I pushed Alec away from me. I was panting as I stared at him.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him.

He was making this hard for me. It already was. But kissing me and then begging me to stay with him, it was harder.

He rubbed his face lightly before coming and holding my hands, "Ten days. Give me ten days. You can do that at the least, right?"

I stared at him. Into his eyes.

I thought I was doing both of us a favour by leaving. I didn't want to put him through trouble anymore. I didn't want myself to be hurt by holding onto him. But he really wanted to not let me go.

My heart was wavering.

Ten days? I can give him at least ten days, right? It's not too much and I will be taught if everyone was just like my dad.

"Just ten days." I whispered looking at him vulnerable myself.

"Just ten days." He bit his bottom lip, "To sort my feelings and tell you confidently that you are the one."

Looking at him this way, I couldn't say no. Mainly because I like him, I cannot see him this way.

So I nodded my head at him letting him know that ten days is all he got.

He smiled before kissing my forehead lightly.

"You don't look so good." Evelyn said as she picked out a top for her.

As promised, I was here with Liya and Evelyn right now. The three of us were here to shop, technically it was Evelyn who wanted to do the shopping and Liya and I were just dragged here.

"I'm fine." I said leaning back against one of the walls as I watched her. Liya was standing just beside me. I felt her eyes on my face. I looked her way before averting my eyes away.

"Are you and Alec dating?" Liya asked.

I choked on my saliva before snapping my head to look at her. How did this question suddenly come up? Out of nowhere?

"I've been dying to know this too!" I heard Evelyn run towards us.

Were my feelings so obvious?

I watched Liya and Evelyn as the both of looked at me expectantly. I played with the hem of my shirt—looking down.

I wish we were. I wish he liked me just as much as I did. I looked at Liya and wished he loved me just as much as he loves her. And I wish he won't let me down after these ten days.

"No, we aren't." I muttered.

"Then what are you waiting for? Pound at him, girl. Make him yours." Evelyn held out her hand while holding her top in another to grab my attention, "I have a sixth sense for these things and I can write it for you that you guys will make a good couple."

I took in a deep breath and made sure I was looking at Liya indirectly. There was a mirror in the front where I could see her reflection standing just beside me. I could see her looking at me as I said, "I wish it was that easy. Especially when it's difficult for him to move on from his first love."

I don't know what I was expecting from her. I don't know what reaction I wanted. Maybe I just wanted her to know how broken she has left him? And I wanted her to feel even a slightest of guilt for that.

But I was surprised when I didn't see any kind of reaction from her. I stared at her reflection in the mirror but she just stood there with a sad smile.

"I know you'll make that happen." She finally said grabbing my attention. I looked at her in surprise," Just know that it is none of our faults."

She knew what I was talking about. She knew how I felt. And indirectly or directly she was trying to comfort me. Letting me know everything was going to be alright.

"Just let me know if you need any kind of help." She smiled at me.

"I wish I had someone who loved me too." Evie said slamming her head against my shoulder.

Her hair covered her face as she stayed in that position on my shoulder. I wanted to tell her that she does have a guy who loves her more than anything. Just by looking at the both of them anyone could tell how whipped Brian was for Evelyn.

"But you do." Liya laughed.

Evie lifted her head up and looked at Liya tiredly, "No, I don't."

"You do. You just don't see it."

Her face brightened up, "Is it Luke?"

"Who is Luke?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Are you crazy?" Liya gave her a weird look, "Luke has a girlfriend."

"Who is Luke?" I intervened again. I was so out of the conversation right now.

Both of them looked at me.

"Her ex boyfriend."

"A friend of mine."

Both of them said simultaneously. I nodded my head awkwardly. So...ex boyfriend or a friend? Which one is it?

"He was not my boyfriend." Liya looked at Evie with her eyes wide.

"Of course he was. Brian didn't bring him to us for nothing."

"It was fake. You know why we did that."

"Even if it was fake, you guy did date!"

"It was not real!"

"Doesn't matter."

I regret asking that question at all. Because I was in the middle while the both of them argued. But I sure as hell could make out that Liya 'fake' dated Luke to make Xavier jealous?

"Guys chill." I tried to keep them both quiet but they ignored me.

"Fuck you! He was so handsome but no you had to go to that jerk Xavier." Evie hissed.

I took a step back. I definitely didn't hear that. Even if I did, I dare not agree to her. I have never seen Luke but Xavier being a jerk I can definitely imagine.

Liya gasped as she said, "Screw you too! But I loved him so I held onto him until the end. And I won! I am happy now."

Holding onto people even if it hurts, that was something I could tell that Liya did perfectly. But I couldn't. I cannot.

We got a few looks from some customers around us and one of the workers was coming towards us but I motioned him letting him know that it was all good. That they weren't going to cut each other's throat. It was just a friendly argument (including a little vulgar language but that's alright).

"My language was so much better before I met you." Liya squinted her eyes.

"But you still love us."

"Shut up."

I definitely didn't feel like I was third wheeling. Nope. Not at all.

"Come out for a second." Evie grumbled before pulling Liya with her, "Serene," she looked at me. I raised my eyebrows at her in a questioning way, "I am gonna take her with me for a minute. Can you wait here?" She smiled sweetly at me. I nodded my head at her. I watched her as she literally dragged Liya out with her while Liya looked at me with pleading eyes.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little as I watched them both get out of the store.

I like having them as friends. They are fun.

I looked around the store and found Evie's top lying on the floor. I shook my head to myself.

She didn't even respect this piece of clothe while dragging Liya out.

I picked it up before going to the section she took it from. It was a cream crop top. Before I could even reach the section I felt a hand press down on my mouth.

I screamed and tried to slap the hands away but they were firmly pressed. The person dragged me just around the corner before slamming me against the wall. I groaned lightly in pain before quickly looking at the person who did this.

I stared at them as they stood there in front me.

What the hell?
