The pair had decided to keep everything the same, but instead continuing to spend time together and strengthening their relationship. For the past four days, the pair had spent almost all their time with one another. Despite both of the women having practice, they still continued to find time for each other.
"And then she said that she'd been feeling the same way towards me mom! Like, come on!" Robin squealed into the phone as she talked about the situation with her mom, "Like, this feels so good. With Miles, it felt like I always had to take the initiative to plan when we'd spend time with one another and work around his schedule. But, Paige makes me feel the exact opposite. She's always putting me first and thinking about how I feel, it's so crazy."
"I'm so happy to hear this, Button!" Her mom praised, proud of her daughter for moving on from her past and welcoming a new relationship in her life, "This is what you need, someone who understands you and dedicates time to you."
Robin sighed, sitting down in her bed, happily reminiscing of the blonde who she was falling hard for.
"You don't think I'm moving too fast, do you? I don't want anything to mess us up or cause us to have any issues. She makes me so happy, I just don't want to ruin it."
"I believe that you and Paige are going at the pace you need to go at. There's no specific timeline that you have to stick to, baby. You're moving at your own pace, and how it sounds, you really like this young lady. Every time you mention her, I can hear the smile in your voice. You both deserve to have this, so don't begin to doubt it."
Robin knew her mother was right. It'd been a month and a half since Miles and Robin had broken up, and since Paige and her met. Since then, she's made the woman forget all of the pain that the man had caused her. So, she was grateful for Miles showing his true colors because it brought her Paige.
"I have to go back to work, baby, but I'll see you next week for the championship game, okay? Keep me updated on you and Paige! I love you!"
"I love you more, mommy!"
Robin collapsed onto the bed, her back landing on the soft comforter under her. Her mind began wandering to the basketball player again. To say that she was geeked would be an understatement.
She wanted to plan a date for them, something cute that would express how much Robin appreciated her and their relationship. So, she sent her a message.

Robin had spent the next couple of days perfecting her plans for the date with Paige, ensuring that her favorite girl would have the best time. Besides volleyball training and countless assignments, all week she'd been planning for Paige to do all of her favorite things in one day.
She wanted this day to truly show how much she'd grown to adore the blonde. It's as if her life had been flipped upside down the past few months.
Robin went from being cheated on by her boyfriend, broken, exhausted to restored and it was all thanks to Paige. While the pair still had so much growing and learning to do with one another, she knew that this relationship would be ten times better than her past one.
Paige was nothing like Miles. She was a lover, who made sure that everyone around her had a smile on their face. She was a comforter and loved to do childish things, like build lego sets and watch reruns of Adventure Time. She had dreams and passions that went beyond the sport she played, and her whole life's purpose was to do everything in her power to create a safe space for women who were athletes. Her heart was pure and had zero flaws.
At times, Robin would get in her head and question if she was even good enough for Paige. But, those thoughts were shut down immediately when Paige showed her everyday that they were a perfect match. They shared the same love for making change within their sports and outside of them.
As of right now, both women were at their dorms preparing for their evening together. Robin told Paige to dress cute-casual, so Paige settled for a white crop top paired with black cargo pants and Air Force 1s. It was a comfortable outfit that could fit any activities that Robin had planned for the pair.
"Okay, how do I look?" Paige asked Azzi, doing a small spin for her friend, "should I change into something cuter? I feel like it's too simple."
Azzi chuckled at her best friend's nervousness, "P, you look fine, seriously. Robin would think you're cute even if you had on a trash bag."
The blonde nodded, before finally sitting next to Azzi on the couch, waiting for Robin to come get her. She had a lot of nerves for the approaching date, since this would be her first one ever.
Paige had never really gone on dates in her past, because she mostly poured her everything into school or basketball. She struggled in her prior years when it came to her identity and who she was, which made it ten times harder to venture out and find someone for her. It was like that for a while until she met Robin, who broke the love drought that Paige had been enduring and finally downpoured all of the love and appreciation that she deserved unto her.
And while Paige was not sure what their next move would be, she knew that all she wanted to be was Robin's girl.
A knock on the door sounded off into the room, causing the blonde to jump up and run to answer it. Opening the door, Paige was face to face with her lover holding a Lego bouquet inside of a vase, similar to the one that she'd given her during their first time hanging out. Attached the vase was a small card that had her name written on it.
A smile adorned the volleyball players face as she looked at Paige's outfit, that was slightly similar to hers. Both of the women wore white crop tops, showing off their toned stomachs, while Robin wore blue jeans and Paige wore black pants.
Paige had noticed that Robin had taken out her braids, allowing her curls to frame her face. She'd fought the urge to move them away from her eyes.
"You look so pretty, P," Robin exclaimed, handing her the Lego flowers, "I know how much you love Legos, so I made you a similar one that you gave me. I hope you like it."
Paige poked her bottom lip out, gladly accepting the vase from her. It was truly heartwarming to know that Robin took in so many of the small details about her. Although everyone knew that she'd always loved legos, but she'd purchased and built the chrysanthemum bouquet, which just so happened to be her favorite.
