"Surprise!!!" And I quickly turned towards him, making a brief eye contact with him before he gently held my shoulders and turned me to face towards the garden of our wing.
Ishanvi's POV
Rudransh pointed towards the newly cutted green grass but I wasn't able to see it clearly. I ascended towards the balcony door and slowly opened it. Walking for some distance on the stone paved path, it led to an enormous garden with a fountain in between and a little pond with water imprinting it's presence on the surrounding because of moonlight and flowers covering its surroundings,
my favourite part of the garden.
The merely wet grass touched the soles of my feet, making a shiver pass down my spine due to its cool sensation. I felt a presence behind getting me alert but soon relaxed, sensing the familiar scentâ Rudransh's.
I roamed my eyes to and fro but couldn't see anything.
"Didn't find it yet!?" Rudransh's familiar accent came into my ears. I quickly shook my head in desperation, knowing very well if Rudransh prepares something for me, it will be something very surprising.
He slowly turned me towards a part of the garden where there was pure green lush grass, gleaming like a star under the dim moonlight.
There stood my baby. Leo, he is a black Panther. But due to some issues regarding its health, he was sent to Singapore for further treatment. Goossh he is back. He was looking healthy as before, and fine. He would look at me with his special blackmailing doe eyes, but to my bad, he was sleeping. He was sleeping on the grass, an old habit of his. It's okay he must be tired. A silent urge to scream passed through me but I pressed my hand on my mouth to stop myself.
I felt Rudransh's hand circle through my shoulders and creases a little there. I hid my face in his neck and sobbed a little as tears pooled in my eyes. And turning this half side hug into a full bone crashing hug. I hugged him with a little force, conveying my silent thanks to Rudransh, getting him to stumble back a little.
"Stop crying, or else I will have no option but to send you back to the room!!" Rudransh said in a stern voice just to soften his eyes a bit when IÂ glared at him. Now I won't let anyone get him away from me. But due to my loud sobbing, he woke up.
"Shit, I woke him up!!" I exclaimed but more like a whisper, due to being at lack of words and words getting caught up in my throat. He looked at me for a few minutes before straightening himself up a bit.
He was now finally up, recognising me and Rudransh fully. I smiled towards him and he marched towards us and engulfed our legs making me crouch down. I got down on my knees and scooped him into my embrace. He quickly got closer and tried to snuggle himself more into my embrace. His arms around my neck and legs around my waist, indirectly he hugged me. I feel so blessed to have him back in my arms.
Author's POV
Rudransh looked at the reunion between his wife and his baby. He noticed the way Leo tried to hug, or rather hide himself more in Ishanvi's hug. She emitted a comforting yet spine-chilling aura. He had always noticed how the animals and babies try to seek her presence, her protection. She wasn't just some woman but rather she was an epitome of beauty and feminine until you have the guts to challenge her Velvet side.
No doubt he was jealous of the baby in the video but he understood yet he didn't. Leo is like their baby but still he sometimes felt jealous. Yes. The great Rudransh Yaduvanshi felt jealous, no one could ever think even in their wildest dreams that he would get jealous over any female, but she wasn't just some any female but rather she was his wife. His other half and his life. This marriage was considered as an arranged marriage but it was more than that.
It was an arrange marriage for the world, but love marriage from both individuals.

But without knowing what had gotten into him, he hugged both of them together. A family hug. Something which he yearned for in his childhood, his entire life until she arrived. His Anvi. But well it wasn't just from one side, Ishanvi too had it. It wasn't just that healed her in every possible way but it was more like he mended the glass piece of her heart, mind and soul which he never broke neither did he know, he was just there. Whenever she needed it. Him.
He tightened his embrace, getting the flashbacks he always feared of. His past which had the power to ruin his future but not this time, he once had mistakenly let it win but not this time. The fear of losing his small family. This pain had made him so lethal that if anyone dared to look at them in a way that was harmful, he won't even have a second thought.
They felt two other pairs of eyes around them just to look at Kiaan and Feri. And Kiaan being ever-so-dramatic started his drama.
"Haww mere bina!! Bhabhi yeh bhai toh pehle se hi be'dil the, aapko bhi inki sangat ka ashar lag'gaya!!" He dramaticly put his hand on his chest. And ran towards them, taking the three of them in a hug.
