Seoraâs brows furrowed.
âI hope itâs not some shitty ideas youâve got in your head.â
â Calm down, please. Thereâs a reason, so please donât try to kill me with your voice. I think itâs possible if itâs you.
âThen whatâs the reason?â
â Do you know that Baek Hee-wonâs house is nearby?
Seoraâs eyes widened, and she quickly glanced around. But soon, she sighed and shook her head. âReally? Is it closer than I thought?â
About this. Seora touched her forehead. At that time, she suffered from motion sickness the whole time she rode in Jung Hoyoungâs car, and even when she climbed the mountain, she was carried by Jarim, so she couldnât remember the proper location.
â She wonât be able to stop Rift Dungeon alone, so give her a hand.
âEven if itâs not near her house, I have to take care of appearing dungeons anyway, so why didnât you just tell me to go to Baek Heewonâs house from the start?â
â I thought Baek Heewon would run away if I did.
âWhat? Why?â
â Sheâs⦠uh⦠kind of reluctant to meet you. I think itâs because of the resignation matterâ¦
The murmuring voice turned silent.
â So please lend a hand. And you donât need to worry about this side. Everyoneâs in a good mood, and nothing much is going on yet.
Seora was about to ask about Jaehun but stepped herself in the end. She received the news via text message every meal, so that was enough.
âAlright, hang up now. Iâll call you back when itâs all over.â After hanging up, she shoved her phone into her pocket. âI didnât know Baek Heewon cared about that. Is she sorry she couldnât say anything?â
âWouldnât anyone feel sorry if they couldnât say something nice to the office worker who came to ask if she could resign?â
When Seora remembered that time, she became angry again. Is there really no such thing as resignation in my destiny?!
âI think I can shoot and kill any monsters now.â Seora took out her jacket and gloves from her inventory for the first time in a while and put them on.
âWow, Seora. That is so cool.â Jarim, who had never seen her wearing equipment other than the weapon Hit, salivated while looking at the jacket. Seoraâs nose rose sharply as she had something to brag about.
âRight? Ha, be envious as much as you want. This is a jacket worth 80 billion coins!â
âUgh!â Jarim, who was slowly caressing the sleeve hem, hiccuped. âE-E-E-E-Eighty billions?!â
â80 billion coins. Not Korea won. Coins. It is more expensive in terms of the system bank exchange rate.â
âW-W-Whoa!â
âThis is all thanks to the administrator. Look. These gloves were made by the administrator themself and bestowed upon me.â
[Administrator: (*´â`*)ã]
âUgh! A self-made gloves? Wow, look at the ratings. Itâs S-class!â
âWhat do you think? Isnât it cool? Isnât it amazing?â
âMmhmm! Iâm so jealous!â
[Administrator: ã¾(*´â`)ï¾]n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âHa ha ha ha ha!â
It was a pity that she could rarely brag because she hid her identity, but now all the regrets were gone.
I feel like Iâm getting full attention!
âOh, bragging is so much fun!â
âSeora, I think the administrator is really nice. They love you very much.â
âThatâs right. How nice our Elizabeth is! I canât live without Liza now.â
[Administrator: â(à¹Âºå£Âºà¹)!!]
[Administrator: â(âââ¢âÏââ¢ââ)â]
Now she could boldly say that she was a little used to it.
âMm, itâs true. Baskarâs administrator didnât give the contractor anything like a gift.â
âHuh? Really? I thought everyone was supposed to get them. Donât Entities give things to their contractor in the first place?â
âHmm. Do you consider exchanging stone fragments to communicate with each other as a gift?â
âStone fragmentsâ¦â
[Administrator: êªâêª ]
âI know, rightâ¦? I was also surprisedâ¦â
In the future, I will have to value the administrator more. Seora hugged the administratorâs emoticon and stroked it vigorously.
Liza-ssi, youâre so precious.
[Administrator: ( ภ・Ïï½¥) à¸â¼Â³ââ]
At that time, Seora stopped playing with the administratorâs emoticon and turned her head.
âLooks like the dungeon will appear soon. Get ready.â
She held Hit, which converted into a sniper rifle, in her hand, and Jarim also pulled out a scythe with two huge blades. It was a weapon made only for counters, but it looked brutal no matter when she saw it.
[Gate is created. Please be prepared for danger.]
[Gate creation is complete.]
[Location â halfway up Mount Taebaek gets caught up in a rift dungeon!]
The space where Seora and Jarim stood began to distort. A slight dizziness occurred, and the surroundings were already dungeon when they regained their senses.
Surprised by the damp, nasty smell that stung her nostrils, Seora pinched her nose.
âOh, of all things.â
[The Awakened âYoon Seoraâ has entered the Level 3 dungeon âSpiderweb Swampâ.]
The atmosphere of Mount Taebek, which had been dyed with colorful leaves in the fall, had disappeared, and a gloomy swampy area had spread out.
And that wasnât the only thing.
