Although he didnât do the paternity test, he was sure about Judithâs identity. This was the first time he had been so firm.
Frank glanced at Gary and said, âGary, go and drive over. Judy and her son will go with us.â Gary looked at him and smiled with envy. He nodded and turned to the parking lot. Judith said, âMr. Taylor, you donât need to do that. We can just take a taxi back.â âJudy, thatâs fine. I live not far from you. Besides, itâs time to eat now. Why donât we go eat first? Since Lucas is here, letâs take him to eat something delicious.â His voice was gentle but determined as he said with a smile.
Judith looked at Frank and felt that he was abnormal. Menâs thoughts were hard to guess. Lucas stared at Frank. Frank was different from what he knew. At least, he was very good to his mother. Judith was in a dilemma. She did not want to have too much contact with Frank. Other than in the company, she only wanted to stay away from him. Lucas seemed to have seen through her motherâs difficulties and said, âMom, I want to go back to rest. Iâm tired.â Judith looked down at him lovingly, âOkay, Iâll take you back to rest.â Then, she looked up at Frank with an apologetic expression. âMr. Taylor, Iâm sorry. Iâm afraid Iâll have to let you down. LuÄas is tired. Iâll take Lucas back to rest first.â Frank was instantly disappointed.
He looked at Lucas and tried his best to soften his usually cold face. âLucas, is tomorrow night okay?â He sounded more than cautious. As a father, he wanted to try his best to have a good relationship with them. Seeing the fanaticism and some complicated emotions in Frankâs eyes when he looked at his mother, Lucas was confused. He shook his head slightly. âIâm sorry. Weâve already made an appointment with Uncle Adam. Weâll go to dinner with him tomorrow night.â Lucas preferred Uncle Adam. For him, Uncle Adam and Alissa were the best people in this world to them.
When Frank heard Adamâs name, he instantly turned cold.
He frowned and knew that he was inferior to Adam to Lucas and Eric.
But he had just started, and he could do what Adam could do.
âThen the night after tomorrow!â Frank did not give up. Only with more opportunities to get along could they become more familiar with each other. Judith was slightly stunned. She did not understand why Frank would insist on this. âMr. Taylor, letâs talk about it when we have time. You are very busy. Lucas is just a child. You donât have to do this.â Judith said in a tactful manner. With the gorgeous sunset, she looked very soft and beautiful. With her good figure and wavy hair under the bright light, she looked cold and arrogant. When Frank saw her like this, he was a little stunned. He smiled gently. âJudy, Iâm always available. Letâs set it for the night after tomorrow. After work, Iâll pick up Lucas with you.â
âMom, the day after tomorrow is Saturday.â Lucas reminded his mother when he saw that she seemed to have forgotten about it He knew his mother had two days off on the weekend.
