“Follow them and see where they’re going. Find a time to bring Wilfrid to see me alone. Remember, don’t let his parents find out.”

Katy nodded and went to do it immediately. After returning to the office, Neera’s phone rang.

It was Jean. “Have you eaten?”

Neera walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looked out the window, and said lazily. “Not yet.”

Jean could hear her listless.

“Are you in the research center? Jean asked gently, “What happened?”
