Chapter 693 Wonât Let Her Go
Thora arrived half an hour later.
lan was stunned and he turned to Karl.
âMr. Karl, why did you invite her?â
Karl didnât know the grudges between Thora and Neera.
âI happened to know this doctor. She is also very good at-treating Jeanâs condition. Thatâs why I called her.â
Frederic and Wrenn didnât expect Karl would invite a young woman.
Even though she was Obadiahâs daughter, they were still skeptical about it.
âCrash!â
Jeanâs pain intensified suddenly. He accidentally knocked the glass of water on the bedside table.
It almost hurt Wrenn.
âQuick, treat him first.â
Thora immediately carried her medical kit forward.
It was the first time she had seen someone having such a powerful seizure.
She stood a little far away and started rummaging her kit because she was afraid of getting hurt.
âArenât you going to treat him?â lan said impatiently.
âYes. Iâm going to sedate him first. Hold him down.â
Karl and Joseph stepped forward to hold Jean.
Thora took out a syringe after some preparations.
lan was shocked at the dosage.
âWhy are you using such a large amount of sedative? Ms. Garcia never used that much!â
Thora was annoyed by lan. âHow could a little bit of sedative work? Canât you see that heâs having a seizure? He might do something harmful if this continues. Am I the doctor or are you the doctor? Do you know anything about medicine? Stop telling me what to do.â
Frederic and Wrenn were surprised at her arrogance.
lan didnât want to argue with her and turned to Frederic and Wrenn, âItâs better to get Ms. Garcia.â
Karl wouldnât let him do that.
âJean canât hold out any longer. How long would it take for her to arrive? Can Jean wait in this condition? lan, youâve been with Jean for years. He treats you like a brother. Donât you want him to get better as soon as possible?â
lan understood Karlâs intention at once. He wanted to replace Ms. Garcia with his woman. Mr. and Mrs.
Karl signaled Thora to sedate Jean.
After confirming that he was unconscious, Joseph and Karl released him.
Only then did Thora come forward and check on Jeanâs condition. It was worse than she expected.
His condition must have been a hundred times worse before Neeraâs treatment. Seems like itâs true that he was
incurable.
Thora was unwilling to admit that Neera had better medical skills than her.
She didnât know where to start and wanted to give up.
She was unsure about Jeanâs condition and it might cause irreversible consequences if she started dry needling, randomly.
If anything happened, the Beauvort family wonât let go of me!
