Everyone was back from Christmas break, feeling well rested and ready to tackle their next semester of college. Robin had spent the last few weeks in Nebraska, spending time with her younger sisters, Raven and Riley.
Through those weeks, she'd learned how similar all three of them were. Robin had grown so close with her younger siblings, learning and loving everything about them. While Raven was quiet and introverted, Riley was talkative and hyperactive. While Robin was still angry at her father for leaving and keeping her sisters away from her, she was grateful that she had this chance to know them and grow to love being around them.
When it was time for her to return to Connecticut, the girls cried their eyes out. Despite only knowing their older sister for several weeks, they'd loved the comfort that she provided them and how much she demonstrated that she cared. It was hard for her to leave her younger sisters, but she'd promised that she'd come back and visit them soon.
As she arrived back to Connecticut, Robin claimed her bags, looking for her blonde haired girlfriend that she desperately missed. The pair had been a part from one another the entire break. While we knew that Robin spent the weeks with her sisters, Paige had spent hers with her manager as she tackled brand deals that came at her from left to right.
With a bright bouquet of pink roses, Paige stood at the entrance beaming at the sight of Robin. She opened her arms as her girlfriend crashed into them, squeezing her tight.
"My baby," Robin mumbled into Paige's neck, "I missed you bad!"
"I missed you more," Paige said, pulling away and kissing her all over her face. "Here, these are for you!"
Robin happily took the flowers, smelling them while Paige grabbed her bags and put them inside of the car. The curly headed woman sat comfortably in the passenger seat, waiting for their departure.
"How was your break, birdie?" Paige asked, driving away from the airport and towards UCONN's campus. One hand steered as the other one held Robin's hand, whose nails softly rubbed against it.
"It was great, honestly. I was able to see Raven and Riley everyday. I never really knew I could love two people so much in my life." Robin spoke, tapping her Home Screen to see a photo of her and her younger sisters, "They're so much like me, but in their own way. Raven is so reserved, and Riley is chaos. I like to say I'm a perfect medium."
Paige smiled as she listened to a her girlfriend express her love for her sisters, "I'm so happy for you honestly. I'm glad that you were able to spend time with them. It's the least your dad could do."
"Exactly," Robin said, looking over at her, "What about you, my super star? How was your break?"
"It was great. Drew came up to see me for a while. We were able to spend a couple days together before I had a shoot for Nike and then I got some pretty exciting news over the break, as well."
"Do tell," Robin said, smiling brightly at her girlfriend, excited to hear the news.
"Gatorade reached out to me over the break. I just signed a NIL deal with them, and now I'll be one of their new athletes in their ads and promotions. We actually had a shoot last week."
Robin screamed loudly, "P! This is so big! I'm so proud of you baby! Give me a kiss!"
Paige blushed as she quickly gave her girlfriend a kiss, and mumbled a small 'thank you'.
"We have to celebrate. Let's go to dinner tonight, on me!" Robin said, immediately pulled out her phone to book a reservation for Paige's favorite Italian restaurant in downtown Storrs. "We're booked for seven tonight. Ugh, I'm so proud of you."
Paige shook her head, humored by Robin's excitement. She knew that her girlfriend would be more excited than her. While Paige was proud of the accomplishment, it just meant something else that she'd have to be dedicated to. It boosted her chances of going top pick in the draft, and that's what encouraged her to keep going.
Paige pulled up to their dorm parking lot and helped Robin take her things to her room. While she wanted to catch up with Robin before their dinner tonight, she knew that she needed to get ready and they'd be able to be together tonight.
"Okay, go get ready babe. I'll be there to pick you up in two hours!"
"It's silk press season," Robin smiled as she finished the last curl on her head. She was getting dolled up to celebrate her partner. Her makeup was placed smoothly upon her skin, lashes placed nicely upon her eyes. Her hair was straightened to the T. The dress that she wore was bright red, making her skin look mocha.
Celebrating Paige came so easy to Robin because she did it every single day. The girl continuously poured words of affirmation onto her partner, reminding her that her greatness goes beyond basketball. Tonight would be one of the last nights that the couple would have the opportunity to spend time with one another. With March Madness being three months away, Paige would be locking into basketball and preparing to dominate on the court.
Robin grabbed her purse and quickly checked her appearance in the mirror. This was the first time since they met that she'd straightened her hair, and she hoped Paige liked it. She ran her fingers through her hair, before opening the door and heading straight to Paige.
The blonde waited patiently for Robin to pick her up. Finally, she'd received a message to come out front. She walked out of the dorm and made her way outside. She spotted Robin standing outside the car by the passenger seat with a huge grin., and Paige returned the smile.
In Paige's eyes, Robin looked beyond beautiful. She wore the same shade of red that she'd wore when they first met at the party, and the blonde could feel herself falling more for the brown eyed beauty. Rather than the curls that she had this morning, her hair was now straight and fell over her shoulders. Her soft, brown skin glowed in the sunset, making Paige a fan girl inside her head.
She was Robin's biggest fan.
"Well, don't you look beautiful?" Robin stated, taking her girlfriend's hand, admiring her outfit. Paige wore a simple black button up with only the middle buttons actually clasped, showing off her chest and stomach. She paired the top with a pair of low waisted black pants and Jordan 4s.
"Look who's talking," She responded, spinning Robin around and pulling her in. Paige's hands gripped her waist, making their way down to cup her bottom. "You sure you want to go to dinner tonight? We can just skip to dessert."
Robin's hands found their way around Paige's neck, "As tempting as that sounds, I want to feed you real food first."
Paige smirked, throwing her head back and laughing. While the girls have never been intimate before, they surely both talked up a big game. They'd wanted to wait until the right moment. However, just because they weren't active, didn't mean they didn't want to be.
Both women craved one another, terribly.
The pair had finally found their way to the restaurant, and as they were being seated, fans bombarded Paige asking for photos, and she obliged. Robin watched from afar as she took photos with the people, smiling because this is everything she deserved.
"Everyone loves you, superstar." Robin smiled, looking at her partner, who smiled back at her.
"Well, I love you." Paige said casually as she looked at the menu before her, her icy blue eyes raking over all of the meal options.
"Pauseeee," Robin said, her smile only spreading on her face, "you love me? Like, deadass?"
Paige chuckled, "Yes, since I met you. Nobody makes me feel this way but you. You're my favorite person in the world, don't tell Drew I said that. I can see myself spending the rest of my life with you, Miss Ali."
"Well, I love you more. I know I'll be spending the rest of my life with you, Miss Bueckers."
