Chapter 728 Will He Be Mad?
When Neera entered the hospital ward, Jean was still in a coma. However, she sat by his bedside for a long time.
Her thoughts started to run wild when she took in his attractive features.
How would he react when he woke up and found out I had unilaterally ended our marriage? Would
he be mad at me?
Lost in her thoughts, she sat there for a long time.
He finally woke up when dusk was approaching.
He was weak, without the strength to sit up. All he could manage was to move his eyes. He scanned
around the room, but he didnât see Neera.
Osbert was pouring himself a glass of water. When he turned around, he discovered Jean had
awakened.
He exclaimed joyfully, âYouâre awake! Neera has been accompanying you all day. She just left for
the lab. Give me a minute; Iâll get her for you!â
He set down the glass and hurriedly rushed to the lab.
At this time, Neera was going through some data. When she learned that Jean had awakened, she immediately put her task aside and rushed over.
She entered the ward and saw his eyes open. All of a sudden, her eyes welled up with tears.
âYouâre finally awake,â she said quietly after taking a deep breath.
Jean had been waiting for her. When he saw her, his gaze clung to her, and he let out a weak smile.
Noticing him moving his lips and attempting to speak, she quickly stopped him.
She said, âYou shouldnât talk. Youâre weak. Save your energy.â
Then, she took his hand underneath the blanket and read his pulse.

She gave her diagnosis, âYouâre improving. Itâs a good sign for you to wake up. Once youâre feeling better. Iâll help you nurse your body. Give it some time; youâll recover gradually.â
Jean let out a soft grunt, âHmm.â
She poured him a glass of warm water, helped him sit up, and took a sip. After that, she gently laid
him back down.
Neera checked the time and wondered, âAre you hungry? Do you want something to eat?â
Jean shook his head.
âDo you want to get some sleep?â
Again, Jean shook his head.
He had lost consciousness for a long time; there were a few times where he woke up briefly but hadnât seen her. When he finally saw her, he refused to go back to sleep and held onto her hand nightly.
When his parents got the news, they rushed to the hospital.
Wrenn was overcome with tears of joy when she noticed her son had finally woken up.
Frederic had a hard time holding back his tears. He said, âSon, youâre finally awake. Weâre so
worried about you.â
Jean looked up. He reassured them weakly, âIâm okay. Donât worry.â
His simple response made Wrenn cry even more ferociously.
She started to blame herself and admitted her mistake for the first time, apologizing, âIâm sorry. Itâs
my fault. I almost killed you. Iâm to blame for everything.â
Frederic couldnât bear to see her crying in such sorrow.
He wrapped his hand around her shoulder and comforted her, saying, âYour mother has been worried sick about you over the past few days. She is scared to lose you and get very when you wake up.â

Susan and Roxanne?
Even more so, Neera was taken aback and asked, âHow did they end up there? What happened?â
Chad explained, âAlfonso sent his wife and daughter here after Garcia Group went bankrupt to treat Roxanneâs illness. A few days ago, they caused a scene at company headquarters.â
Neeraâs expression darkened. She gripped the desk edge more tightly. Her fingertips turned white from the strength she exerted.
âAnd Aunt Adriana? How is she doing now?â
After a brief pause, Chad said, âAdriana is still in the hospital. After she fainted, they realized there was a problem. If possible, I think you should come here.â
Neera grasped the graveness in his voice. Her heart sank.
Is Aunt Adriana very ill? If itâs not serious, Chad wouldnât call.
She took a deep breath to recall her demeanor. She replied, âUnderstood. Iâll make arrangements to fly there as soon as possible. Mr. Gordon, please look after her before I get
there.â