[Haww without me!! Bhabhi bhai is heartless from the start, but you too being in his company has become heartless like him!!]
Rudransh didn't say anything but when he noticed that Feri too was looking at him then innocently with her doe eyes, he smiled at her and extended his hand towards her completing a family hug which every person present there was yearning for.
The youngsters and Leo found the mother's comfort in Ishanvi which they neither felt nor got, which was also one of the reasons why they were this protective of her and comfortable with her. Even at her maternal home, Ishanvi was the eldest daughter due to which she always emitted a comforting sense to her surroundings.
When Rudransh first saw her, she gave him a sense of comfort which he was craving for since he could remember, whereas Rudransh was someone who proved her that not all men are same (controversial statement), he gave her warmth in the world filled with men who would always gaze at her with lust. The only one who saw the real her rather than her body.
The one who loved her for who she is rather than who she is seemed.
It was all until Rudransh felt something poking his biceps. And it was his dear Anvi.
"I am very hungry!!" She mouthed to him while pointing towards her stomach and they broke the hug, when Rudransh cleared his throat,
"I think we all might be hungry!! So get up!!" Rudransh announced making everyone get up except Ishanvi. Feri was about to give hand to her to stand up but Kiaan interrupted making Ishanvi gasp,
"Oiii Feri, it's bhai's right!!" Making her stand up instantly and running around the garden, leaving behind Feri, Rudransh and Leo. All three were looking at the iconic bhabhi-devar duo with astonishment whereas feri spoke,
"Well this idiot wasn't entirely wrong bhai!!" She spoke making Rudransh shock, hearing his naive sister speaking this teasing language.
"I think you should stay away from Kiaan!!" Rudransh exclaimed.
"Stop you both, we need to have our dinner!!!" Rudransh called both of them, patting Feri's head and she went to her room with Kiaan, after bidding them goodbye. Ishanvi opened her arms for Rudransh to pick her up and Rudransh did it too! He picked her up in bridal style and put her down in front of the washroom door.
"Go and freshen up, I am here only!" And she went into the washroom.

Magical time skip,
All were seated at their respective places and All the dishes were settled on the dining table with half of the dishes already served. Rudransh on the head chair waiting Ishanvi on his right side. Arjun was sitted there with Kiaan. Feri already had her dinner as she was very hungry. Just as he looked towards the kitchen, Ishanvi entered there with a pot. She was wearing her night dress with two maids following her.
"I'll serve them myself!" Ishanvi spoke in a gentle yet commanded way.
"Kyu banaya itna sara? Thak'ti nahi ho kya!?" Rudransh quietly whispered in her ear as she settled beside him after serving them.
[Why did you make all this? Do you not get tired!?]
"It ain't the matter, it's just that I was craving for it myself, so..." As she completed the sentence, she shrugged her shoulder and took the first bite, and closed her eyes at the taste of homemade khichadi.

"It's best, bhabhi!" Kiaan complemented her. Kiaan and Arjun left to their room leaving both of them alone in the dining room, when they heard,
"You're eating without me!!" Feri too came while rubbing her eyes as she had woken up now from her sleep. She took a plate and served herself the meal. As everyone continued their dinner, she silently sat beside Ishanvi on her right and placed her head on Ishanvi's shoulder. She patted her head and told her,
"Eat it while it's warm, it won't taste good after it gets cold."
"Could you feed me?" Feri asked Ishanvi innocently to which she nodded and fed her a spoon of it while eating some bites herself too. Rudransh stood up and went to the washroom to wash his hands. As he came back, he saw his wife and Feri talking while giggling with each other.
"Haww, no wayyy!!!" Ishanvi gasped at Feri's sentence.
"Yes, he did it in front of everyone!! Even one of our teachers saw it too!!" Feri said while laughing a bit.
"How embarrassing would that be for him!! And you madam find it funny, how pitiful!" Ishanvi spoke in a pitiful tone while shaking her head from side to side. Rudransh capture the blissful moment, a reminder of how just the presence of that one person can change your entire life.
Just as they saw Rudransh looking at them with his hands folded, Ishanvi told her to go to her room and sleep. Feri murmured a little good night and went to her room.
