ETHAN'S POV
"What's that supposed to mean?", She asked probably to herself. I don't know when but at some point we became so comfortable around eachother, which was going to happen as we were literally made for eachother, that we started thinking out loud around eachother. Before I can answer her question she looked up at me with those beautiful green orbs making all my thoughts disappear.
"Ethan, I said do you know what this means?", She said tugging my free hand lightly bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, it's um a prophecy", I said because that's all I knew. I had already readed many of these books when we were in highschool, when everyone was preparing for exams I had to prepare myself for being the future Alpha too, at that time it all seemed meaningless to me and I didn't pay enough attention to these but I did remembered some of it fortunately.
"And?", She asked still looking at me biting her lower lip making me think about things I'd like to do to her.
"Ethan, you're mind is somewhere else, pay attention", she whined again. She became more needy since we mated and I loved it.
"You've got all my attention baby", I said kissing her softly unable to resist her, specially when she was all cuddled up against me and her scent was probably all over me.
"Now you're distracting me", she said pushing me away but I pulled her back, instantly missing her warmth, before she can even move away.
"Fine let's read, and all I know about that prophecy is that well it's a prophecy", I said as she turned the page. We sat there reading, I wasn't a fan of reading but I didn't mind when I had my mate beside me. I don't know how long we sat there but we completed a whole book about different Alpha's of the pack, nothing different or nothing about a wolf with supernatural powers, or as the vampire liked to call it 'the golden wolf'.
Suddenly the door of our office opeaned, without any knocking, again and Rose and the vampire entered hand in hand. Rose looked more happy now that she was with him, and even though I didn't like him I was truly happy for her that she found someone too, and not someone like me who would play with her. Those two were a perfect match for eachother.
And also quite annoying when they were together.
Just as we looked at them, Alister started roaming around the office and touching random stuff, like papers or photos on my desk saying he's just looking around making me roll my eyes at him where as Rose just stood there looking at us making heart eyes at us, "aww did we interrupt something?", She asked.
"Yes", Emma said at the same time I said "No, and get your little vampire under control" just as he was about to open a drawer where we kept emergency condoms, for well emergencies.
"Oh who did you just call little", he said now standing in front of me, but I was still a bit taller than him.
"Guys, stop", Emma said pulling me back as Rose pulled Alister back too.
"So, to what do we owe this pleasure", Emma asked and then elbowed me for scoffing at the pleasure part.
"Well, one a reminder that you have to complete reading those books soon and two I'm going to train you from tomorrow be in the training ground at 6am, alone", the vampire said the last part eyeing me while I had to suppress a growl.
"Oh okay, sure", Emma said casually.
After dinner we dived back into reading, and then I saw a book that I hadn't read before which was wierd because my dad forced me to read almost every book about our pack history. It had a blank black hardcover nothing written on the cover, also pretty thin compared to the other books we read, when we opeaned it it too had the same thing, the prophecy written on it, and the rest of the pages of the book were hand written.
It had a story of a wolf and a witch who was supposed to kill the wolf but fell in love with him instead. I realised this was the same story Alister had told us about Emma's parents. I looked at Emma and she too looked shocked, noticing my eyes on her she looked up at my with watery eyes, "Do you wanna stop?", I asked but she shook her head.
The story was quite realistic probably because it wasn't just some story, it did mention that the witch and the dark wolf had a baby but the gender wasn't mentioned, alot of details were not given making it a bit confusing because of which it might have been considered a tale, a story, totally fictional and not real.
When we ended it, Emma just hugged me, and I can feel her pain through our bond, I knew she didn't want to talk, she just needed some time to process the information and so I just hugged her back providing her the comfort she needed.
"Let's just sleep, okay?", I asked after a while and she agreed.
I woke up again in the middle of the night, the other side of the bed was empty but still warm. The bathroom was empty and when I went downstairs I found the kitchen empty too, but the front door of the pack house was open which was supposed to be locked. I didn't want anyone to get hurt, if the repeat of last time when Emma ran away happened and so I decided to go alone, kinda stupid I know.
