Chapter 797 She Will Not Let Go of Neera Even If She Dies
During the course of the meal, Neera managed to find out about some information through their
conversation.
It turns out that Avery had some business in Essley, and have had a longstanding business relationship with the Gordon family.
As for the rest that the man didnât mention, she didnât ask in detail.
Avery had been very pleasant and gentle over dinner. The atmosphere was quite pleasant.
After the meal, he handed her his own name card.
âThis is my personal number, Ms. Garcia. Feel free to let me know if you need any other help from
me.â
He then gave her the address of the hospital that Thora was in.
Neera took the information and expressed her thanks once again. She then left with Zephyr.
On the way home, Zephyr looked into the rearview mirror a few times. He wanted to speak but stopped himself.
Before he could speak, Neera was the one who asked him first.
âWho is that Avery Cox anyways? Is he part of some Bartitsu family just like Uncle Chad?â
Zephyr hesitated for a bit, and then admitted: âYes, the Cox family is also a hermit family. One of
the Bartitsu families as well. And Avery is the leader of this generation of the family.â, Neera nodded her head in comprehension. She looked out of the car window, and murmured: âNo
wonder, I had a feeling that he wasnât just some random guy. He was even one step ahead of you to get Thora back from the Shadow Clan. Heâs definitely no ordinary guy.â
Even though he seemed elegant and poised during dinner, she had feeling that there was
something underneath his friendly demeanor, like a sense of shrewd calculation of sorts.
He didnât look like a humble gentleman, but a scheming fox.
Zephyr didnât reply her, which was his acquiescence.
Neera didnât ask any more questions. She just stared at the night view outside. Then, she thought of giving her mentor a call.
â
âI found Thora, Mr. Hanson. Sheâs in the hospital that Mrs. Hanson and you are, in ward 1307.â
Obadiah was having dinner with Marie. He was elated to hear the news.
âThank you so much, Neera. I really appreciate it.â
After expressing his gratitude, he put down the phone. Both he and Marie lost their appetite from
excitement and went to ward 1307 to see Thora hurriedly.
Thora only regained consciousness around nine oâclock at night.
Seeing that her parents were by her side, her tears fell like rain, and cried loudly in Marieâs arms.
âMom, youâve finally found me. I really thought that I wouldnât see you ever again in this lifetimeâ¦â
Marie was heartbroken, and burst into tears as she patted Thoraâs back lightly, consoling her as she
sobbed.
âWhat nonsense are you talking about, you silly little thing. Isnât this good? You here, safe with us.â
She wiped her tears, and continued. âThank g od for Neera for finding you. Otherwise, we would still be anxious as hell, not knowing where you are. Please donât be so stubborn next time, okay? Youâre already grown, and you still want to run away from home. Why canât you be a bit smarter
and mature like Neera?â
As soon as Thora heard her nemesisâs name, her crying and wailing suddenly stopped, and changed.
into a rage as she pushed her mother away aggressively.
âWhat do you mean âthank g od for herâ?â I wouldnât end up so miserable if it werenât for her! And youâre still saying good things about her?â
She was like a porcupine, full of barbs of resentment and dissatisfaction.
Obadiahâs eyebrows frowned as soon as he saw her reaction.
âWhy do you hate Neera so much? When youâve cured other badly and almost killed them, it was Neera who took care of it for you. Not only did you not thank her, but youâre still acting so stubborn?
This matter has already passed and Neera hasnât mentioned it for a long time already, so why are you still yapping on about it? Neera did it for your own good!â
Thora didnât buy any of his words, and sneered eerily instead.
âFor my own good? Thatâs funny, because I think she rather see me dead instead!â
âYou-â
Obadiahâs frown became tighter. âYou stu pid thing! How can you not distinguish between good and
bad?â
Thora then exploded into a rage, and swept everything from the bedside table onto the floor.
âEnough! I donât want to hear about that b*tchâs name anymore! Donât just keep praising her all the
time in front of me! Iâm the one who is our actual daughter!â
Obadiah was startled. His face didnât look too great.
Marie had no choice but to dissuade him.
âAlright, alright. It wasnât easy to find our daughter again, so why donât you stop picking a fight with
her?â
Obadiah had no choice but to give up and walked out of the ward.
Thora saw how her father reacted and gritted her teeth so hard that they might cr ack from the
force, her fingers tightly grasping the hospital quilt.
Even though she didnât know how she got back to her parents, she would not give any thanks to Neera even if she really was the one who had saved her!
If it werenât for that b*tch, she wouldnât have to go through such terrifying things!
She will not let go of Neera even if she dies!
