I'm sorry you've been through so much,
And I'm sorry that the doctors said you wouldn't make it this far,
I know it's been hard,
And dear girl I feel your pain,
When you said you didn't want to live?
And yet you live another day,
And I'm sorry they treated you bad,
And I'm sorry your mom had mental health issues,
So, she was always sad,
I'm sorry your dad was barely home,
And when he was,
He gave you materialistic things,
Rather than be your home,
He didn't give you enough time,
Because he was always on his phone,
And I'm sorry that you lost your grandad,
And then you lost your grandma this year,
And I'm sorry that no one told you,
You are perfect in every way,
I'm sorry you felt like you were never loved enough,
I hope you heal from the past,
And know pain doesn't last,
And I'm sorry you lost your cousin to suicide,
And I hope you know it's not your fault she died,
And I'm sorry you used to feel alone,
Because you couldn't love yourself,
Because you looked at your body and face and thought ewww,
And I'm sorry that they don't see your heart,
When it gives too much,
And they use and abuse and rip it apart,
And I'm sorry you want the best for everyone,
Yet they treat you so poorly,
And I hope you know you survived this long,
And this is only part of your whole story.
