Sniffling, Angie smiled and said in a choked voice, “Alright, wait for me to return after I finish my studies. That’s all for now!”

After the cali, Gisele replayed Angie’s words in her mind. If she could be Silas‘ student, she could continue with her favorite medical studies and even become a surgeon.

Being a surgeon was a sacred occupation as well as the ultimate dream of her life.

Upon reaching Witham Manor, Gisele wanted to check on Deborah’s physical condition, but she saw people gathered around instead.

“Excuse me, please let me through.” Shoving the house helpers aside, Gisele squeezed into the crowd. only to find Deborah lying on the floor and her house doctor, Joey Puschl, administering first aid on her.

Immediately, Gisele took out her silver needles and turned to the house helper who was gossiping next to her. With a frown, she asked, “Did anyone call the ambulance yet? Don’t gather around here. Move away so there’s air ventilation.”

“We already called the emergency services and the ambulance will be here soon,” someone hurriedly

answered.

Relieved, Gisele fed a cardio relief tablet to Deborah before applying the silver needles on her. Working together with Joey as he administered first aid, she applied the needles quickly.

Deborah’s heart was failing mainly because of blocked arteries. Her days were numbered if she didnt

undergo a surgery soon.

Gisele and Joey continued to monitor Deborah until the ambulance arrived, and they both left in it.

At Central Hospital, Deborah was rushed into the ER while Gisele waited outside. From Joey, she found out what had happened.

Early in the morning, Deborah had woken up feeling energetic. After claiming that she was not sick, she insisted on working out, and that was when she passed out Fortunately, Joey was around and was able to prevent a tragedy.

“Mr. Witham and Mr. Aspen have been informed about this. They’re coming over now. However, Mrs. Witham Senior needs to have surgery as soon as possible. If this drags on, I’m afraid she won’t even have a 30 percent chance of survival,” Joey said with a sigh.

Gisele wanted to say something, but no words came out. While they were waiting outside the ER, she suddenly heard someone calling from behind, “Gigi Toby Fluff!*

She turned to the source of the voice in confusion and saw that it was Johnson’s nurse who had called her. “Excuse me, I’m stepping aside for a while. Please call me once Mrs. Witham Senior is out,” she politely said.

Waving his hand, Joey gestured for her to attend to her business. Gisele paced to the young nurse and smiled. “I’m surprised that you remember me.”

It’s impossible to forget you. You have no idea how Johnson sings your praises. Every day, he tells me how amazing you are. How can I possibly forget about you?” the nurse replied, smiling brightly and asking Gisele to leave with her.

At the mention of Johnson, Gisele asked, “How’s he doing? Did he have his surgery yet?”
