The world was silent.
Until it wasnât.
âLevel 25 reached. Class level confirmed.â
The voice came not from outside, but from everywhereâdeep within Valenâs consciousness. Cool, emotionless, powerful.
âCompatibility detected: Mage essence awakened.â
âLegendary Swordsman and Mage will now combine.â
âYou have awakened the legendary class: Spellblade.â
Valenâs eyes snapped open.
No warmth of dawn. No sound of birds. Only the lingering echo of the voice as glowing runes faded from his vision.
He sat up slowly, the hairs on his arms standing on end. The air around him crackled with invisible tension.
His hand flexedâand he felt it immediately.
Power.
Not just muscle and movement anymore. Something deeper. Something older. A current beneath the skin. He clenched his fist and the sensation flaredâlike a spark waiting to ignite.
âShow me my screen,â he whispered.
A pulse. And thenâ

Valen stared at the screen, then slowly leaned back on the wall of his room.
Mage...
I now just got it I tried so hard I even gave up on ever getting these mages and swordsman donât go into 1 class whatâs going on.
And yet, the moment the class fused... it was like it had always been there.
The way the mana swirled just beneath his skin...
The way his body pulsed in rhythm with itâ¦
He wasnât just a swordsman anymore.
He was both.
----------------------------------------
The moment he stepped outside, he felt it again.
The wind moved slower around him. The light was clearer. His steps were lighter.
Everything had changed.
----------------------------------------
Down at the clearing near the river bend Valen stood in the tall grass. No distractions. Just him, his blades, and the flood of potential now surging through him.
He unsheathed the Spider Fang Duel Bladesâblack metal catching the sunâand closed his eyes.
Mana flickered along his arms. No chant. No incantation. He didnât need it.
His eyes snapped open, andâ
âSpell Weave: Ignis.â
One blade burst into flame.
He swung, and the fire followed, trailing like a serpent.
âSpell Weave: Voltus.â
Lightning wrapped the other blade. The next strike crackled and lashed the air, shattering a nearby stone post with a deafening snap.
âRift spiralâ
As he spun he was sorounded by wind could see the traces of lightning and fire
Valen charged forward, slashing the air in fluid, blinding arcs.
Step.
Phantom Slash.
The afterimage doubled his attacks. An area of dead burnt grass now laid there
He stopped spinning.
Then paused.
Drunk a mana potion he bought with some money.
Time to try it.
He steadied his breathing, closing his eyes again.
âOrigin Power.â
The mana inside him surged. Violently. Like unlocking a gate that should have stayed sealed.
A pulse erupted from himâlike a heartbeat that shook the earth. The world dimmed. His vision brightened.
His mind expanded outward, as if connected to every particle in the air.
And with it came a burst of clarity. His body moved smoother. His thoughts came faster. He could feel the world breathe.
And thenâ
A second surge.
He opened his hand, and a spiral of light danced across his palm.
âI seeâ¦â
He turned, slashed with a single bladeâand it followed. Hard, fast, controlled.
Origin Power made the world bend to his will.
But it was fleeting. A few minutes, no more.
And just like that, it ended.
The rush faded, and the world returned to normal.
----------------------------------------
Later that day, back at home, his mother called from the garden.
âValen! Are youâwhat happened to that training post?!â
He blinked, then grunted. âIt exploded.â
Elyse squinted. âDid you use your fatherâs fire powder again you know theyâre not toys?â
âNo. I used a spell.â
She blinked. âYou⦠what?â
Valen smiled for the first time in days.
âI wanted to surprise you my class is now a mage
His parents ran to hug him they were so happy he got his childhood dream.
They celebrated with what they had he discussed his future with them he wanted to actually go adventure they where sad but supported the decision since they did the same
----------------------------------------
Evening fell like a curtain.
Valen sat outside, cloak pulled tight, his gaze drifting to the stars overhead. The cool air brushed his cheek, and the forest beyond Fenward whispered in the dark.
He was ready.
He had the bag. The blades. The power.
Heâd reached the point others trained a lifetime for.
But he hadnât forgotten one thing.
That moment in the dungeon when time slowed. That surge of power. It hadnât come from any listed skill. It had come from deep insideâsomething he couldnât trigger again.
Until now.
Origin Power.
Was that what heâd touched all those years ago in the spiderâs lair?
It had only fully awakened now, with the Spellblade class.
But that raised a questionâhow had he accessed a Mageâs Legendary Core back then if he hadnât even awakened mana?
He didnât have an answer.
But the voice in his headâthe systemâhad treated it as if it was always part of him. As if it had been waiting.
----------------------------------------
The next day, he walked through the village like a ghost. A hood drawn. Eyes lowered. Not because he feared the peopleâbut because he didnât want their attention.
He passed children training in the fields, swinging wooden swords. A few adults glanced his way, whispering. Some respected him. Others feared him. Most just didnât understand him.
And that was fine.
He wasnât meant to stay.
----------------------------------------
By noon, heâd stocked up quietlyâration pills,a few mana cores, dried meat, a refill on potion vials. His spatial bag stored it all, light as ever.
Then, he stopped in front of the forge.
Clyde stood outside, hammering a bent wheel rim into shape.
He looked up, wiped his brow. âYou look bigger today.â
Valen raised an eyebrow. âDo I?â
âNot in inches. In weight.â Clyde leaned on the anvil. âYour aura is frightening especially for someone your age. try learning to supress that on your journey
Valen nodded.
His father smirked. The grass in the field behind the house looks like it got hit by a lightning storm.â
There was a beat of silence.
âIâm leaving soon,â Valen said.
âI know.â Clyde looked away.
Another pause.
Clyde walked into the shed and came back with a small leather case. Inside were maintenance toolsâoils, cloths, mini sharpening stones.
âTake it,â he said. âIf your bladeâs going to carry your name out into the world, keep it sharp.â
Valen accepted it quietly.
No more words were needed.
----------------------------------------
That night, he lay in bed, eyes open, staring at the ceiling.
Tomorrow, he would return to the dungeon.
Not for gold. Not for training.
But to test what Spellblade could do at its peak.
Third floor boss? Maybe the Fourth floor? It didnât matter.
He would push until the dungeon itself recoiled.
And when he leftâhe would no longer be a kid .
He would be something more.
