The drive to Lily's house was filled with silence. Lily's mind wandered back to yesterday's events as she rested her head on her arm, her eyes closed as the wind caressed her hair.
"What are you thinking about?" Jason grabbed her attention.
Lily sighed looking back at him "Just don't want to go back home and face my parents yet"
"You don't have to go back yet then"
"Are you saying that you'd spend the day with me if I don't go home?"
Jason rolled his eyes at her teasing tone "Don't flatter yourself"
"Well that's so lovely of you, but I can't just run from my problems, facing them now is better"
"As you wish"
Deep down Jason was disappointed.
The car came to a halt in front of Lily's house and Lily thanked Jason for the umpteenth time.
Lily wanted to say something , anything to the pretty boy that was watching her every move , but she didn't know what to say other than a simple 'Thank you'.
She opened the door and got out ready to close it behind her.
"Lily" Jason called before she had the chance to fully close it.
A small wave of excitement surged through Lily's veins as she replied with a 'Yes?'
Jason didn't know why he stopped her, he just didn't want to leave like that.
"See you around, brat" He said with a wink.
Lily smiled at that and winked back , more like tried to but in fact she just scrunched her whole face. Jason chuckled at her expressions and she pocked her tongue out at him.
"See you around, cocky boy"
And with that Jason watched as Lily waved at him one last time before the door was opened and her mother engulfed her with a hug.

The weather was getting colder each day, the gloomy sky matched the students mood as school was starting tomorrow.
Lily stood in her bathroom, in front of her mirror, preparing herself mentally for the first day in her new school.
It's already nerve racking to be back in school so imagine how nervous Lily is as she would be considered 'the new girl' and not in just any school.
Lily's good behavior and high marks finally paid off. She couldn't contain her happiness when she received the great news that she earned a scholarship from the most expensive and well known school in their city and maybe even country.
After the small ted talk with herself, she headed to her bed and pulled the duvet over her. Her mind played a memory from when Jason dropped her off.
'See you around, brat'
It's been a week since Lily and Jason last encounter and she couldn't help but wish that she'll have the chance to meet him again.
Although he was cocky and arrogant and kinda bossy , she still found herself eager to see him again even for a few minutes.
Little did she know she'll in fact be spending more than a few minutes with him.
In the morning, Lily rushed around her room trying to pack her stuff while the toothbrush was hanging from her mouth.
She forgot to set an alarm and thus she woke up late. If it wasn't for her mother she would've been sleeping still.
"Bye mom, I love you". Lily waved back at her mom who wished her a great day.
Her dad was going to drop her off since he was heading to work anyways. He loved flowers and nature in general , he owned a small nursery and a flower shop in the city.
I think that explains why he chose to name her Lily.
Lily White .
It was a perfect name in her dad's opinion. A white Lily symbolizes purity and rebirth. Just like Lily's pure kind heart and just like how he felt that her birth was as if his life just started.
"Have a nice day , honey" James, her dad, said as she exited the car.
"Thank you dad, love you"
"Love you too"
Lily tried masking how nervous she was and straightened her back while taking a deep breath.
'Come on, you can do this . You're stronger than this' she tried assuring herself.
"Excuse me" Lily stopped one of the passing students , acting nonchalantly.
"Yes?" The boy seemed shocked that she stopped him, he didn't recall seeing her around the school before .
"Sorry for interrupting, but can you please tell me where the main office is?"
"Yeah , it's in the second floor, first door to your right"
"Oh okay thank you so much "
"Are you a new student? I don't think I've seen you here before"
"Yeah I'm new here , this is my first day in this school"
" Welcome to this hell whole then. I'm Cole by the way"
"Nice to meet you , Cole" Lily said, shaking his hand.
"And you are?"
"Oh sorry, I'm Lily" I'm so awkward , Lily thought.
Cole only smirked at her nervousness although she tried to act cool, he saw right past her act.
"Well Lily" Cole said as his phone rang "I'd like to stick around and chit chat more , but I have to go."
"It's okay, thanks again for your help"
"No problem" Cole winked at her , before disappearing among the sea of students.
It was now lunch time and Lily didn't even talk to anyone besides Cole. She couldn't wait to go back home to the safety of her room.
This school was full of rich snobby kids and she wanted nothing to do with them. All of them looked at her with judgment , apparently having a scholarship student who has no money to afford Chanel bags is humiliating.
That's why she avoided talking to anyone. Although they were all wearing school uniforms and looked the same ,they were far away from being treated the same.
Money rules everything.
You have money? You're going to have no problem.
You don't have money? You're going to be treated like dirt.
Money equals happiness, people say.
Honestly Lily thought that was ridiculous. Sure you need money to live but money is numbers ,and numbers never end. If it takes money to be happy, your search for happiness will never end.
"Yoo , Lily" Lily heard her name being called and snapped out of her thoughts.
She looked around the cafeteria ,which held lots of students, who were all staring at her right now.
It was Cole who called her name , he wanted her to join his table. One look at his table was enough to send her running away.
But she didn't. Instead she smiled at him and headed towards him ,while trying to master all the courage she had.
Suddenly a figure got in her way as she bumped into someone's chest. Lily didn't have enough time to stop herself before her nose hit the other guy's chest.
She stepped back as soon as she realized what happened and rubbed her aching nose muttering a quick 'sorry'.
"Watch where you going, little doll"
Lily didn't appreciate him blaming her when he clearly was the one to step in front of her and yet he has the nerve to call her little doll.
Lily didn't want to create a scene on her first day so she bit her tongue and forced out another 'sorry'.
"Aren't you such a pretty good girl? " He chuckled as he stared down at her boobs.
Lily couldn't stop herself anymore " Aren't you such a cocky ugly bastard ?"
The guy's eyes darkened as a few chuckles were heard. Meanwhile, Cole watched with amusement as Lily handled the school's most cocky player.
Although he was ready to interfere if anything goes wrong.
"Don't mess with me doll or else you'll regret it"
"Aww what are you gonna do? Run to your daddy and tell him a girl insulted me for being a pervert?"
The guy was absolutely angry at this point and his friend's laughter didn't help.
"Bitch ,you don't know who you're dealing with. Thank god you're new or else you'll be dead by know" he threatened.
"Oh no I'm so scared, please forgive me" Lily mocked.
The guy grabbed her arms with a tight grip and pulled her closer to his face. Lily tried wiggling her arms out of his grip , but who was she kidding? Her noodle arms were going to get crushed.
""Last warning, bitch" he warned with his breath hitting her face.
"Eww go get a mentos or something" stupid Lily , why can't you keep your mouth shut?
Before Cole could interfere a punch landed on the guy's face as he went flying backwards.
"Get your filthy hands off of her, motherfucker"
Lily stared with shock at the back of the guy who helped her. He seems familiar.... His hair , his voice...
Holy smokes!
He turned around , her eyes met his, and it was indeed him...
"Jason?" Lily asked , breathlessly.
Jason smirked then whispered so that only she can hear what he's going to say "Hi trouble, getting into fights since day one?"
Lily was still trying to get herself to understand what's going on , her eyes dazed and her mouth wide open in shock.
"If you touch her again you're dead, Robin" Jason warned the guy who was clutching his bleeding nose then turned back around facing Lily.
He pushed her mouth close , his fingers pushing upwards under her chin "Close your mouth brat , you'll catch a fly".