"You ate?!" Rudransh asked while arching his eyebrows. She nodded as an answer to his question. But knowing her a little too well, he shook his head and told her to go to their room. Rudransh picked up a plate and went to their room. Yea he could've ordered someone to do this but he just cannot let anyone have the pleasure of serving his dear wife and because of which the entire cooking staff was shocked!!
She was playing with Leo when he entered the room with plate in his hand. She was sitting near the bed side with Leo lying around and turning which made her giggle. Both of them looked at him, one with a pout and other while lying with its head upside down. And yeah the second was their panther ka baccha!
[Panther's baby!]
"You're late!!" Ishanvi exclaimed while making a face.
"And I apologise for the delay ma'am!" Rudransh apologise in a not-so-serious tone.
"That's okayy!" Ishanvi loselessly said, making Rudransh chuckle and sit on the bed's side with the plate on his lap. He tore a piece of roti and directly put it in front of her mouth, making her quickly take it in her mouth.
"You know I was really hungryyy!!" She said while stretching the last word and turning her head to face him with a scrunch face smile.
"Me too!!" Leo roared while snuggling his face in her lap, making Ishanvi laugh at his old antics.
"Ohhhhh!" She teased him and he gave her a smile.

"Open your mouth, Anvi. It's the last bite, please!! Or else you'll get a stomach ache!!" Rudransh said in a stern tone, and fed her the last bite. Knowing his wife and her antics a little too well. If she won't eat right now then she'll have a stomach ache. He called a house helper to take the plate.
"Khadoos!" She murmured underneath her breath making Leo quickly nod.
[Arrogant!]
"I know, baby!!" She said and ran her hand on his head. Leo quickly ran towards the large L-shaped couch, placed in the corner of the room, she turned her head to see Rudransh coming towards her.
"Can we sleep, now!?" Ishanvi asked being tired after a tired day with her eyelids being heavy and a pout. Rudransh nodded and took place beside her. They were about to lay down when his phone rang, showing that it was Feri's call. He picked it up and said,
"Hello, bhai!!" Feri was the first one to speak.
"Hmm"
"Can I and Kiaan take Leo to my room, please!!"
"Please, bhaiii!" He separated the phone from his ear, hearing Kiaan plead..... scream on the phone.
"Just take him with you, and tell that loud speaker to give warning before yelling out that loud!!" Rudransh replied.
"Open the door, bhai!" He sighed knowing that this loud speaker brother of his will never obey his words.
"Just cut the call!" Rudransh ordered and they cut the call, he went near Leo and said softly,
"You wanna sleep with your bua??" He squated down to his level and asked making him quickly shook his head as yes in desperation.
"Have a safe night, Leo!!" He again said and ran a hand through his body.
Rudransh stood up with Leo following him. He opened the door knob to see Feri smiling at him sweetly and Kiaan hammering his head on the wall beside the door.
"Don't mind him, bhai." Feri reassured him.
"I know. Yeh pae'daish hi pagal! Diwaal ko kuch hua na Kiaan toh mein bhi fir Teri help karunga!" Rudransh told the first sentence to feri and then turned to Kiaan while saying he last sentence. But in reality he was worried for him that he might hurt himself.
[I know. He is an idiot since birth. If anything happens to the wall, then I too will help you in that task!]
"Good night, bhai!" Both of them said together and went from there. He leaned on the wall looking at the three of them until they left from his sight. He closed the door and went back to the room, just see Ishanvi trying her level best to not fall asleep. He smiled at her antics. She saw him and called him to come quickly.
They both layed in the dim light room with moonlight coming in their room in a wobbly way because of the water reflection. Her hands wrapped around his torso and her legs tangled with his and had on his chest. He placed his chin on her head while trying to completely seek the peace and warmth that she emitted and wrapped his arms around her. He admired her for a few minutes and placed a last good night kiss on her forehead and the crown of her head.
He closed his eyes in satisfaction and tightened his arms around her as if trying to protect her from any danger or the upcoming danger.
And that night,
When she fell asleep,
With her head on his chest,
He again fell for the same girl,
Who he had fallen in love with,
Years ago and
After all this yearning he has her. Her....
