Chapter 795 They Donât Sound Like A Good Person As soon as the words fell, Jeanâs eyebrows raised, not in surprise, but in interest. âOne single person tackled the stronghold?â
Storm nodded and opened his balled fist. There was a bullet on his palm.
âThis was retrieved from the body of a Shadow Clan member.â
Jean took the bullet and looked at it with narrowed eyes.
âIf I recall correctly, theyâve stopped manufacturing these kinds of bullets many years ago.
Storm nodded. âYes indeed, it was at least ten years ago.â
of A neutral chuckle came out mouth. âIt seems like this person is really something else, huh.â
Storm thought so too.
He hesitated a while, and continued. âI suspect that Zephyr knows who they are, but heâs not telling us.â
Jean lifted his eyelids and looked at him. âWhy do you say that?â
âI saw that his expression looked a little strange as soon as he saw the bullet. Maybe I was overthinking it, but thereâs also a possibility that he has some clues.â
Jean didnât seem to mind though.
âHeâs a hitman on the Hades Ranking. Iâm sure he knew much of it. Plus, this person had such clean and precise moves to kill people with just one shot. Iâm afraid that the killer has something to do with the Hades Ranking. Go find out about the model of this bullet. Itâs illegal on the market, so it can only be accessed through special channels. Iâm guessing that thereâs not many of those in the world.â.
âYes sir, Iâll get on it.â Storm instantaneously nodded and accepted the order.
In the ANXIN Group office, Zephyr had also returned.
Neera saw his arrival, and asked about Thoraâs whereabouts immediately.
Zephyr suppressed his clouded thoughts and shook his head. âIâm sorry, Ms. Garcia. We still havenât found her yet.â
He wasnât telling the truth.
He was actually quite sure of who had taken Thora away.
It was someone from the Cox family!
However, he was unsure what business they had with her.
Before he could figure it out, he wanted to keep it a secret from Neera, in case it brought her any more troubles.
âIs that soâ¦â
Neera murmured and nodded. She looked a bit disappointed, but didnât say Maybe the members of the Shadow Clan werenât idle people.
âItâs alright, youâve worked hard.â
much.
She continued lightly: âI need your help to continue looking for her. We need to find her no matter if sheâs dead or alive.â
Zephyr nodded his head expressionlessly. âYes, maâam.â
Later, at four in the afternoon, Neera had finished her work in the office, and prepared to head home early to spend time with Jean and her children.
Then, Neil/walked in and said: âMs. Garcia, the reception downstairs just received a letter for you. They wanted you to open it personally.â
âWho sent it?â Neera asked.
Neil shook his head. âIâm not sure, but it wrote âSatanâ on the cover.â
As soon as he said that, he continued disdainfully: âWho even such a name? They donât sound like a good person to me.â
Neera laughed. âItâs just a name. Let me see.â
She took the letter and opened it. There was an invitation card within it.
The invitation looked pretty formal. It was black with a gold embellishment on its edges. Even the words were embossed in gold.
It looked quite lavish. It probably signified that the sender was of high status.
âDear Ms. Garcia, I sincerely invite you to dinner at the rooftop restaurant of the Grand Palace International Hotel. I hope you can honor your appointment.â
The signature was on the name of the envelope, Satan.
Afraid that she wonât accept the invitation, the person even stated that they were very close with Chad Gordon in the letter.
Neera was quite shocked.
Who is this person who was close with Chad?
How did they know of her existence, and even invited her to have dinner with them?
Neil took a few glances at the invitation and frowned. He felt that they were probably a scammer.
âI still think itâs best if you donât go, Ms. Garcia. You havenât even heard of them before, and theyâre asking you out for dinner? Who knows what kind of person they are? What if theyâre some kind of evil personâ¦
Neera laughed at him. âYouâre thinking too much.â
She stared at the invitation again. Her eyes flashed slightly, and called for Zephyr.
âDoes Uncle Chad know of anyone named Satan?â
Zephyr was taken aback by the name. âHow did you know of this name?â
Neera handed him the invitation.
He was even more shocked.
He didnât expect that the other party would make the first move. What were they really up to?
As he was trying to make sense of the situation, Neera asked: âIt seems like you do know them?â
Zephyr hesitated. âYes, I do. Mr. Gordon does too.â
Neera then nodded her head slightly. âAlright then, since you guys are acquainted, and theyâve invited me, I have to go then.â/
She had to give face to Uncle Chad, after all.
