Chapter 103 of 140

christmas round the corner

veins ✔123 words~1 min read

3.

it's a cold, wednesday evening

with grey clouds and rain

as far as the eye can see,

and fog misting up all the rest

no one is out.

all cooped up nice and warm in

small, brick houses

sitting around an ignited fire place

and blankets strewn everywhere

across the cosy living room.

a film is on,

unfamiliar to the family watching -

but they are watching anyway,

with fleece pyjamas

hugging their bodies

and warm drinks

in their thawing hands.

holiday time has just settled

in the air

and the world has embraced it

with open arms.

the lights are dim

yellow and orange hues

and there is not

a single

fret

in the atmosphere

as Christmas

makes its way.
