence filling the room, the place seemed cold and vast.

Where was the Ruler of Gods?

There was only God-queen Carulla on the golden chair. The final big boss, the Ruler of Gods, of King of Pantheon was nowhere to be seen.

“Silence, mortals who have entered. Step aside,” demanded God-queen Carulla.

Although Li Yi was pleased with her changed wardrobe, deep loathing still overcame him the moment Carulla spoke.

There was no use for the change of wardrobe. The God-queen before them was no different than before.

“Lowly demon, this is not a place for you. Scram!”

God-queen Carulla pointed her scepter at Aragon, blasting a crescent-shaped divine radiance that cast Aragon out of the palace.

After a long while, Aragon stood up outside the palace. He smeared the blood on his lips and hesitated for a moment but did not step foot into the Ruler of Gods’ Palace.

The disparity of strength between them was too large. Carulla’s earlier blow turned his max HP to 1. It was plain to see the fate he would suffer if he were to barge in.

“Hi both of you, you guys got here quick. I’m impressed.”

Waving at Ghostly Walker and the Weapon Warrior, The Mountain leaned in shamelessly.

Disrupted by Jiggly, The Mountain finally disengaged his talkative mode and stopped chatting with Ghostly Walker and the Weapon Warrior. He pulled Jiggly and walked towards Li Yi.

“Lil B’s an old brother of mine, he’s been with me longer than Lil Wang.”

Li Yi smiled. “Lil B? Isn’t he called Jiggly?”

“Hehe, He obtained a rare tool to change his name at will when he entered the game. The name you see now isn’t his original name. Lil B, why don’t you reveal your real name to us?”

“A name is only a code name. It doesn’t matter what anyone’s called.” Jiggly gently smiled.

The Mountain smiled and looked around him. “Little Drunk Cat’s really doing well. So many of you have arrived. Hehe, you’re stronger than my former Huashan Sect.”

The Mountain added, “My former Huashan Sect has four great masters. Do you know who they are?”

Li Yi nodded. “I really want to know.”

The Mountain gestured four fingers. “East, South, West, North!”

The Mountain then use another hand to point at Jiggly. “He was one of the great masters in the former Huashan Sect. His real name is BB East[2]!”.
