Well that's a load of bullshit.
I mean life does go on, but it will never be the same again, there will always be something missing. It doesn't get easier at all, we just get stronger and learn how to live with the pain.
You never forget... never.
Maybe your mind tries to deceive you into believing that you forgot, maybe you try not to think and busy yourself with anything. But they will always be on your mind or just hidden there.
You try to not think about them in an attempt to move on, but you see them in the smallest things around you.
A certain smell, a movie, a song, a place, and even a word is capable of breaking their memory free from the prison you tried so hard to lock them in.
You could be eating at a restaurant and see their favorite dish and just like that the pain of losing them hits you ten folds.
You are walking in the street and the rain starts pouring down on you and brings back that day you both danced and played under the rain.
You hear someone calling their daughter at the park by the same name as them and your heart aches in longing.
You see them in the smallest and simplest details in your life and you realize what a huge impact they had on your life.
The only thing that helps you stay strong is the thought of them being in a better place, watching over you and urging you to move on.
Everyone has a purpose in life, and when their purpose is fulfilled they have to go to the other side. In fact everything in this world happens for a reason, you might complain about it and not understand why it's happening, but you don't know what better thing is waiting.
"And perhaps you hate a thing and it has good in it for you, and perhaps you love something and it has bad in it for you"
In the circle of life, death is not the end, but a doorway to eternal peace and serenity. Everyone will die in the end, we all know that, the meaning of life is just to be alive. It's so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.
Life has to end, but love doesn't.
Love is not affected by death, it doesn't end, it doesn't diminish, it doesn't change. For what we once enjoyed and deeply loved we never lose, for all that we loved deeply becomes a part of us.

One year later
Jason looked way different now.
It's been one year and one week and two days since Lily's death. Her death had a huge toll on Jason's life. It had a life changing impact, but not necessarily a good one.
His dark hair was longer than it has ever been. His beard was now growing out, he shaved it few days ago, but the five o'clock beard was already visible.
His eyes... his eyes were dark and scary. They were dull, the sparkle that was once their died with his wife and baby girl.
His body was larger, bigger, and much stronger than before. He worked so hard on himself and trained everyday for the past year, he would spend hours in the gym when he wasn't fighting.
His muscles gave him a manly figure even though he was still eighteen years old. His face was sharper and his jawline looked like it could cut diamonds.
Jason's tired eyes scanned the school's ground, searching for his siblings, he was waiting for them to go back home. They were strangely late and Jason didn't like that, not a bit.
Will, Cole and Elijah appeared from the school's front doors and headed directly towards Jason, who was about to call them.
"Where's Alex ?" Jason asked the second they reached his car.
"He didn't come yet? We sent him before us like ten minutes ago to tell you that we're going to be late because we were talking to the coach" Cole explained.
"No, I disagree see him" Jason said, clenching his jaw.
"It's Alex, he's probably hitting on some random chick" Will said.
"Call him" Jason ordered.
Elijah pulled his phone out and called him five times and still no answer.
"He's not answering" Elijah said.
"You guys stay here in case he gets back, and call me if he does. Cole go look for him in the main building, I will look for him in the sports building"
"Roger that, boss" Cole faked a salute and left before Jason punches him for his stupidity.
Jason looked everywhere for Alex, but he couldn't find him anywhere. There was one last place left, the basketball court.
As he approached it he could hear faint voices coming out of the court and as he got closer the voices were clearer.
"You will pay for what you did, stupid kid" Some guy said.
"Oh come on, you want to keep this stunning piece of chick all for yourself? Another guy said, but Jason recognized the voice, it was Alex.
"Shut the fuck up, motherfucker. Just because you're from the king's family doesn't mean you can do whatever you want"
"Actually, I can and I will" Alex said arrogantly before adding " Plus I don't know why you're so pressed over me hitting on this whore, she's the school's sex toy, you open your mouth and suddenly she's on her knees, sucki-"
Alex was silenced when the other guy punched him in his guts and he groaned in pain. Jason's hand balled into a fist as he kicked the door open in anger.
No one. No one at all can hurt his family and get away with it.
The door hinges hit the wall loudly as Jason barged in, grabbing everyone's attention. Two guys, twins, wre holding Alex back while the bitch and a blonde guy were standing in front of him.
Alex looked up and his eyes widened in an 'Oh shit' look, not for him, but for the other guys, they gonna get fucked up. Also, Jason has a lot of warnings from the school, if they find out that he got involved in another fight, he will get expelled.
And his parents... they won't be happy at all. They already warned him if he keeps messing around they will send him to an anger management institution.
The other guys gulped in fear as they noticed the deadly look on Jason's face. Jason was the scariest out of the King's brothers they met and no one wants to get on his bad side.
"Get your filthy hands off of my brother before I break it, fuckers" Jason warned and they instantly let go of him.
"What happened? Not so strong anymore?" Alex mocked.
"Alex, go wait for me in the car, your brothers are waiting there"
"But Jason-"
"Alex, do as I told you"
"Okay, okay. Just don't do anything stupid. We were just joking around" Alex said, trying to calm him down.
Jason looked at Alexand and saw a bruise forming on his cheek.. they're gonna regret they were born.
Alex raised his hands in surrender as Jason warned him with one look to leave. Alex hurried outside to find his brothers before Jason gets himself into trouble.
"We're sorry, man, we don't mean any harm, we just wanted him to leave my girlfriend alone"
You mean no harm, yeah?" The twins nodded at that.
"You should've thought of that before touching my little brother."
"Listen, man, let's just forget about this and we will never get involved with your brother again" The blonde said with a shaky voice.
"Nah, I have a better idea" Jason said as he grabbed the stupid blonde from his shitt and puched him with all his anger surging through it.
The guy flew, his back hitting the floor as he screamed in pain like a little girl. The bitch and the twins took advantage of the situation and made a run towards the door only to be cornered by the rest of the brothers who caught them.
"Going somewhere?" Cole asked, pushing them inside.
Jason was beating the shit out of the blonde guy, he was covered with his own blood. Cole and Will rushed towards him to stop him, but he wouldn't budge.
His anger issues got worse each day since Lily's death and it was getting out of control. The principal and the school's security ran inside and got Jason off of the blonde who was unconscious.
"Call the ambulance, all of you to my office"
"We're going home" Jason said motioning to his brothers to head to the car.
"You can't lea-"
"Shut the fuck up old man before I smash your head next to that motherfucker" Jason shut him up and exited the school's doors with his brother behind him, who were all worried about him.
