The young nurse sighed. “Johnson had been diagnosed with heart failure, and he is currently managing it with medication. But it’s tough because he isn’t taking care of himself.

“We did have a heart available for transplant, but unfortunately, he declined the surgery. Moreover, he is an orphan who lives with his grandfather.

“Sadly, his grandfather passed away a year ago.”

Gisele frowned at the nurse’s words. She wondered if Johnson’s orphan status had dampened his desire to live.
