EMMA'S POV

Today was our first day as a married couple, and it did sound a bit different cause I for once never thought I'd be married before 25 or something, but then I also never thought I'd be the Luna. I guess everything worked out the way it was meant to be, even though it isn't what we expect.

Another thing that I didn't expect was to be sitting in our office waiting for other Alpha's on the very next day of our marriage. There had been  attacks, kidnappings, robberies and not the small kind, in our neighbouring packs yesterday, on the day me and Ethan got married which was a very clear message that my father dearest wasn't happy I got married without his blessing.

I was sitting in the chair as Ethan stood behind the chair rubbing my shoulders trying to calm my nerves because this was my first meeting, as official Luna of the pack, and even if I've handled those hot headed Alpha's before, I was still kind of nervous about this meeting.

What if they're all gonna blame me for those attacks? Because I am afterall responsible for it. I was the reason Donovan harmed innocent people who weren't even related to us. But before I can continue my over thinking session the door opened revealing Alpha Smith from Silver Claw pack and he looked dishevelled.

Ofcourse anyone who had a bunch of rouge attack their pack for no reason, and had to travel to neighbour pack the very next day, and also handel the pack work would look dishevelled so I didn't blame him. He filled us in about the attack and only one pack member was killed. The girl, who was killed, was only sixteen, with green eyes and blonde hair, and had a small but happy family, with no enemies which made her death more suspicious. Just as Alpha Smith was done with giving us the details and leaving for the guest room, the door opened again.

This time a woman, a dangerous looking woman I might add, entered the room as if she owned it followed by Beta Ryan from Red moon pack, "Hi I am  Alpha Vera of Red moon pack and I am here because you're the reason my pack was attacked" she said in her Russian accent jabbing me with her finger.

Ethan growled behind me but didn't move from his place, waiting for me to react. I moved her finger, "I am not the reason your pack was attacked", I said politely trying to calm the situation.

"Oh really, an innocent girl was kidnapped and killed because of you and here you are in all your glory with your mate probably planning your honeymoon or something. Do us a favor and women up, own up to the shit you've done and maybe I'll make your punishment a little less harsh", she said folding her arms. This time when Ethan took a step towards her so did her beta, even after knowing he won't be able to defeat an alpha it was his job to take care of his Luna.

"Someone out there is killing innocent people like you said and I don't have time to prove my innocence to each and every person out there thinking I'm the reason all this is happening, so if you want a solution to this problem you can stay in the guest room", I said not losing my calm and acting like I wasn't scared at all from her, I wasn't really scared but even if she had smaller physique than me, it looked like she'd give a hell of a fight and I had not intention of making an enemy out of an alliance.

She stood there for a minute, then gave me a file and left the room without saying another word with her beta. When we opened the file it had pictures of another girl she looked around eighteen, she too had blonde hair and green eyes, and was killed with a dagger.

Alpha Warren and Beta Will from White Wolf pack, also arrived the same day and as we suspected another girl, with blonde hair and green eyes, like me, had been killed.

It was time for dinner, all the Alpha's had joined us when the front door of the pack house was slammed open and Alpha Nick of Night Howlers barged in. Before I can even process what was happening, he stormed towards me and from the looks of it  I knew he somehow wanted to hurt me, when he reached me my blood started boiling, and I felt the power running through my veins, and with one movement of my hand he was thrown to the other side of the room before he can hurt me.

But the power was still here, excited to be unleashed, to show everyone what it can do to them, my hands were shaking trying to control it, but it didn't want to tamed.

"Emma, listen to me, come back to me", I heard Ethan's voice and I wanted to just crawl into his arms away from everyone and everything. But the powers, the electricity was still here, infact it was everywhere, and it was like I couldn't control it.

"You control it, don't let it control you Emma", I heard him again.

And this time I tried to control the energy, I imagined the white light running through my whole body and tried to control it, collecting it in my hands and then slowly trying to take it all in, and it felt like we had some understanding, as if it started listening to me, and when I tried to pull the whole energy back in, it happened, and all of it went away.