The wind was blowing, too much, winter had arrived here already but it was not supposed to be this cold. I decided to look for something strange or different but everything seemed pretty normal, that's is untill I heard footsteps from behind me, and took in the sweet scent of my mate the wind brought, but ofcourse there was nothing when I looked around.
I decided to follow the scent of her which led me to our place, to the clearing where we used to go, with the small cabin behind it, there was something about this place which was just different not in a bad way though.
The only way I can explain the feeling was by saying it felt my our, my and Emma's, place. And when I finally reached there after crossing the huge stones covering it, I saw her.
She was sitting alone, with her back to me but when I went closer she suddenly turned around and there was this rage, this fire, in her eyes that I've never seen before and out of nowhere she attacked me, but I somehow managed to dodge it.
"Emma, stop", I said when she tried to punch me I pulled her to me with her hand and turned her around, with her back to my chest and my arm around her shoulder, but then she used her other hand and elbowed me losing my grip around her and turning around directly punching me, and I was pretty sure my nose was bleeding.
"EMMA!", I tried to bring her back to reality but it seemed impossible as the only thing she was interested in was beating the shit out of me. She kept attacking me and I kept dodging, my wolf was also anxious with the thought of his mate attacking him but we both weren't okay with attacking her so we decided to stick to defence mechanism.
I don't know how but she managed to bring us to the cabin while fighting and suddenly had my back against the wall of the old cabin and her claws at my neck, her eyes locked with mine and her pupils were dilated to a point where they almost looked black, both of us were breathing heavily, she was looking at me but I knew she was far away from here, and then she suddenly she closed her eyes, when she opened them my Emma was looking back at me with confusion, worry, and alot of other emotions all of which I felt through our bond and then she asked, "What's going on?"

EMMA'S POV
I opened my eyes and found myself near the clearing, I don't know how I got here but it felt like this is where I was supposed to be in this moment, that's when I noticed a beautiful woman sitting alone near the clearing, when I sat beside her she didn't even move, I touched her shoulder but it was like she couldn't feel, hear or see me; her long blonde hair were braided loosely, her blue eyes staring off in distance when a movement brought her out of her trance, she turned around and saw a man, he had green eyes and dark hair, there was something dark and dangerous about him which made the woman curious about him.
"Hi, I'm Selene", she said giving him a smile.
"Donovan, nice to meet you Selene", he said and the way he looked at the woman made her feel things.
Things she wasn't supposed to feel, not with him atleast. They sat and talked, alot and when it got late they both went back probably to their homes. And then I was watching them meeting at the clearing everyday, getting closer and closer. And then they disappeared, like they weren't even there and I was at the Alisberg lake, watching as Donovan proposed her and she said yes kissing him, and then again they disappeared.
Now I was at the boundry of our pack, I watched Selene running with a baby in her arms, when she tried to cross the border some guards tried to stop her but with one wave of her hand they were both frozen, she went to the pack hospital and then I saw my mom and dad as they tried to calm her but all she could say was, "he's coming, for her", and then she handed the baby to my parents, and things started to disappear again but I managed to hear Selene say, " Her name is Emma".
And then we were back at where it all started the clearing, Selene was sitting the same way like she did on the day they met, then Donovan came, "Where is she?", He asked.
"You'll never find her", she said not even looking at him.
"You will regret this, my love", he said as he sat beside her gently tucking her hair behind her ear. If someone looked at them they'd probably look like a lovely couple I thought.
"No you will regret this, she will end this Donovan, she will end you", Selene said and just as the spoke her last words Donovan took the dager from her hand which had magically appeared and stabbed her.
Suddenly I was standing at the same place, but in reality with my claws extended and Ethan under me, he didn't even look scared that I could have killed him with just one move, and that's what scared me more the amount of trust he had on me when sometimes even I myself couldn't control what I do.
And then I decided to finally voice my thoughts as I asked "What's going on?"

Heyy, snowflakes. Things are really coming together now and I'm reallyyyyyy excited for just making this whole book a bit more clear as I know it gets confusing sometimes.
Also I do think I'm gonna updated as much as possible and not keep you guys waiting.
