She said, âDonât worry, Ms. McMillan. Johnson will be of legal age in three daysâ
âYeah! Mind your own business and stop meddling in our affairsâ Johnson pushed the wheelchair forward.
Although he knew Giseleâs actions were deliberate, he showed no mercy in his words.
After leaving the room, he excitedly asked, âGigi, could you accompany me on my 18th birthday? I want to go to the amusement park and ride the carousel to make a wish.
âLetâs go to the cafeteria and grab the coupleâs special meal. Itâs delicious and on special offer. Iâm craving it!
Gisele kept her head down to conceal her inner pain. She had done her best, but it wasnât enough.
Since her relationship with Dorian wouldnât work out, she decided not to force it. She knew she should focus on more meaningful pursuits.
Meanwhile, Dorian watched their retreating figures with a dark expression until they entered the elevator. Then, he looked away.
âDon, are your feet okay? Donât blame Gisele. Itâs understandable that sheâs frustrated right
Sierra said softly, as if she were defending Giseleâs actions.

He sneered and said disdainfully, âShe needs to take responsibility for what she did.â
âShall we grab dinner?â Sierra asked, feeling relieved and hoping to move past the issue.
Earlier, she had heard Johnsonâs voice in the room. So, she had purposely suggested visiting Gisele. But she hadnât expected to witness what she had intended Dorian to see.
Nevertheless, his demeanor left her feeling unsettled.
âSure,â Dorian replied, his tone softening as he treated her with deference.
As mealtime approached, the hospital cafeteria bustled with activity.
Patients and their families filled the spacious area, and their chatter echoed throughout the
entire first floor.
âGigi, would you like to go upstairs?â Johnson asked, concerned that the noise might bother
her.