And just like that I was back in the room with all the Alpha's, staring at me as if they've seen ghost, and Ethan was holding me up which I was very grateful because right now my whole body ached with pain.

"What are you? A witch?", Alpha Warren said in a disgusted tone as if I was the dust under his boots or something.

"She is my Luna, and you are to respect her or you can leave", Ethan growled not liking this tone.

"But what was that?", Alpha Vera asked and this was probably the first time I heard unsurity in her tone.

"She's the golden wolf", said Alpha Smith who looked the least affected from all of this. I mean he was the oldest one among us so he must've known about all these myths, and prophecies.

"It doesn't matter who she is, you killed Eva", Alpha Nick said with venom dripping from his voice, he was badly injured, he was limping indicating his leg was hurt, cuts on his face, and the shoulder where the light must've struck him looked like an almost healed burn thanks to his werewolf healing.

"Who?", I asked because how can I kill someone I don't even know.

"My sister", he said and pulled out a picture from his pocket, when he reached us, giving it to us.The picture was a bit torn up but still clear enough for me look at a young girl around eight or something, she was smiling at Alpha Nick who was holding her in the picture, both of them do look alike, except the girl has blonde hair and green eyes. And that's why she was killed.

Because she looked like me.

ETHAN'S POV

"We'll talk about this tomorrow", I said looking at all the Alpha's and specially Nick. Their pack is one of the oldest alliance we have but that doesn't mean he can get away with disrespecting my Luna. The only reason I was willing to leave this scene was because I knew there were million worse thoughts running through Emma's head, and she was my priority.

We went back to our room and she was silent the whole way there, not even looking at me. She sat on the bed as I removed her heels, and then her dress, and pulled on one of my tshirt she wears to bed, then I tied her hair knowing she doesn't like to sleep with them open.

Both of us laid in the bed together but I knew we we're a thousand thoughts away. I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling the covers over us, "Are you okay?", I finally asked the question I know I shouldn't have asked.

Because in seconds her shoulders started shaking, her face was snuggled in my chest, as she cried. Her fists tightly closed around my shirt, her whole body was shaking but her cries were silent, as if she didn't want anyone to know about it. I don't know for how long she kept crying and I didn't try to stop her because sometimes people just need to let things out, and they don't want solutions for all their problems instead they just want someone, anyone to listen.

"It's all my fault", she said finally. Her eyes were puffy and her whole face was pale, but she looked so much more relaxed than earlier in the meeting.

"None of that is your fault", I said even though I knew she wasn't agreeing to it anytime soon.

"How can you do that?" She asked, sitting up in the bed, confusing me but maybe she noticed it as she answered my unasked question, "How do you lie so well Ethan, huh? Knowing there are innocent people dying, because of me, suffering because of me, losing their families because of me and still tell me that I'm innocent?", She said, her face full of pain and frustration. She felt guilty about what happened and she wanted someone, me in this situation, to blame her just so she won't feel too bad about blaming herself.

"You did nothing Emma, none of that was your fault, you didn't kill anyone, you didn't harm anyone. Don't let what other's say get to your head baby, you're innocent", "They think I'm a monster", atleast she wasn't thinking that about herself.

"Then prove them wrong, show them who you are. You're the Golden wolf, our savior, the Luna of Golden moon, and so much more", I said softly cupping her face.

The urge to kiss her in this moment when she looked at me with those green orbs, with her lips slightly parted, and those big glassy eyes, was too much but then she said, "Your saviour, huh?", And all I could do was to laugh.

"You've always been my saviour baby, and always will be", I replied before softly kissing her.

I guess our first day as a married couple wasn't all bad afterall.

Hey snowflakes, here you go with another update. Hope you liked it. We are reaching towards the end of the book, and I'm both sad and excited, but the end isn't THAT close yet. The point is, I appreciate all the people reading and supporting my work. Hope you're doing well take care.