"Don't open the note until I drop you back off, though." Robin said as Paige reached for the card attached to it.
"Okay, I'm going to go put this in my room and then we can leave?" She replied, smiling at the woman who nodded in return.

The pair had finally made it to the car, driving in a comfortable silence. Robin softly sang along to the Frank Ocean song that played on her stereo as she drove, her right hand holding onto Paige's.
The first half of the date was going to be at the local arcade that Paige had been raving about going to. She'd always seen ads and drove by the place, but never had the opportunity to go inside and have fun. Robin decided that this would be the first place that they'd enjoy today.
"No wayyy," the blonde said as they pulled into the parking lot, "I've literally wanted to come here for years. Birdie, oh my goodness."
"I know, baby, that's why I brought you!" Robin responded, stepping out of the car to open her door. "My lady."
She held out her hand and Paige immediately accepted it. Sparks flew through the both of them as they walked hand in hand into the arcade. This felt so natural for the two athletes as if this was written in the stars. The two felt so comfortable with each other, not caring who saw them together. It didn't matter.
What mattered was that they were finally together, enjoying the new relationship that was beginning to form and the happiness that was radiating off of them. No amount of stares, whispers, or social media posts would stop then from being happy with one another.
They deserved this moment and they deserved one another.
Robin paid for their card, which allowed them to play around fifteen games before they headed off onto their next adventure.
Paige immediately wanted to go to the basketball shooting game, dragging her curly headed partner along with her. Once they started playing, Paige was attempting to take it easy on the girl, but then recognizing that it was the wrong move.
Robin had been a natural at the game, making all of the shots that she took.
"You didn't know I was a multi-sport athlete, huh?" Robin smirked, watching as Paige gawked at her. The girl only laughed, continuing to shoot as her partner took a photo of her.
"Why didn't you play basketball instead? Cus' looks like you could be helping us get that natty right now." The blonde questioned jokingly after they'd finished the game.
Robin's smile faltered a bit, remembering the true reason why she didn't take up basketball. Not wanting to sulk on the past and ruin the moment between them, she attempted to regain her smile. But, Paige had already noticed.
"Thats a conversation for another day, superstar." Robin said, holding onto the blondes waist, "how about I whoop your ass in that game over there?"
Paige nodded, deciding to drop the conversation since it noticeably dampened the mood. She followed after her, preparing to get her butt kicked in yet another game.
After spending around forty-five minutes at the arcade, the pair finally made their way out and back towards Robin's car.
The sun was beginning to set, making it the perfect time to go on their picnic in Paige's favorite secluded garden that she'd found whilst being a freshman at UCONN. She'd taken Robin once before while she was still recovering from her breakup, and they spent most of their time that day in silence, enjoying the company of one another.
After a quick ride, Paige noticed that they'd pulled up at her favorite place, causing her to be in awe. She could tell that Robin had filled the day with things that she enjoyed staring with the chrysanthemum Lego set and now to her favorite place. She'd loved how much the girl paid attention to her.
Robin opened the door for her girl again before getting everything they needed out of the trunk. She'd packed the quilt that her mom had made her, along with an insulated basket full of Paige's favorites foods and drinks.
Leading her to the perfect spot, Robin and Paige both set up their space and sat comfortably with one another. She'd even brought her MacBook and played the blondes favorite movie, Love and Basketball. The pair laid comfortably next to one another on their stomachs, arms grazing as they indulged in the snacks and watched the movie.
"I know it wasn't much, but I hope you enjoyed today." Robin said, looking away from the screen and towards Paige, who smiled brightly.
"Today was everything, birdie, seriously." She said, reaching out to rub her arm, "No one has ever done this for me, like ever. So, thank you."
"You deserve this and more. I'm just glad I can be the one to make it happen, because you mean so much to me. As long as you keep me, I'll make sure you're treated like the prettiest princess, Paigey."
Robin pinched her tinted cheeks, and leaned in to kiss them. This was the closest they'd ever been to one another after admitting their feelings. The tension between one another could be felt and the desire to get closer only increased from there.
Paige had wanted to be kissed for a long time by Robin, and in that moment, her wish came true. After she'd playfully kissed both sides of her face, she pulled away, seeing a dazed expression on her face. In that moment, Robin could see how beautiful her blonde was. It was an effortless beauty.
And as they continued to be lost in one another's eyes and their heartbeats began picking up, they both realized that was about to happen and they accepted it. They both had wanted to have this moment weeks ago, but afraid to make the first move. But, now seemed like the perfect time for them.
The volleyball player leaned in slowly, capturing her lips and placing a light, yet passionate kiss onto Paige's lips.
Sparks, electricity, butterflies, you name it, they felt it. Everything felt absolutely right in this moment, they felt like they were meant to be, that their lips were crafted for one another. Paige only deepened the kiss by entangling her fingers in Robin's soft curly hair and pulling her in more.
This was marked as one of the best nights that the two had spent together. Both of the woman falling so much harder for one another, willing to do whatever it took to make this moment last an entire lifetime.
