A young nurse felt unjustified on Sierra’s behalf, “Hey, what kind of attitude is that? Ms. Sierra invited you because she thought highly of you. You should watch your attitude.”

The others started criticizing Gisele as well. To receive an invitation by the top socialite of Hearthfield and the top beauty in the medical field was an honor. Not to mention setting up a payable booth, even being asked to be a janitor by Sierra would be an honor.

Gisele had no words to say for herself because it was akin to speaking to a wall to explain herself to people who revered Sierra.

I’m sure she doesn’t have any ill–intentions.” Sierra spoke up for Gisele in feigned kindness and even sounded a little sorry as she said, “I just wanted to generate some income for her because I know that she’s been struggling recently. After all, we’re as close as sisters and it makes me feel bad to see her suffering.”

“I’m sorry, but my mother only has two children, and that’s me and my brother. Furthermore, I don’t think I’m that close with you, Ms. McMillan. Why would you say that we’re like sisters?” Gisele retorted.

They would only be sisters if one was the first wife and the other was the second wife.

A flicker of resentment flashed past Sierra’s eyes at Gisele’s stubbornness, but she kept the smile on her face and shifted her attention to Johnson instead. “Gisele, your friend is in a critical condition. Looks like he has a heart problem. Why won’t you ask him to have surgery as quickly as possible?”

Gisele rubbed her temples in exhaustion. Even though Sierra wasn’t tired of acting, she was tired of watching her acting. “Ms. McMillan, may I speak with you in private?”

Gisele already knew what she was planning. Since they had run into each other unexpectedly, she reckoned that Sierra wouldn’t stop and leave until she obtained something from Gisele.

Meanwhile, Sierra was hesitant and in a dilemma. On one hand, she wanted to speak with Gisele, but on the other hand, she was worried that Gisele would bully her.