âIt is poisonous.â
Poison from the swamps and trees hung thickly in the air.
[Poison detected. Activates skill Poison Resistance (S-class). Blocks all poisons below S-class.]
Right. I received a skill as a reward for clearing a Level 2 dungeon. Thanks to this, thereâs no need to wear cumbersome gas masks.
âSung Jarim, are you okay?â
âI have poison resistance. I got it when wandering in Baskar.â
âThatâs a relief. Will Baek Heewon be okay?â
âWe have to find her first. But the problem is, can we walk around?â
Except for the land they were stepping on, it was almost all swamp. It was impossible to walk around without falling into the swamp, no matter how small their number was.
âSung Jarim, you also have a âreturneeâ to your name. Do you have any related skills or titles? Like making rocks or something like that?â
âMy specialty is destroying the ore family, not creating them.â
âI never thought Iâd miss Mage-ssi.â
If Kang Sejun had been there, he would have made a foothold like in the Magic Stone Cave. Seora realized how convenient a mage that could use all attributes was.
âAh, thereâs nothing we can do, then. I have to use my abilities.â
âSeoraseora, did you sigh heavily in front of me, knowing how to do it?â
Seora pretended not to hear Jarimâs complaint and turned away.
âWhich side is Baek Heewonâs house on?â
âThere?â
âAlright. Skill activation. Field Deployment.â
[Activate the skill âField Controlâ!]
[Zone setting complete. Temporarily takes control of the specified field!]
âUh, wasnât that for an attack?â
âIt depends on the designation.â
The designated location this time was the swampâs surface, so a long red cube lay over the swamp.
âIt can also be applied in this way.â
Seora, who stood on top of the cube, gestured, and Ja-rim climbed up with her. Thanks to the solid cube, they could move forward comfortably without dipping a single foot in the swamp.
âSeoraseora, I feel great because it feels like Iâm walking on the red carpet.â
âThink itâs all thanks to me. It doesnât take a lot of mana to just keep one without using it as an attack.â
The uses of the red cube were more endless than she thought. It was said that there was a high probability that oneâs skill would be related to the contracted Entity, so this could be said to be given by the administrator.
Seora gently stroked her glove, another thing the administrator had given.
âI hear something,â Jarim whispered. As she said, there was a dull noise coming from beyond with the sound of words.
âIt sounds like a fight.â
The two of them ran straight ahead without delay. It was at the same time that the monsterâs attack began.
âJump!â
As soon as they jumped into the air together, Seora released the red cube. The identity of their attacker was none other than the vines wrapped around the tree.
âIs the monster a tree?â Jarim frowned as she swung her scythe and cut the vines.
âWhat the-? Itâs very sticky. I donât think this is a tree vine.â
âSticky? Come to think of it, wasnât the name of the dungeon Spiderweb Swamp? Then, is this a spiderweb?â
âOh, I guess thatâs right. Look at that.â Inside the forest Jarim pointed out, monsters the size of rocks were clustered together. The spider-like monster had eight legs, sharp claws on its jaws, and what was pulled from the end of its butt was not a thin thread but a thick rope-like spiderweb.
âEven if theyâre monsters, isnât this too much?â
Fortunately, there was land in the forest where the spiders were, and the two landed on it. While Sung Jarim was killing the spiders, Seora deployed a giant cube.
âBaek Heewon is over there.â
The red cube quickly noticed the presence of something other than a monster and conveyed it to the owner.
When Seora released the cube again, Jarim took the lead.
âCover me.â
A huge scythe cut the spiderwebs entwined in all directions, and Seoraâs gun shot at the spiders. As they moved forward, something like a scream began to be heard more and more clearly.
âArgh! Get lost! Get lost! Get lost you all! Not at my houseeeeeeee! Thatâs a really expensive houseeeeee! Defense! Defense! Defense! Aaaaaagh I donât have enough mana! No! My house! My houseeee!â
ââ¦â
It wasnât a scream out of fear. It was a bloody curse from someone who was trying to save her collapsing house.
[T/N: Hello, everyone. Iâd like to thank you for your support so far. ^_^
I donât know if anyone knows this, but this novel is my first try at this genre, sp you will most certainly find some errors or inconsistencies due to my inexperience. I apologize for that.
I just recently discovered that, apparently, regressors and returnees are different. It confused me a bit because theyâre often translated as either both regressors or returnees, so I thought it wouldnât be a problem to use only one term. Still, it seems that Kang Sejun is supposedly called a regressor, while Sung Jarim a returnee.
I didnât expect this novel to have so many things Iâd have to take notes of, like the precise lines when using skills, getting items, killing the boss mob, and more stuff like that. And as much as Iâve re-edited the earlier chapters, it just isnât possible anymore after weâre 60 chapters in ð¤£
I keep notes of most of the terms and lines. Still, on the rare occasions you notice any inconsistencies, please turn a blind eye to it⦠and just enjoy the story as it is⦠Iâd thank you a lot for it ð¤£]
