MiyMiya'sV
The night was eerily quiet after Amandaâs exit. There was no loud celebration, no victorious cheers. Just a heavy silence that hung in the air as we all made our way back. I could feel the weight of what weâd just done, the tension still lingering. Weâd stood up to Amanda, but I knew she wasnât the type to give up that easily.
Zaire walked beside me, his presence a constant source of strength. But even he seemed to be carrying the weight of everything on his shoulders. He hadnât said much since the confrontation, and I wasnât sure if that was because he was relieved or because the battle was far from over.
We climbed into the car, and I leaned back against the seat, my eyes fluttering closed for a moment. I wasnât tired, not really. But my body was drained from the adrenaline rush, from everything that had happened in the past few days. I just wanted a moment of peace, a moment where everything felt... normal.
But deep down, I knew there was no going back to normal. Not with Amanda still in the picture. Sheâd come at us before, and she was sure to do it again. The only question was when.

Zaireâs POV
I could feel MiyaMiyaâs tension beside me. She was trying to act like everything was okay, but I knew better. She wasnât one to show weakness, but I could see it in her eyes. Weâd gotten through tonight, but the battle was far from over.
I didnât want to worry her, but I couldnât ignore the feeling in my gut. Amanda wasnât the type to let things go. She would come back, and when she did, it would be worse than before. But I wasnât about to let her get to us. Not this time.
I reached for Miyahâs hand, squeezing it gently. âWeâre good,â I said, my voice low but firm. âWeâll handle it.â
She gave me a small smile, though it didnât quite reach her eyes. âI know. But something doesnât feel right.â
I nodded, knowing exactly what she meant. The calm never lasted long in our world. But for now, I wanted to believe that we could take a breath, just for a moment.

Zoeyâs POV
I stood by the window, looking out at the city, the lights below blinking like distant stars. My thoughts were racing. Amanda had backed off, but only for now. The longer she stayed out of the picture, the more time we had to fortify ourselves. But I knew the storm was coming. It always did.
Ashley stood next to me, her eyes scanning the street below. âYou think sheâs plotting something?â
I didnât have to say anything. Ashley knew me too well.
âSheâll be back. Sheâs too proud to just walk away,â I replied. âWe need to be ready for whatever she throws our way.â
Ashley gave me a quicce, her expression unreadable. âWeâre ready.â
I wasnât sure if I believed that yet, but I appreciated the confidence. The moment we let our guard down, thatâs when Amanda would strike. And I wasnât about to let that happen.
---
Ashleyâs POV
I could see the uncertainty in Zoeyâs eyes, even though she was trying to hide it. She had every right to feel that way. Amanda was dangerous. She was unpredictable. And she wouldnât stop until she got what she wanted.
But we had to be smarter than her. We had to outthink her. I had my ways of dealing with people like Amanda. And if it came down to it, I wouldnât hesitate to put her in her place.
âSheâs gonna make a move soon,â I said, my voice low. âWe just need to be ready to hit her first.â
Zoey nodded, her jaw tightening. âWeâll handle it. We always do.â
---
Amandaâs POV
I could feel the anger boiling inside me as I drove through the streets, the lights flashing by in a blur. Zaire thought he could just throw me aside. But he was wrong. I wasnât done with him, not by a long shot.
I could see his face when he said he was done. But I wasnât the type to walk away. I had made him, and I would be damned if I let Miyah take him from me.
I picked up my phone, dialing Jadaâs number. I needed backup. I needed to show Zaire the real power here.
âJada,â I said when she picked up. âI need you to get ready. Weâre going to make them regret crossing me.â
---
Jadaâs POV
I had been waiting for this. I knew Amanda wouldnât let go that easily. She wasnât just mad. She was determined to break Zaire and Miyah. And I was ready to help her do it.
âIâm ready,â I replied, my voice steady. âWhatâs the plan?â
Amandaâs voice was cold, calculated. âWe hit them where it hurts. Zaireâs weakness is Miyah. We go after her, and Zaire will follow.â
I knew the game she was playing, and I wasnât sure I liked it. But Iâd always been loyal to Amanda. And loyalty, sometimes, meant doing things you didnât want to do.
âWeâll get it done,â I said.

MiyaMiya's
We arrived at the house, the streetlights casting long shadows across the driveway. The tension from earlier hadnât left me, but I was determined to push it aside. Zaire was here, and he was my anchor. As long as I had him by my side, I knew I could face whatever came next.
But the moment we stepped inside, I felt it. The air was thick with something I couldnât put my finger on. Something was coming. I didnât know how or when, but I could feel it in my bones.
Zaire must have felt it too, because he pulled me closer, his arm wrapped around me protectively. âStay close,â he whispered.
I nodded, my heart racing. I didnât know what to expect, but I knew one thing for sure: Whatever was coming, we would face it together.
---
Zaireâs POV
I could feel the storm coming. Amanda wasnât going to leave us alone. I could tell by the way she spoke, by the look in her eyes when she left tonight. She wasnât done. And when she came back, it was going to be worse than before.
But I wasnât going to let her tear us apart. Miyah was mine, and I would do whatever it took to protect her. We had made it this far. We werenât going to lose everything now.
I pulled Miyah closer, the weight of the moment sinking in. Whatever came next, weâd face it head-on. Together.
